In some ways the rap game has gone from sugar to sh*t. Keeping it real isn't what it used to be. Back in the day rappers had to stand for something. That didn't mean being a killer or hustler, it simply meant being who you said you were or else fans would reject you, just ask Vanilla Ice. These days fans don't care so much about that. A guy can for example be an ex correctional officer, then the next thing you know make records claiming to be the world's biggest drug dealer, And nobody cares as long as the music sounds good. There are still a few real rappers left in the game though. G-Unit General 50 Cent is probably the realest, so he knows the genuine thing when he sees it. He talked to XXL in their latest issue about how the game has changed and a couple of artists who he respects. “When I offer aggression, I offer it from an author, a real place,” Fif told XXL co-deputy editor Rondell Conway. “It’s who I am; it’s who I had to be. Not even by choice, but to survive where I came from. So a lot of actual artists don’t have it. They don’t have that thing. Waka Flocka, ‘Hard in the Paint,’ Gucci [Mane], those guys have that.”It’s just a lot of the other artists, I don’t believe them,” he continued. “I believe hip-hop is in a struggle of being artistic or [having] authenticity—which one matters? Because a lot of them that write music that has a street-life theme to it haven’t actually been exposed to very much of that. It’s starting to feel like it doesn’t matter. I’m watching it, and I’m like, Okay, it sounded great, but ya lyin’.” That's real talk from a man who came up the hard way and made it to the top, but never stopped being a real a** n*gga in the process. Pick up the November 2010 issue of XXL to read the rest of 50's interview. twitter-5d.gif

Audio After The Jump Lil Wayne hasn't been out of jail 2 full days and already the vultures are circling. In an interview with POWTV, Chingy's tranny Sidney Star is claiming he slept with the Young Money CEO. I honestly didn't expect this one. Star has basically knocked Kat Stacks out of the box in terms of becoming an unwanted problem for rappers. I actually predicted he would do this. What do you guys think of these latest allegations from Sidney? twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump A couple of weeks ago we got the chance to watch Aryana Starr take a milk bath on BooBooTV. Now she's back to talk about some of the myths of the porn business, what kind of man she likes, her obsession with Lethal Lipps and how she keeps things tight below her waist. "I make sure it stays tight and pink," Aryana says. "I was just on set recently and a guy c**e in like two minutes and blamed it on me." Well damn. you can see how this interview is going to go. Peep the rest of it below and watch her make that a** clap, POW!! twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump Rap has become an international art form now which is a great thing. In every country there are rappers putting their spin on hip hop, but this right here is too much. German rapper Money Boy takes Soulja Boy's hit "Turn My Swag On" and butchers it almost beyond recognition. It has nothing to do with the language difference as he mixes German and English. It just looks and sounds ridiculous when he raps that he's a "rich n*gga." The video has almost 900,000 views in a month since it's been up on youtube. What do you think of Money Boy's "Dreh den Swag auf?" twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump A couple of days ago it was revealed that Kim Kardashian was working with The-Dream on a new album. Then yesterday a song titled "Shake" leaked and was reported to be Kim K's first official song. Turns out it was a hoax. Kim posted the news on her twitter account and website.

"A song called ‘Shake’ was released on the internet today and some websites are claiming it is my voice on the track. It is not my voice. I don’t know who this “audio engineer” is claiming that he worked with me on this song, but he is a liar and a fraud. I never was in the studio with him, and he is using this to gain notoriety. To give quotes to the media and lie about meeting me, let alone lie about recording with me, is just wrong! I have never met this guy or worked with this guy, and that is NOT my voice on this song. It’s really sad what people will do for a little publicity. I want you guys to know the truth. Please don’t believe these rumors." Ms Kardashian did however talk to MTV about her singing aspirations, admitting she would like to work with Kanye West. "He's a musical genius, so I would be honored to work with Kanye," she said "It's all in fun. We're just trying to have a good time."

