Report via New York Post -- YNW Melly’s legal problems have somehow gotten worse.

Already a suspect in the murder of two of his friends, the Florida rapper has now allegedly been connected to the killing of a sheriff’s deputy, according to VeroNews.com.

The website reports Indian River County Sheriff’s detectives want to question the 19-year-old, whose real name is Jamell Demons, and his friend YNW Bortlen, whose real name is Cortlen Henry, about the 2017 shooting of deputy Garry Chambliss.

Sources tell the website that the two rappers are believed to be part of a group of people firing gunshots when Chambliss was struck by a stray bullet. Detectives reportedly believe that one of the two fired the fatal shot.

“After that shooting in Miramar, our detectives will be following up for possible information in connection to the Garry Chambliss homicide,” Captain Tony Consalo told the website. “Perhaps, given their current situation, they might be able to shed some light on the case.”

Earlier this month, Demons was arrested for allegedly killing two of his friends, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr., in late October and trying to cover up the crime by making it look like a drive-by shooting.

“A couple of months ago, I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system wants to find justice,” the rapper, who has worked with Kanye West, wrote on Instagram before surrendering to police. “Unfortunately, a lot of rumors and lies are being said. But no worries, God is with me.”

Henry is accused of helping Demons to stage the crime scene.
