Waka Flocka Flame has a lot of love for his furry friends. In fact the Atlanta bad boy revealed to XXLMag.com that his passion for animal rights inspired him to be involved in the new PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) campaign.
Launching on February 22, Waka will be joining PETA’s “Ink Not Mink” campaign in Los Angeles, CA alongside Lady Gaga, Pink, and Mariah Carey, Flame’s publicist, Kali Bowyer said.
When commenting on his involvement with PETA, the 1017 Brick Squad rep told XXL, “Animals should be treated the same as you would a kid. Would you want someone just to walk up and skin your kid? Hell no!”
Well double damn! Hackers have singer T-Pain in a vendetta kind of mood, but is he self destructing instead?
Last June the singer said he wouldn't be releasing his new album 'RevolveR' until album sales picked up.
"I got the mastered version of my album in my car right now. But I'm not bringing my album out until these artists start selling records again, 'cause ain't nobody selling records unless you Susan Boyle," he told MTV News.
Those comments caused a bit of a backlash amongst some of his fans and others, so T-Pain took to his Twitter to vent his frustration and start leaking his own album.
Since nobody wants to respect this form of art that you all say we "love" so much, I'm just gonna go ahead and start leakin the album myself tonight. well maybe I shouldn't rant but everybody was lookin at me strange when I said I didn't wanna drop my album, it's not that album sales weren't doin good for hip hop and rnb, it just felt like no one respected "music" anymore. You know what, you guys enjoy the post game and I'll find my own ways to take care of my family. Oh and bty the "I Am T-Pain" Toy Microphone is comin in June (google that). To all the hackers and leakers thanks for showin interest in my music but I feel like I've been taken advantage of when I'm just tryin to let ppl know what's goin on with my music and then you audio highjack it for your own amusement I would have been happier if you would have just waited to get a better quality version of the song but it's cool its pretty much my fault anyways, so for the most part y'all can suck a fart out of a homeless mans ass. And to the fans, I know I talk a lot of shit but I'm a cool dude and I wanna say that without y'all and Tallahassee and Akon and Bu and the nappy headz and the team that I have now, I wouldn't be half the guy I am today so thank you as well. Here we go again YASIMELIKE
He then leaked 2 songs, "Seperated" and "Bes Luv Song" featuring Chris Brown.
Being mad is one thing, but giving away your hard work for free is another, and makes no sense at all.
It's a normal human tendency to try and remember the best things about a person after they pass away. That's why when truly great artists like Jimi Hendrix, 2Pac or Aaliyah pass away we place them on a pedestal.
James Dewitt Yancey aka Jay Dee or J. Dilla belongs in that category. Today would have marked his 37th birthday, he passed away age age 32 from thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a rare blood disease.
He left behind a great body of work from music produced for Erykah Badu, Common, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Raekwon and many more.
To his own solo work on "Love Japan", "The Shining", "Welcome To Detroit." And group efforts with Slum Village/J-88 and JayLib, a collaborative effort with Madlib.
Below is a documentary that was put together around the time Dilla died. Also peep some of my favorite songs produced by him.
What were some of yours and where do you rank Dilla amongst all producers dead or alive?

Passengers on a recent flight into L.A.X. got a special treat when B.o.B. gave an impromptu performance of his hit song "Airplanes."
The Atlanta rapper is a six time nominee at the upcoming Grammys on February 13.
And no B.o.B. was copying Kanye West, who similarly rapped during a flight last year. He just happened to be flying Delta, the official airline for the 2011 Grammys, hence the promo.

She's not the 1st, won't be the last and certainly wasn't the worst, but you can add Christina Aguilera to the National Anthem "wall of shame" for getting the words all mixed up.
She sang ‘‘What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming’’, which is the same line from earlier in the song but with the word ’watched’ instead of the word ’hailed’
She should have sang, ‘‘O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming."
She joins Carl Lewis, Roseanne Barr, Keri Hilson and others as entertainers that have butchered the National Anthem.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has turned the Green Bay Packers into Super Bowl champions once again.
Rodgers threw three touchdown passes and Nick Collins returned an interception for another score, leading the Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
This was Green Bay's fourth Super Bowl title. The Packers won the first two Super Bowls with Vince Lombardi coaching Bart Starr, and captured another with Brett Favre in January 1997.
The Steelers trailed 21-3 before halftime. Ben Roethlisberger got them within 28-25 midway through the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass and a nifty 2-point conversion. The Packers answered with a field goal, giving Roethlisberger one last chance.
Needing to go 87 yards in 1:59 with one timeout left, Roethlisberger couldn't make it across midfield.
Wow, what a fight last night between Vitor Belfort and Anderson "The Spider" Silva.
Silva maintained his stranglehold on the middleweight division, defending his belt for the 8th time with a spectacular front kick knockout in the 1st round.
Belfort didn't seem to see the kick coming,
"He faked to the body and kicked to the head," Belfort said. "Anderson's a great fighter."
Actor Steven Seagal accompanied Silva to the ring and in a post-fight interview with Karyn Bryant was very vocal about having taught him the kick that won the fight.
"I couldn't have been happier because right before he walked out I said stay away from him for the first 2 or 3 minutes... just kind of get him frustrated and then fake low and come high and do that kick that I've been teaching you... and kick him to the head or the face. He did exactly what I said and exactly what I wanted to happen happened." Seagal said.
While I have no doubt Seagal has a relationship with Silva and probably trains with him, it's very unusual for a trainer to try to take credit for a victory like Seagal seemed to do.
Seagal went on to say it's a kick he learned 30-40 years ago in Japan and he's since been perfecting it.
Do you believe Silva learned that knockout kick from Steven Seagal?
Even when you're high off the most potent Kush, you shouldn't do anything this stupid.
Robert Michelson of Farmington, Connecticut called 911 to ask how much trouble he could get into if he was growing weed.
He was asked by the dispatcher if his call was "life threatening or a crime in progress."
"A crime in progress maybe. I was just growing some marijuana and I was wondering what the... how much trouble you can get into for 1 plant," Michelson asked.
After he was told it would be considered "possession", he said thanks and hung up. The only problem was he had called from his own house.
Not soon afterwards police arrived and found out Michelson was growing a small amount of weed and had drug paraphernalia.
He admitted that he had spent lots of money getting all the things he needed to grow weed - seeds, lighting, etc.
He was arrested and released on $5,000 bond.
As he left the station he reportedly gave the two dispatched the middle finger.
With friends like Akon, Soulja Boy, Trav, Kevin Cossom, Bubbles, Amazin Amie and a bevy of beautiful women packed in the club, Sean Kingston had himself one hell of a 21st birthday party.
While the rest of the country is freezing, party goers at Club Play in Miami's South Beach enjoyed warm 80-degree weather last night (February 4).