Video After The Jump Comedians have thick skin, they have to in their line of work. Dealing with hecklers and drunks most of the time is easy. They clown them for a while and usually things quiet down. But when the whole damn crowd turns on you there isn't much you can do. Eddie Murphy's older brother Charlie got treated very rudely at Grambling State University recently. His jokes were bombing and finally the crowd started booing. Watching this all I could think of was that Chappelle's Show skit when Rick James punches Charlie Murphy in the nose then sings "Cold Blooooooodeeeeeed." Charlie showed the crowd the check he got for appearing and told them they could have it back. Yelling "fuck you" as he walked offstage to a chorus of boos. Well damn! Aside from Lil Wayne's inner circle of family and friends there are few who know him better than Bun B. The Texas rhyme spitter and 1/2 of one of the best hip hop duos of all time in UGK (r.i.p. Pimp C), wants more than anything for Weezy to stay out of trouble. In a 2008 interview with Blender Magazine, Wayne credits Bun with teaching him how to be an mc when he listed his top 5 favorite rappers. "I was never into 'Pac," Wayne told Blender. "I always listen to Bun, though. That man taught me how to rap." Bun spoke with Vibe about Weezy's homecoming. "With Wayne, of course we're all happy he's home. I'm just hoping that whatever demons were on him and following him when he went inside, I hope that he left those demons inside that hell hole," Bun said. That's real talk, I'm tired of seeing rappers get locked up period. Whether I'm a fan of their music or not, this madness needs to stop. twitter-5b.gif

Drake has done a lot of collaborations in his short time in the industry. One we've yet to hear is a joint with Joe Budden. But that's not because Joe hasn't tried to make it happen. In a recent interview with Vibe, the Slaughterhouse rapper talks about the collab that would have happened if the timing was right, and a bigger name hadn't come calling for Drake's talent. "The funny thing is that I heard So Far Gone way before it became popular," Joe said. "I actually reached out to him and introduced myself when it dropped. At the time he had just come off a tour, but he definitely wasn’t a star yet. He was going to fly out to New York and get in the studio with me. He didn’t end up making it though, and when he did actually make it to New York, he had to do a Jay-Z session. I know how the game goes, and that obviously takes precedence over a Joe Budden session. But it’s all good.” Might there still be a chance for a Budden/Drake record? "Once he cools down, maybe I’ll get at him. I still think he’s extremely talented as a rapper." We finally got a Budden/Lloyd Banks joint on Budden's 'Mood Muzik 4'. Let's hope a song with Drake isn't too far off in the distant future. twitter-5d.gif

Lil Wayne Released From Riker's Island [Video]

Video After The Jump NEW YORK -- Lil Wayne was released from the Rikers Island prison facility after serving eight months of a year-long sentence for attempted gun possession. Though a guard told MTV News early Thursday morning that he had to wait another day due to "miscalculated" time, at 8:35 a.m. a spokesperson at Rikers confirmed that Wayne had been discharged. In March, Lil Wayne turned himself in to New York authorities after he struck a plea deal in his case stemming from a 2007 gun arrest near the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan. The rapper and his entourage were leaving his first headline performance in the Big Apple when police pulled over his tour bus. The New York Police Department alleged that the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle and later searched the bus. Authorities discovered drugs and a gun, registered in Wayne's manager's name, near the rapper. In New York, gun laws prohibit people without proper registration from being within operating capacity of a firearm. As a result, the rapper was charged with gun possession and eventually pleaded guilty to attempted gun possession. Young Money President Mack Maine stopped by the MTV News offices Wednesday and revealed that Weezy would celebrate his homecoming with a party Sunday at a Miami strip club. According to Maine, Wayne's musical family plans to "just treat him like a king, like the royalty that he is and make him feel like we really missed him and welcome him back to the family, basically." The party follows Drake's Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour stop Saturday in Las Vegas, a show at which both Maine and Drizzy have hinted Wayne may make a surprise appearance. "I would just advise you to book a ticket out there. If you can get tickets to that show on the 6th, I would strongly advise it," Drake told MTV News about the possibility of reuniting with his mentor onstage. Source: MTV

Audio After The Jump I saw this story circulating about former B2k member Raz B claiming he was sexually molested while in the group by his ex-manager and cousin Chris Stokes, and fellow singer Marques Houston. I really havn't paid much attention, because from what I understood Raz made these same allegations before, but retracted them. But this has taken an even more bizarre turn. In Raz's latest interview was with radio personalty Charlamane Da God. Da God's co-host Jason Lee asked Raz if Bow Wow was involved in any of this given he was friends with the group members at the time. "There were rumors allegedly that [former B2K member] Fizz was with Bow Wow," Lee said. "Bow Wow used to always come to the house in Diamond Bar," Raz-B confirmed "I've always seen some weird sh*t before." Bow Wow heard about this and was heated to say the least. He took to his twitter account to go off.

"That last tweet is for the radio nigga who brought my name up tryna start sumn in an interview. @cthagod you my nigga but ya man is a bitch," Bow Wow tweeted The whole situation sounds crazy. Looks like they are trying to drag more people's names into it to make it more sensational than it already was.
