IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — A prominent law enforcement training group is promoting a lengthy research document riddled with falsehoods and conspiracies that urges local police to treat Black Lives Matter activists as terrorists plotting a violent revolution.

The document distributed by the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association contains misinformation and inflammatory rhetoric that could incite officers against protesters and people of color, critics said. It alleges Black Lives Matter and antifa, an umbrella term for leftist militants, are “revolutionary movements whose aims are to overthrow the U.S. government” and claims they are planning “extreme violence.”

Phillip Atiba Goff, a Yale University professor who is an expert on racial bias in policing, called the document dangerous, noting that the association is an important source of training materials for many small and midsize departments across the country.

“It’s stunning. It’s distressing in many ways. It’s untethered to reality,” said Goff, CEO of the Center for Policing Equity. “I worry that it leads to people dying unnecessarily.”

The association in October sent a link to the 176-page paper, “Understanding Antifa and Urban Guerrilla Warfare,” in an email news update to its thousands of members. The document, labeled “restricted to law enforcement only,” is one of the few publicly available materials on its website. The Associated Press learned of the document from one of the policing organization’s members.

The group’s executive director, Harvey Hedden, defended the document, which he called one member’s opinion and open for critique and debate. He said the association supports the exchange of ideas and strategies to improve criminal justice training but does not endorse specific approaches.

Hedden argued that fact-checking the paper or restricting its distribution would amount to censorship and that its publication would allow for peer review by other trainers.

“There will always be differences of opinion on training issues but so long as the disagreements remain professional and not personal we do not censor these ideas,” he said. “I am willing to allow the trainer to evaluate the information themselves.”

He added, “Just like law enforcement, I am afraid BLM has earned some of these criticisms and others might be overgeneralizations.”

The Black Lives Matter movement emerged in 2013 after the acquittal of the Florida man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, and exploded in size and influence earlier this year after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. Protests across the nation were largely peaceful but occasionally marked by clashes with police or the destruction of property. Since then, many activists have been working to reduce the scope and cost of local police departments and overhaul police training.

Boxing's Jarrell Miller has been suspended for performance-enhancing drug use. Again.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) voted unanimously Wednesday to ban Miller, the heavyweight once tied to a big title fight against Anthony Joshua, for two years due to a positive drug test for the banned substance GW501516. Miller can get a six-month reduction to that suspension if he completes a performance-enhancing drug treatment program, as well as a random drug-testing program administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) at cost to the fighter.

Miller, 32, was scheduled to fight Jerry Forrest on July 9, 2020 in Las Vegas, but failed an out-of-competition drug test leading into that bout and was forced to withdraw.

In June 2019, Miller was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua for Joshua's WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles at Madison Square Garden. In advance of that fight, Miller tested positive for GW501516, a metabolic performance-enhancer, which caused the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) to deny him a license. Miller tested positive for banned substances erythropoietin (EPO) and human-growth hormone (HGH) in a subsequent test. The WBA suspended Miller six months.

In an interview last June with Fight Network, Miller said he has never taken "a steroid for performance-enhancing purposes," but has used drugs to heal injuries.

"Did I take something for healing properties, for injuries?" Miller said. "Yes, I have. But to win a fight and during a training camp? No, I have never done that.

"Nobody can be more outraged than me. I'm the one that's lost millions of dollars. I'm the one that's had his career on the line."

Miller (23-0-1) has 20 knockouts in 23 pro victories. The Brooklyn native has not fought since a 2018 win over Bogdan Dinu to claim the WBA-NABA interim and WBO-NABO heavyweight titles.

OCKLAWAHA, Fla. — A woman from Silver Springs has been charged with murder after she shot and killed a man on Saturday, according to deputies.

The victim, Michael Hofacker, 39, was walking with a woman in the 3200 block of S Highway 314A when a vehicle pulled up alongside them, deputies say. Hofacker walked up to the car to see why they stopped.

Jennifer Hill, 41, who was inside the vehicle, asked Hofacker his name, deputies say. Hofacker responded, "Mikey."

Hill then took out a pistol and shot the man in the face, according to deputies. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Deputies from Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrived to the scene where eye witnesses said they had seen Hill shoot the victim.

Hill admitted to the shooting; however, she says she thought the victim was a man named Michael Beach, who she accused of breaking into her home and threatening her.

Hill was arrested and charged with second-degree murder without premeditation. She is being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.

