1. Where are we talking from today?
I'm in North Hills, near LA.
2. How is 2018 treating you so far?
Good, and bad. I moved to LA to make my vision a reality, and I'm currently staying at a family's place, I'm technically homeless if it's not for them, but along the way it's been an adventure, I met very nice people along the way, and I had a crazy time here. I'm currently broke and I j wanna get out of this situation as soon as possible.
3. How did you get involved in music?
It's a long story, I'll get into detail in person, but basically, it all started with a project for middle school in English class. They discovered my talent for music all cuz I failed to do my project and I ended up winging it, one of the options was to write a rap so I did it.
4. When did you make music a priority?
When I was in 7th grade, I was 12 years old.
5. What inspires you daily to write & record music?
All the stuff I go thru, what I went thru, and because people tell me I inspire them and they're touched by my lyrics.
6. Name 1-2 highly influential musicians that you listen to & respect?
None, I was inspired by Chris Brown when I was 12 but he ain't my idol anymore, the only real artist whose music I love listening to is Chelsea Cutler and Gryffin.
V3locity AKA Jayla Sparks, was born in Atlanta and raised in College Park. A junior in High School, V3locity manages to balance a grueling music career, while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. A feat not easily handled. This dedicated writer and rapper and has been working on her music since the 5th grade and has always strived to be different in her creation of lyrical art. She has done so and deserves her credit.
And the music she creates deserves just as much credit for being positive. V3locity makes music more for feeling good and having a good time. She delivers with energy and skill. Her latest single "Wild Out" is perfect for clubs, parties or just to turn up in the comfort of your own home. With a soft voice and standing only 4'10', V3locity goes into Super Sayan in the booth. her music is full of life. And will have you out your seat in the first moments that it hits your ears. Breadwinner Kane is back with a new banger called “Antidote“. The track is full of hard hitting lyrics and crazy double timed flows. The track features Profet and is produced by Bugattiondabeat who has had production credits on previous Breadwinner Kane records like “On Errthang” which was released last year. “Antidote” shows Kane’s ability to blend trap vibes with lyricism that can reach the masses.
Breadwinner Kane has been grinding for awhile now, he has worked with artist and producers like Slim 400, Zaytoven, Project Pat, Juvenile and even launched new merchandise on his official website shop. Earlier this year he released his single “Get Away” and with his launch of a new site, merchandise and music there is no doubt a new project should be on the horizon for the rising star.
Multiple gunshots were fired during a Tekashi69 music video filming in Beverly Hills on Thursday night. The song, which features Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, is scheduled to appear on 6ix9ine's forthcoming album.
TMZ reports that a total of eight shots were fired at the rented $80 million mansion. Nicki had not made it to the home yet, but a bullet struck her dressing room. Another pierced a bedroom window.
Kanye was on the scene and immediately left following the shooting.
There were no injuries reported.
