Fox News - A Massachusetts father was arrested and charged Friday after his 5-year-old son allegedly brought a bag of heroin to kindergarten and told his teacher he turns into Spider-Man when he tastes it.
Benny Garcia, 29, pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession and reckless endangerment of a child.
The boy showed off a plastic bag stamped with the image of Spider-Man that contained a powdery substance, Hampden County Assistant District Attorney Matthew Green said in court, according to the Daily Hampshire Gazette. The boy told his teacher that he turns into the superhero when he tastes the powder. The boy also allegedly said he got the bag from the living room of his home.
Holyoke police officers were called to the school around 11 a.m. Thursday. The boy was taken to a local hospital and later released. Police contacted the boy's mother, who gave permission for police to search her apartment. There they found Garcia sleeping on a bed with other bags of white powder underneath him. As he was handcuffed, other bags fell from his body, according to police.
Court documents stated that police found over 200 bags of heroin and cocaine on Garcia. When officers told Garcia about the situation with his son at school, he reportedly became “very emotional.”
The boy and another infant from the family were taken into state custody.
Garcia will be held without bail until his hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.

SAN ANTONIO (KSAT) – Taymor McIntyre, also known by his stage name Tay-K 47, has been indicted on a capital murder charge in Bexar County.
McIntyre is accused of shooting and killing Mark Anthony Saldivar during a robbery on the North Side in April 2017, the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office wrote in a press release Friday.
McIntyre, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, has already been convicted this year of a separate murder charge in Tarrant County. He was sentenced to 55 years in prison and then extradited on Aug. 9 to the Bexar County Jail, where he currently awaits trial.
While under house arrest in Tarrant County, McIntyre cut off his ankle monitor and fled to San Antonio in 2017.
That's when the teenage rapper allegedly killed Saldivar and then became the subject of a national manhunt. While on the run, he released a song called "The Race," where he posed in front of his wanted poster.
The rapper was eventually captured in New Jersey in July 2017.
In 2018, McIntyre was named as a triggerman in the April 2017 murder of Saldivar in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim’s mother, Lucia "Lucy" Saldivar.
The suit stated Saldivar was in a vehicle with McIntyre and two other people, and Saldivar was robbed of his "expensive camera equipment" and was then forced out of the vehicle.
Saldivar then "jumped onto the hood" of the vehicle to stop the trio from getting away before the vehicle pulled into a Chick-fil-A parking lot on the North Side, the suit stated.
McIntyre is accused of pulling out a handgun and shooting Saldivar to death.
The suit said McIntyre fled the scene after the shooting, leaving Saldivar to “die on the street.”

TMZ -- Jay-Z is unhappy with the way Colin Kaepernick handled his workout on Saturday -- our sources feel Colin "turned a legitimate workout into a publicity stunt."
As we previously reported, Colin bailed on the NFL's workout Saturday and held his own workout instead. Colin claims he wanted transparency -- insisting the NFL would not allow him to have media at the workout.
Sources close to Jay-Z tell us ... Jay is unhappy with the way things went down because he feels the league was genuine in trying to give Colin an opportunity.
Colin went through with his workout at a high school nearby and reviews are mixed. Some scouts are reportedly impressed with Kap's arms strength and talent. And, others are reportedly saying he looked average at best.
Now, the waiting game begins ... and we'll see if an NFL team will pull the trigger and sign the 32-year-old QB.
Stay tuned ...

SYDNEY (AP) — Black Eyed Peas musician will.i.am has accused a flight attendant from Australia’s national carrier Qantas of being racist and rude to him on a flight.
The musician said he was met by police at Sydney Airport on Saturday after an incident with an “overly aggressive flight attendant” who he says was upset with him because he couldn’t hear her through his noise-cancelling headphones.
He tweeted a photo of a police officer and said: “This is how your greeted when you land from Brisbane to Sydney flying @qantas with a #RacistFlightattendant.” He then named the flight attendant.
Qantas said in a statement it rejected the allegation that the incident had anything to do with race and said it was a “misunderstanding.”
“There was a misunderstanding on board, which seems to have been exacerbated by will.i.am wearing noise cancelling headphones and not being able to hear instructions from crew,” the airline said in a statement. “We’ll be following up with will.i.am and wish him well for the rest of the tour.”
He and the Black Eyed Peas are in Australia to perform as part of a world tour.
In other tweets, will.i.am said he wasn’t the only person on the flight to be “disrespected.” Some Twitter users who said they were passengers on the flight agreed with him.
He did, however, get criticized by some who felt it was inappropriate for him to publicly name the flight attendant on his Twitter account, which has 12.8 million followers.
“I don’t regret my actions,” he said, adding in another tweet that “today I FELT discrimination...and I spoke for all the other people who are voiceless.”

The Washington Post -- Nafes Monroe probably knew he was about to enter a risky situation when he arrived in Philadelphia’s Hunting Park area on the night of Oct. 19. Prosecutors say the 25-year-old went there to buy drugs with counterfeit money.
Despite the danger, Monroe brought along three passengers: another man, his girlfriend — and his 11-month-old baby.
When the deal went south, prosecutors say a gunman unleashed a hail of bullets into Monroe’s car, hitting the infant, who had been strapped into the back seat, four times, including once in the head.
Now, prosecutors allege the baby, Yazeem Jenkins, who survived the shooting and is still fighting for his life, didn’t just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Monroe, they say, purposely had his son with him that night — as protection.
“Our investigation has led us to believe that he intentionally had his child with him when he was making such types of purchases with the idea or belief that if someone saw that he had a child in the car, that they would not fire upon him,” Anthony Voci Jr., chief of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit, told reporters at a news conference Tuesday, describing Yazeem as “a human shield.”
Monroe was arrested on Saturday and charged with recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of a child, Voci said.
