Dave Chappelle must be scratching his head wondering what the f**k in going on.

The comedian and actor is facing backlash from GLAAD and The National Black Justice Coalition for jokes he made about transgender people during his new Netflix special, "The Closer."

Now, fellow comedian Michael Blackson is calling the "Half Baked" star a snitch.

One of the jokes Chappelle made was a comparison about the lack of criticism the rapper DaBaby received after a self defense fatal shooting of a man at a Walmart, compared to the cancel culture outcry reaction to homophobic comments he made while performing at the Rolling Loud Festival earlier this year.

"In our country you can shoot and kill a n***a, but you better not hurt a gay person's feelings," Dave joked.

Blackson responded to the joke via his Twitter account.

"Dave Chapelle did not help Da Baby at all smh lol," Blackson tweeted. "Dave Chapelle low key snitched on DaBaby, "The LGBT did not know he killed anyone, now they hate him even more lol. LGBT it was self defense."

Eighteen former NBA players were arrested & charged Thursday with defrauding the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan out of $4 million, officials said.

The defendants include Terrence Williams, Alan Anderson, Anthony Allen, Desiree Allen, Shannon Brown, William Bynum, Ronald Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Christopher Douglas-Roberts, Melvin Ely, Jamario Moon, Darius Miles, Milton Palacio, Ruben Patterson, Eddie Robinson, Gregory Smith, Sebastian Telfair, Charles Watson Jr., Antoine Wright & Anthony Wroten.

Those charged face a count of conspiracy to commit health care & wire fraud.

Williams, a 34-year-old Seattle native who spent four seasons in he NBA, was described as the leader of the plan to submit false claims to the league's health care plan, federal prosecutors out of New York City said.

He would allegedly supply false invoices to support the fraudulent claims in exchange for kickback payments that totaled at least $230,000, authorities said.

The phony medical procedures, some set on dates when the players were out of the country, were allegedly marked to have come from a chiropractic office, two dental offices & a wellness office.

Several of the fake invoices & medical necessity forms stood out because “they are not on letterhead, they contain unusual formatting, they have grammatical errors,” according to the indictment.

Davis was among the most well known of the defendants.

At 6 feet, 9 inches & 289 pounds, he was a fan favorite & member of the last Boston Celtics world title team in 2008.

Telfair, the cousin of longtime NBA player & Chinese basketball icon Stephon Marbury, was famous before he even set foot on the pro hardwood. He was one of his era's most well-known high school players and the 13th overall pick of the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2004 NBA Draft.

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) — A judge on Wednesday ordered Jeffrey Burnham to remain in the Allegany County Detention Center while awaiting trial in the murder of 83-year-old Rebecca Reynolds last week in Cumberland.

But that was only the start of the killing Burnham is suspected of carrying out. He’s accused of then driving to Ellicott City, where police say he shot & killed his brother & sister-in-law, Brian & Kelly Sue Robinette.

Burnham is charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder & 2 counts of second-degree murder in the death of his brother & sister-in-law. We’re also learning more about Burnham’s motives & why his mother contacted police to alert them about his behavior.

Newly released charging documents show that just 1 day before the murders, Burnham told his mother he was upset his brother Brian, a pharmacist, was administering COVID vaccines.

Her mother told police Burnham said “Brian knows something.” She said he believed the government was poisoning people with the vaccine, prompting her to contact police to voice concerns about his mental health & stability.

Last Thursday, police called on the public for help in locating Burnham.

The manhunt led authorities to capture Burnham in West Virginia. He was extradited back to Maryland on Tuesday.

Outside the Robinettes’ home, a small memorial has been assembled. Friends have set up a GoFundMe page for their two children who are now adults.

“Just like their parents, nicest kids in the world,” Perrus said. “All we can do right at this point is be there & support them.”

Burnham has a preliminary hearing scheduled for early November.

Dave Chappelle is drawing a growing wave of criticism for his derogatory comments about the LGBTQ+ community in his newest Netflix stand-up special.

The special, titled “The Closer,” premiered on the streamer on Tuesday & is meant to serve as a final entry in a series of stand-up routines by Chappelle on Netflix. In the new release, the comedian makes explicit jokes about trans women & offers defenses for previous derogatory comments made by figures such as “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling and rapper DaBaby.

Chappelle also references criticism he faced over the past two years for makings jokes about the trans community in his specials “Equanimity” & “Sticks and Stones.”

In a statement, GLAAD called out the pattern of derogatory jokes, saying that “Chappelle’s brand has become synonymous with ridiculing trans people & other marginalized communities.”

The National Black Justice Coalition, a civil rights advocacy group serving the LGBTQ+ community, also provided a statement, urging Netflix to remove the new special from its catalog.

“With 2021 on track to be the deadliest year on record for transgender people in the U.S. — the majority of whom are Black transgender people — Netflix should know better,” NBJC executive director David Johns said. “Perpetuating transphobia perpetuates violence. Netflix should immediately pull ‘The Closer’ from its platform & directly apologize to the transgender community.”

Basketball Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been an outspoken critic of NBA players who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccination.

Jabar told NPR last week that "players and staff should simply be removed from the team if they won't get vaccinated."

The former Los Angeles Lakers great doesn't spare well known stars who are vaccinated, but say it should be a matter of freedom of choice.

"I admire (LeBron James) and have affection for him. But this time, LeBron is just plain wrong — and his being wrong could be deadly, especially for the Black community," Jabar wrote in a piece for Jacobin Magazine.

Kareem also takes aim at Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving, who is one of the highest profile players in the league who, so far has refused to get vaccinated.

"Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, who continues to reject the expertise of prominent immunologists without reason, contributing to vaccine hesitancy among people in the Black community, who are dying at twice the rate of white people," Jabar wrote. "His lack of regard for Black lives doesn’t deserve acceptance, nor does his lack of regard for the health and welfare of the NBA community."

SAN FRANCISCO — A team of cold case investigators say they have finally identified the Zodiac Killer, one of America's most prolific serial murderers who terrorized San Francisco in the late 1960s.

The Case Breakers, a team of more than 40 detectives, journalists & military intelligence officers, believes the killer is responsible for a murder hundreds of miles away that was never linked to him previously.

The Zodiac Killer has been connected to 5 murders in 1968 & 1969 in the San Francisco area. The Zodiac taunted authorities with complex riddles & codes in letters sent to newspapers & police. The murders spawned books, movies & documentaries. Amateur & professional detectives have pored over the case to try to identify the killer.

In the decades since the Zodic Killer's first murder, several potential suspects have been investigated.

The Case Breakers say they have identified the Zodiac Killer as Gary Francis Poste, who passed away in 2018.

The team's years of digging uncovered new forensic evidence & photos from Poste's darkroom. Including an image that features scars on the forehead of Poste that match scars on a sketch of the Zodiac.

Other clues include deciphering letters sent by the Zodiac that revealed him as the killer, said Jen Bucholtz, a former Army counterintelligence agent who works on cold cases. In one note, the letters of Poste's full name were removed to reveal an alternate message.

"So you've got to know Gary's full name in order to decipher these anagrams," Bucholtz said. "I just don't think there's any other way anybody would have figured it out."
