Former NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is in stable condition after being stabbed overnight at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex in Pittsburgh, according to NFL Media. Police were on the scene Saturday morning, according to a report from WTAE, and Pryor was initially in critical condition when the attack was first reported.
An unidentified woman is in custody at Pittsburgh Police Headquarters for allegedly being connected, according to the report. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Pryor was stabbed in the shoulder and chest.
The Jeannette, Pennsylvania native has not played in a regular season game since Nov. 11, 2018. Pryor was drafted as a quarterback by Oakland in the third round of the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft. After five seasons with the Raiders, Seahawks, Chiefs and Bengals, he began transitioning to the wide receiver position. In 2016, the Ohio State product recorded 77 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns with the Browns. Since then, he has recorded just 36 receptions with the Redskins, Bills and Jets. He joined the Jaguars this offseason but was consequently released in September.
Pryor, now 30 years old, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2008 with the Buckeyes. He also won the Big Ten championship twice and currently holds the NFL record for the longest touchdown run by a quarterback (93 yards).

The Starbucks employee who gave an Oklahoma police officer cups of coffee with the word "PIG" printed on the label has been fired, the company said in a statement Friday.
The Kiefer police officer went to the Starbucks in Glenpool on Thanksgiving day to pick up five drinks, CNN affiliate KTUL reported. Kiefer Chief Johnny O'Mara told the news station a customer pointed out the label on the cups to the officer.
"What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town," O'Mara wrote in a Facebook post, where he shared a picture of a cup with the "PIG" label on it.
The coffee company called the incident "absolutely unacceptable" and said it is "deeply sorry to the law enforcement officer who experienced this."
"The Starbucks partner who wrote this offensive word on a cup used poor judgement and is no longer a partner after this violation of company policy," the statement read. "This language is offensive to all law enforcement and is not representative of the deep appreciation we have for police officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe."
In a joint statement, Starbucks and Kiefer police said they're using the incident "as an opportunity to leverage our shared platforms to promote greater civility."
The company will meet with Kiefer police to discuss ways to work together, including by jointly hosting a Coffee with a Cop event at Starbucks for local law enforcement to meet with baristas and community members to discuss "the critical role dispatchers and police offers play in keeping our communities safe," the joint statement said.
Chico DeBarge -- the R&B singer known for the '80s hit "Talk to Me" -- probably needs to talk to a lawyer soon ... he's been arrested for drug possession.
The younger bro of the DeBarge family musical group got busted in Burbank, CA earlier this month in a Walmart parking lot after cops saw him using a piece of wire to try to unlock an SUV ... according to police.
Thinking he was trying to break in, officers approached and searched DeBarge ... and allegedly found methamphetamine in his pockets. He was placed under arrest, and cops say they also discovered drug paraphernalia in the SUV.
Oh yeah, it turns out the singer had locked his keys inside ... which is why he was trying to jimmy the door open.
Chico was booked at the Burbank City Jail before being released. We're told formal charges are pending review by the City Attorney.
DeBarge rose to fame in the '80s with his self-titled debut album featuring his hit single and followed it up with a second album ... before he served prison time for drug trafficking.
He made a comeback after his release in the mid-'90s, but never achieved the success of "Talk to Me." The singer was busted for drugs again in 2007 and has admitted to struggling with addiction for years.

CHICAGO (Fox 32) - A man was hospitalized after being slammed to the ground by police Thursday in Chatham when he allegedly spit on an officer while being detained for drinking alcohol in public.
About 3:58 p.m., officers saw the 29-year-old drinking alcohol at a bus stop in the 700 block of East 79th Street and approached him, according to Chicago police.
Police said the man became “irate” and licked the face of an officer and made verbal threats toward the officers, police said. When the man spit in an officer’s eye and mouth, the officer performed an “emergency takedown,” according to police.
A 41-second video of the incident that was posted to social media appeared to show the man facing a police SUV with an officer standing behind him when the officer picks him up off his feet and throws him to the ground. The man appears to lie motionless in the street as other officers gather around him.
Jovanna Alexiss Jamison, 22, witnessed the incident and recorded the video that was posted to Facebook.
The man “didn’t do anything aggressive, he just stood there,” according to Jamison. “He was standing there using his cellphone. They took away his bottle of liquor and threw it.”
The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center by police, where he was stabilized, according to spokesmen for CPD and the Chicago Fire Department.
The 32-year-old officer who was spit on was taken by ambulance to the same hospital for evaluation, officials said.
The officer’s use of the emergency takedown maneuver will be investigated by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA), according to CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.
“This incident is under investigation as the actions in the video are concerning,” Guglielmi said in a statement Thursday night. “If wrongdoing is discovered, officers will be held accountable.”

The Band of the Hawk gives thanks to all the Hawks worldwide with a brand new album from their lead lyricist, Yeaux Majesty. PRINCELY ROBES, produced entirely by Noah Archangel, is the first solo project from Yeaux Majesty since he changed his name from KING in 2017. The project features 10 new tracks with a couple features from fellow Hawks Juskwam and Spear Chukka. Unlike the previous releases, PRINCELY ROBES has a unique sound, dubbed “Southern Fried Boom Bap”. They keep the nitty gritty 90’s sounds, but overlay it with some futuristic sounds and that southern 808 bass. Songs like “God’s Children” & “King Midas” give you that classic New York feel. Then comes tracks like “Turds” and “Hueston Gospel” sound new but still restore the feeling of something real. Plus the usual BOHUP skit rounds off the record. This project fulfills the status quo for any BOHUP fan, but surely will attract new fans alike that were missing that extra touch. #BOHUP
Fan Tip: If you listen to ‘A DIFFERENT CLOTH” first, then stream PRINCELY ROBES, it makes for a flavorful experience.

French Montana says he's getting better every day following a medical scare that put him in a hospital bed ... and he's finally out of the intensive care unit.
The "Unforgettable" rapper just shared an update on his health ... announcing he's out of ICU and on the road to recovery.
It's good news for French ... as we first told you, earlier this week he was still suffering from the effects of severe exhaustion and dehydration following a travel schedule that took place in several countries in only a few days.
French has been hospitalized in Los Angeles since last week. Police were first called to his Calabasas crib for a burglary, but it turned out to be a false alarm. When cops arrived, they made contact with French and determined he was seriously ill and got him an ambulance.
No word when French is getting out of the hospital ... but it's nice to see him making progress.
