It's incredible to think that after releasing 12 solo albums and many classic records, Nas has never won a Grammy. That could change tomorrow night. He's nominated for four Grammys at the 55th annual awards show.
The song "Daughters" off of Nas' Life Is Good album is nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.
The rapper told MTV that he's just happy his 17-year old daughter Destiny still sees him as being a cool dude.
"I think she's more happy for just the fact that her dad's not corny," he said. 'Cause, you know, her dad could be ... [it's] your parents! So I'm just lucky that we cool, that she still thinks I'm cool."
HipHollywood also caught up with Nasir at his pre-Grammy concert.
"I'm just happy to be in this game. I feel like there's a lot of people out there that deserve to be acknowledged, not just me," the rapper said.
The Grammys air tomorrow night at 8PM EST.

Mary J. Blige was hit with a lawsuit Thursday alleging she had defaulted on a $500,000 loan from Bank of America.
Reuters reports that the bank filed the lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court. They say the singer took out the loan in 2005 and stopped making re-payments in June 2012. B of A is looking to recoup $511,324 in principal and interest on the loan they claim the singer owes.
This is the second lawsuit in the last several months filed against the 9-time Grammy Award winner. In November 2012 Signature Bank took legal action over an alleged default on a $2.2 million bank loan by the singer and her husband.
HipHollywood caught up with Mary on the red carpet of Vibe's inaugural Impact Awards show held on Friday at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, to talk to her about the recent stories that have hit the press about her.
"There's really nothing you can say about the negative things that are in the media about you," Mary said. "All you can do is keep pushing, keep your head up and just let people be people. [Let] haters hate and just do what you do. Use all of that to fuel you to do something better."
The news isn't all bad for Mary, who has sold 50 million albums worldwide during her career. On Friday Vibe honored her with their first Impact Award.
"It feels great to be honored with the Impact Award tonight. Because I believe I've made an impact on so many people's lives. It feels good," she said.

Toni said she will tour sporadically, but has to careful with that because she has Lupas. You can catch Toni in an upcoming Lifetime movie, Twist of Faith. It airs February 9 at 8PM on Lifetime TV
