Gucci Mane has checked himself into a rehab facility according to a report by Ozone. The Atlanta rapper, who was released from prison in May for violating the terms of his probation, was urged to enter rehab by his manager and lawyer to avoid going back to jail, after relapsing according to the report. The substance Gucci was allegedly abusing is unknown at this time, but he entered rehab on October 14, for a 28-day stay. Upon his release from prison in May, Gucci, born Radric Davis read a prepared statement that said in part. "I have made some mistakes in my life that have hurt a lot of people who care about me. I have worked very hard to get past them, but those mistakes have brought me to where I am today, and they will not be repeated." As we have seen with so many celebrities, substance abuse is a tough battle to overcome. Gucci's latest album 'The Appeal' was released last month. We wish Gucci nothing but the best of luck as he deals with this latest setback. twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump Within a space of a year, Gucci Mane went from being a much-buzzed-about MC to another, if exceptional, inmate at Georgia's Fulton County Jail. After wrapping up a six-month prison bid in May for violating his probation, Gucci got on his grind for his latest LP, The Appeal, which dropped late last month. The Atlanta mic-ripper said the obviously difficult circumstances of his prison stint affected his new music. "I changed a lot in there," Davis recently told the Los Angeles Times. "I know this is serious now and I have a lot to get off my chest. This record is painful and gothic and epic, but it's the soundtrack of my past." Although Gucci is no stranger to a government-issued jumpsuit, having served time in 2006 and 2009, the MC said he had to adjust to certain aspects of life outside the prison walls. "It's strange to go from being locked up to a month later everyone saying, 'Gucci, let's party!' " he said. "But I lost so much in there that I came out with a much sharper focus." As one of many high-profile lyricists entangled in the U.S. penal system, Gucci also reflected that bringing street elements into the music game is an issue for MCs. "(Prison) is a real problem in hip-hop — it's a struggle to let that culture go. You can't let the ideology of the street get you in trouble," he said, adding, "I just wish I didn't have to go to jail to learn that. But sometimes we have to sacrifice and be responsible." Armed with newfound insight, Gucci recently told MTV News that the just-released Appeal LP is a candid expression of his personal experiences and perspectives. "The Appeal, I think, is my best album to date. I had a great time making the album," Gucci said. "It's my last five months recorded of my life. My take on things, my principles, my morals. That's all it is. I just spoke it on 15 tracks, so I think people are gonna love it. If they ain't got it, they need to get it, or they'll hear about it."

Gucci Mane sure is happy to be home. The Atlanta rapper was released from prison in May, and he's been working feverishly ever since. Not only is he crafting his upcoming album, The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted, but fans can look forward to seeing the Southern MC onscreen soon too.

Gucci recently teamed with Lil Wayne to shoot the video (albeit separately) for their collaboration "We Be Steady Mobbin'," from Young Money's compilation album. In exclusive footage from the set provided to MTV News by DJ Scoob Doo, who directed the clip, Gucci beams while texting Drake about a song the pair recorded together.

"Drake just hit me about the song we did," Gucci tells Scoob as he taps back a message to the Toronto lyricist. "We going in."

The "We Be Steady Mobbin' " video is set to premiere on the Fourth of July on MTV Jams. And behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the clip will be featured on DJ Scoob Doo's latest DVD, "Entourage: Fetti Holmes Edition." In addition to Gucci, Wayne and Drake, the project will also feature appearances by Birdman and Jadakiss.

In another scene from the DVD, Gucci is seen talking to Ciara about the visual he and Weezy completed; the two rappers weren't able to film any scenes together since Wayne began his jail sentence in New York just a week before Gucci was released.

"We shooting my part, but Wayne already shot his part before going to jail," Gucci Mane says to Ciara during a phone call.

Since his release, Gucci Mane has said he's embraced a straight-and-narrow path, vowing not to make the kinds of mistakes that nearly derailed his burgeoning career.

"I feel like I got a whole new beginning, like my career just started again," he said in May.

When French Montana and Waka Flocka Flame hit the building, expect the groupies to sniff them out and act accordingly.

Natalie Nunn from season 4 of the Oxygen reality show 'Bad Girls Club' along with Amber from Season 3 hit up the studio where the two rappers were holding court with their respective teams.

As usual, Natalie was talking mad trash about being the baddest bitch around. She and Amber engaged in some slore dialogue about each other's private parts. Both indicating that the other was the bigger tramp.

French was out in L.A. for a Waka Flocka video shoot. People try to hate, but that boy Waka is caking up right now.

Montana said his new mixtape 'Mac and Cheese 3' is coming out in 3 weeks.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Metro Transit Police say 19-year-old William Jackson, of Washington, D.C., wearing a bus operator's uniform, walked into the bus storage area on Bladensburg Road, and drove away with bus number 9318.

Investigators believe the youth began running the B-2 route toward Anacostia, and stopped for passengers. The accused thief is apparently cooperating with investigators. "According to Mr. Jackson, all eight passengers that he picked up did pay their fare," Transit Police Captain Ronald Pavlik explained to reporters. "He simply had a fascination with buses."

The bus Jackson was driving hit some large tree limbs at the corner of 17th and Massachusetts Ave., SE. The bus kept going after the violent encounter with the tree, and that caused some witnesses to call 911. Jackson parked the bus a few blocks away, near the Potomac Avenue Metro station, and walked away. He was apprehended about a block away, wearing a bus operator's uniform and a high visibility safety vest, which are now standard issue for bus drivers.

It is unclear where the teen got the uniform. Police are also investigating how he managed to get into the bus yard where security officers are supposed to require everyone to produce a Metro ID badge.

No one was apparently injured in the adventure, although the passengers on the bus had left by the time Transit Police found the vehicle.

Jackson is charged with fleeing the scene of an accident and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

There are two gates at the Bladensburg Road bus yard. For about 15 minutes Saturday, one day after the bus theft, the side entrance was left unattended for at least 15 minutes. A Fox Five reporter walked unchallenged into the entrance.

Metro Transit Police Captain Pavlik says that's "embarrassing" and will become part of the investigation of security at bus storage facilities.