Video After The Jump

In this clip, Mike Tyson started out by imagining how his life would be different if his first trainer, Cus D'Amato, lived longer. Tyson explained that Cus wanted to capitalize on a big fighter, which Mike was becoming, and he thinks Cus would've gotten him a lot more endorsements. Moving along, Mike spoke about becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history in his 1986 fight against Trevor Berbick. Tyson admitted that he wanted to "kill" Berbick for hurting Ali in a previous fight, and he went on to speak about not being surprised about Berbick being killed by his nephew.

Lil Chris X FBG Duck - "Southwest" @LilChrisktown

12353612692?profile=original

Southwest is a 16 track album from Chicago based artists Lil Chris and the late FBG Duck. Originally scheduled to release on September 14th 2020, the date was pushed back due to the untimely demise of collaborating artist FBG Duck. To pay tribute to the late rapper, 7 of FBG Duck's songs were released to the public. They were received with positive reviews and only added to the excitement of the fans for the upcoming project. Upon its release on Nov 30th 2020, Southwest charted at #50 on USA Hip-hop/Rap Itunes Charts. This success was welcome but not unforeseen due to the fanfare both artists possess. The chemistry of both artists shines throughout the album as well as their reflections on their respective life struggles and stories.

Looking back at both artists' lives, it is hardly a surprise that their sound holds a lot of meaning, influence, and flavor.

Christopher Ward, a.k.a Lil Chris, and Carlton D. Weekly, a.k.a FBG Duck first met in Chicago's bustling music scene back in 2015. Both artists were on their musical journeys, with Lil Chris producing music in his own home music studio. FBG Duck made the most of this partnership as they started having joint recording sessions and made well over 50 songs as a duet, not to mention the other 200+ plus they wrote and produced.

Lil Chris has seen his own bumps on the road as he was raised in a packed household and dropped out of high school to pave his own way. According to him, he was raised in a neighborhood that was teeming with violence and drugs. Despite these negatives, he was able to focus on his music and craft his own sound.

FBG Duck had a similar life path that was related to gangs and violence. This never stopped him from reaching new heights, especially with his hit single 'Slide' that reached over 53 Million Views on Youtube. Sadly, the artist passed away on August 4, 2020, and never saw the success of a project he worked hard on.

Southwest is available on major streaming platforms for the world to enjoy.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday the Justice Department has not uncovered evidence of widespread voter fraud that would change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

His comments in an interview with The Associated Press come despite President Donald Trump’s repeated baseless claims that the election was stolen, Trump’s effort to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election and his refusal to concede his loss to President-Elect Joe Biden.

Barr said U.S. attorneys and FBI agents have been working to follow up specific complaints and information they’ve received, but they’ve uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome of the election. Barr was headed to the White House later for a previously scheduled meeting.

“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told the AP.

The comments are especially direct coming from Barr, who has been one of the president’s most ardent allies. Before the election, he had repeatedly raised the notion that mail-in voter fraud could be especially vulnerable to fraud during the coronavirus pandemic as Americans feared going to polls and instead chose to vote by mail.

Shortly after Barr’s statement was published, Trump tweeted out more baseless claims of voter fraud. And his attorney Rudy Giuliani and his campaign issued a scathing statement claiming that, “with all due respect to the Attorney General, there hasn’t been any semblance” of an investigation.

Last month, Barr issued a directive to U.S. attorneys across the country allowing them to pursue any “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities, if they existed, before the 2020 presidential election was certified, despite no evidence at that time of widespread fraud. That memorandum gave prosecutors the ability to go around longstanding Justice Department policy that normally would prohibit such overt actions before the election was certified. Soon after it was issued, the department’s top elections crime official announced he would step aside from that position because of the memo.

The Trump campaign team led by Rudy Giuliani has been alleging a widespread conspiracy by Democrats to dump millions of illegal votes into the system with no evidence. They have filed multiple lawsuits in battleground states alleging that partisan poll watchers didn’t have a clear enough view at polling sites in some locations and therefore something illegal must have happened. The claims have been repeatedly dismissed including by Republican judges who have ruled the suits lacked evidence. Local Republicans in some battleground states have followed Trump in making similar unsupported claims.

(CNN) Patricia and Leslie McWaters spent 47 years together, raising their children, then grandchildren and then great-grandchildren. And last week, they died together of Covid-19, within the same minute.

"They literally did everything together and although we're shocked about it, when we look at it, we also think it's not so surprising, because they were together all the time and they had so much fun together in life," said one of their two daughters, Joana Sisk.

The McWaters are among the 268,087 people to have died from the coronavirus in the US, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. And as the number of hospitalizations consistently reaches new highs, experts worry higher numbers of deaths will follow.

