On Monday, December 1, Fabolous announced he would be releasing his next album entitled The Young OG Project on December 25. The lead single off of it is called "Lituation."
The Brooklyn, New York rapper talked to MTV about the forthcoming release and why he chose "Lituation" as the first offering to the fans.
“This is a word that I’ve been hearing floating around and I thought, why not make a song of it?’ It’s really about a situation that can get lit," Fab said. “You can come into a situation and it can be [calm] and you can turn it up and get it a little lit. It’s real street, like New York street... kinda aggressive. I wanted to start with that just to get the feel, and get you there first, and then the rest of the album will take you different places.”
Fabolous decides to release an official music video for the song "Young OG" off of his The Soul Tape 3 project. The clip was directed by Gerard Victor. Song produced by Mark Henry.

**UPDATE** December 21
Fabolous has released a video trailer for the project. Peep that below.
Like almost every other emcee in New York City, Fabolous heard Kendrick Lamar's"Control" verse and had the urge to respond right away.
In a recent interview he explains why he didn't, gives his opinion on some of the responses he's heard so far and says he could have something up his sleeve.
"I almost jumped the gun I'm not gonna lie, but I'll kind of feel it out. And an OG also told me that if you do... do it on your own time where it works for you. Don't just try to do it to feed the Twitter mentions kind of thing," Fab said. "Nothing's surfaced until it needs to be surfaced. I'd rather do where it works for me. Maybe my next street single might touch on it."
Fabolous contributes a new freestyle titled "Long Kiss" to DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Drama and Flat Fitty Luxury Headwear's new mixtape, Project Showdown. The track is a remix of The Notorious B.I.G.'s"Long Kiss Goodnight."
