All signs continue to point toward the eventual divorce between Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets. League sources say it is now a matter of when, not if, Anthony and the Nuggets will go their separate ways. Anthony is weighing whether to sign a three-year, $65 million extension offered by the Nuggets. His dilemma, league sources say, is what affords him the best chance of continuing his career elsewhere. Anthony could sign with Denver and convince the team to then trade him. His other option would be to not sign the extension, thereby forcing the team to move him rather than risk losing him next summer as a free agent. During his annual basketball camp in Colorado on Saturday, Anthony said he had no timetable on when he'll decide whether to sign the extension. In either case, "he's going to make it real clear that he's not coming back," said one league source. But both Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke and Anthony already are well aware that they don't have a future together, sources say. That became clear to Kroenke at a reception after Anthony's July 11 nuptials to La La Vasquez in Manhattan. A series of toasts at the wedding reception, initiated by New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul, suggested Anthony leave Denver for the New York Knicks. Paul suggested it playfully, one source said, but subsequent guests -- including Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire and Anthony's brother, Robert -- made the point more forcefully. Then Kroenke stood up to give a toast and the room was filled with an awkward silence, one wedding guest said. Kroenke tried to make light of the situation by suggesting Paul could come to Denver but that elicited no response. While Anthony stood and applauded Kroenke when he was recognized, he apparently did nothing to discourage or dismiss the suggestions that he should leave the Nuggets. "There were other people saying, 'We're going to get you guys together,' but it doesn't become a runaway train if Melo says something," said one source. "Maybe he didn't perpetuate it, but tell people to stop or say, 'Stan, I'm sorry.' He didn't do any of that." Paul has since met with Hornets management and appears less eager to leave New Orleans, but all the signals from Anthony are that he would like to be in a different uniform this season. Wedding signals included. Anthony's agent, Leon Rose, could not be reached for comment and the Nuggets declined to comment. Source: ESPN

TENINO, Wash. -- The woman whose body was found in the front seat of a man's pickup truck has been identified.

Investigators said Vanda S. Boone, 60, died after being repeatedly stabbed on a bike trail in Tenino on Sunday afternoon.

Boone had recently moved from New York to Yelm, according to friends. She was staying with a friend and was working part-time as a massage therapist in Olympia.

Boone is said to be a follower of JZ Knight, the founder of the Yelm-based Ramtha's School of Enlightenment. On Tuesday, Knight released a written statement which said the school would take care of the funeral arrangements.

Police have arrested Bernard Howell, III under investigation of second-degree murder in Boone's death.

Howell, 26, was pulled over while driving his pickup truck near Tenino on Monday. Boone's body was found inside the car.

Erik Kohnhors, told KOMO News Howell showed up on the doorsteps of his Tenino home on Sunday afternoon, agitated, covered in sweat and desperate.

"He was trying to get me to help him move something, and I asked him if it was heavy and stuff, and he said, 'Yeah,' " Kohnhorst said. "His clothes were kind of messed up."

Kohnhorst later surmised Howell was asking him to help move the body.

"That's the only thing I can figure," Kohnhorst said.

Hours later, investigators said a man spotted Howell along Highway 507 near the trail from Yelm to Tenino, loading a body into his truck by himself.

The man told police Howell had asked him to put the body in the passenger seat as his truck bed contained a large, white refrigerator he used to store meat.

The man refused, drove into town and flagged down a deputy. The deputy spotted the truck a short time later and stopped the driver near Tenino Elementary School.

Chief Criminal Deputy Jim Chamberlain said Howell admitted he had a body in his pickup, adding he found the body along the trail and was trying to save the family the cost of a funeral.

Witness Jerry Jones said he watched as officers pulled the victim's body out of the truck, wrapped in plastic and a sleeping bag.

Truck driven by Bernard Howell "You could see between the truck and rear wheel. Here, this person was laying," Jones said.

Investigators said they found the victim's wallet and keys under the front seat.

Officials also said they are looking into whether Howell may be connected to the disappearance of Nancy Moyer, who vanished from Tenino last year.

The 36-year-old mother of two was last seen in March 2009. Her front door was found open, with all her belongings still inside and her car was in the driveway.

Detectives said they have not found anything that links Howell to the case, but are planning to question him as a part of their investigation.

In the meantime, investigators have released a photo of the truck Howell was driving, and are asking anyone who saw the truck in the Tenino area on Sunday to give the Thurston County Sheriff's Office a call.

Howell has a history of mental illness, according to his father. He faces another court hearing Thursday where prosecutors hope to charge him and send him to Western State Hospital for a full evaluation.

Howell is being held on $750,000 bail.

As previously reported on PaperChaserDotCom, Laurence Fishburne's daughter, Montana has embarked upon a career in porn.

The 19 year old believes she can achieve mainstream success eventually, by going this unconventional route.

Other Hollywood stars like Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian and most recently Kendra Wilkinson have all had sex tapes leak without it having an adverse affect on their careers.

In fact, you could argue that Paris and Montana's idol, Kim K. are even more famous because of their sex tapes.

So who's to say if this will work for Montana aka "Chippy D".

"I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape by Vivid," Fishburne said in a press release. "I'm hoping the same magic will work for me. I'm impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it."

Vivid Entertainment is the same company that produced the XXX tapes of Kardashian and Wilkinson. They plan on releasing Fishburne's self titled tape August 18.

"Montana made up her mind to make this DVD before we met her," Vivid co-founder/chairman Steven Hirsch said. "She grew up in the entertainment business and was well aware of our company. In looking at the careers of many current leading female personalities, she saw a path to success and hopes to follow it."

Still though, you would think that with a father who has starred in movies like 'The Matrix', 'King Of New York', 'Deep Cover', 'Boyz In Da Hood' and so many other great films, Montana would have been able to get a break in Hollywood without taking off her clothes.

Oh well.......

Is newly minted Miami Heat star LeBron James getting some heat from his old friend Jay-Z?

The Internet is popping with a report that the hip-hop magnate, who's also a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets, is upset that James kept him out of the loop on his decision to join the Miami team.

The website Mediatakeout.com quotes an "EXTREMELY CREDIBLE insider" - the capital letters are meant to underscore the source's supposed reliability - saying "Jay-Z felt disrespected that King James did not consult with him during the free agency process."

And Gatecrasher got a similar take from a source in Jay-Z's camp. "Jay never expected LeBron to sign with the Nets. He knew that no 25-year-old kid with James' profile was going to spend years in Newark," the source tells Gatecrasher. "But he's pissed, or at least disappointed, that LeBron didn't consult with him."

Still, our source says, "I don't think it's going to affect their friendship."

According to Mediatakeout's insider, James' silent treatment made Jay-Z look bad with Nets' management. While LeBron was making his decision, "he didn't even take [Jay-Z's] calls. It made [Jay-Z] look like he couldn't deliver to the Nets management," the website's source says. If Jay-Z could have landed a star player, "he could have been seen as a legitimate asset to the team," the source said. "Now they see him as just dead weight."

Perhaps, but our source points out that given Jay-Z's minuscule $1 million investment in the Nets, the responsibility to put together a killer team doesn't really lie with him.

"It's not Jay's team," says the source. That dubious honor goes to Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who paid $200 million for an 80% stake in the Nets.

Another NBA insider says Jay-Z's real source of dissatisfaction should be Prokhorov. "The Nets have no basketball team," the source says, saying that Prokhorov "overpromoted and overmarketed" the team, but wasn't able to deliver a player with genuine box-office appeal.

Jay-Z's spokeswoman did not respond to our request for comment by deadline, and a spokesman for James declined to comment.