At first glance, the two were quite different: she was a no-nonsense retired nurse, and he was a fun-loving veteran and retired truck driver. She was the boss, and he was the king of one-liners. But the common denominator everyone saw between Patricia and Leslie "LD" McWaters, Sisk said, was their genuine kindness and care for other people.

They enjoyed being together hosting pool parties, attending family sporting events and going dancing at the bar where they met.

"Pat was the most beautiful woman ever and boy did she look good in hot pants and go-go boots!" Sisk remembers her father saying.

But then Pat went to the hospital to get treatment for a coronavirus infection, Sisk said. She was told to go home and isolate, which she did. After 35 years in the medical field, she didn't question the doctors, though she felt poorly, Sisk said.

The following week, the couple went to the hospital again, this time in an ambulance. They were there for a week.

When they died of the virus, the hospital staff tending to them said their times were too close to call, and recorded the exact same time: Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 4:23 p.m.

"Those of us that know them, know that mom went first and said, "LD, it's time to go!" Sisk said.

A friend of Tekashi69′s who arranged a 2018 shooting in Times Square at rival rapper Chief Keef was sentenced Tuesday to 4 1/2 years in prison.

Kintea “Kooda B” McKenzie added time to his sentence by claiming in the spring that he was at heightened risk of catching coronavirus at the Metropolitan Correctional Center because of his asthma. Judge Paul Engelmayer agreed and released McKenzie — who was then captured on a YouTube video partying in a cramped apartment, smoking, drinking and dancing.

The 22-year-old McKenzie was “doing everything possible to contract coronavrius,” Engelmayer said during his Manhattan Federal Court sentencing conducted remotely due to the pandemic.

“You had lied to me when you said you were concerned about the coronavirus,” Engelmayer said. “You were essentially celebrating pulling one over on the court to secure your release.”

McKenzie is the last person to be sentenced in connection with the headline-grabbing takedown of the Nine Trey Bloods, which resulted in the arrest of Tekashi69. The trash-talking rapper betrayed his fellow gang members and cooperated with the feds. Tekashi scored a light sentence of two years and is again trolling enemies on social media while his former buddies in Nine Trey serve lengthy sentences of as much as 24 years in prison.

In 2018, Tekashi fueled his fame by starting gang beefs with rivals, including the Chicago-based rapper Chief Keef. McKenzie, a member of the Gorilla Stone Bloods, accepted Tekashi’s offer of $20,000 to shoot at Chief Keef. McKenzie then recruited another shooter, who has not been identified, to open fire at Chief Keef in the early hours of June 2, 2018, while he stood outside the W Hotel. No one was injured. Tekashi ultimately paid McKenzie only $10,000.

“You could have said no, you could have taken a pass, but you were all in,” Engelmayer said. “You lined up a hitman.”

Prosecutors said during the hearing that they had reached out to Chief Keef to see if he wanted to speak at the sentencing — but that he wanted nothing to do with the case.

McKenzie said he’d gone astray after getting a taste of fame through his friendship with the rainbow-haired rapper. Tekashi named a hit song, “KOODA,” after McKenzie.

“I allowed myself to look up and listen to someone with more success and fame,” McKenzie wrote to the court. “I thought he was a good friend. I was excited he named a song after me.”

Mayne - "Think Bigger" @Mayne100tho

12353603493?profile=original12353602681?profile=original
“Deeply passionate” for a lack of better words is probably one of the best ways to describe Mayne’s music. Conscious content is something he strive to bring with every track; by bypasses the mundane perspectives to life and just aim his lyrics straight to the soul of his listeners, with an ancient motif. The spiritually inclined loves his music and compare it to a high transferred to beats, a melodic tone emulating the meditative state or trance. Mayne (born Jamel Swain) is an American rapper, songwriter, and poet born in Mississippi, raised in Maryland and spent time servicing in the Marine Corps. The military veteran, poet and recording artist seen his share of struggle growing up in a single parent household; however, he always tried to make decisions based on family values that would benefit those around him as well as himself. Mayne would like to think of himself as being very knowledgeable to many styles of music and listens to a lot of different genres which brought him to the realization that all forms of music has an energy connected and speaks through that connection. Mayne is original and consider his music to be a new wave and thrives off trying to bring back an element within hip-hop that’s rarely heard today. He believes his music is necessary and is what the people have been unknowingly waiting for, and if it’s not his music to shuffle in this new age it is the energy that’s growing and is waiting to be heard. It’s spiritual.
