Brooklyn, New York emcee Joell Ortiz and his partner in rhyme, the one and only KXNG Crooked of Long Beach, California tell "The Tale of 2 Cities" with their new single and accompanying music video.
Royce Da 5'9's younger brother Kid Vishis airs out his beef with Talib Kweli. The origin of which he explains below.
"#ForTheRecord I don’t personally know @talibkweli never been a fan, never been a follower.. Never really existed in my world. Appreciate anything he’s done in Hiphop but never been my style or preference. He called somebody who I follow on IG and someone who used to work for Heaven studio as an engineer a “Nazi” for disagreeing with him on some corny Shxt I’m NOT involved in about Climate Control. In response the guy called Kweli a “boy” which Mos Def doesn’t Fly 2023 a white guy calling a black man “boy”.. That person was made to apologize privately And publicly for it. Kweli didn’t accept the public or private apology which is his business and I have Nothing to do with this situation other than my studio affiliation with the engineer. However, @talibkweli began @ing my name and other people who I actually considered my friends names in posts non stop.. I received about 30 mentions from this stranger before I actually responded. In response I respectfully said we can have a dialogue about it no problem but your @ing my name into something I’m not involved in fam. @talibkweli response was More Disrespect, calling me a Nazi lover, Bootlicker, etc. My response l, “yeah ok man” and I didn’t say anything again til I seen he continued to slander my name and now is bringing Aliengang into it which is a community of super talented artists and supporters. I Still Didn’t Respond. He tried to @ people from Detroit and bash me but that didn’t work out in his favor. I stayed quiet. He then days later after another 30 mentions of my name i seen a post where he said, “why do I think Kid Vishis is so quiet? Cuz he Knows His Place”.. At this point it’s like a guy who I would slap to the floor in Real Life is trying to “Bully” me online lol! Nah bro. We not doin that. I told him if he @ me again disrespectfully, I’m gonna return All The Energy he has been giving me and give him the full show he’s asking for. @talibkweli response, “Nobody cares about your show Nazi Lover” So that when I started to return the disrespect. He also said I’m a trash rapper and he want AllTheSmoke Now we gotta see about that. Has nothing to do with the white guy that said “boy”

Video After The Jump
Joell Ortiz and KXNG Crooked, together known as Crook & Joell, show fans why they are considered lyrical giants with the release of their latest music video titled "HEATWAVE."
"Harbor City Season One" available on all streaming platforms:
It's looking like Royce Da 5', KXNG Crooked, Joe Budden and Joel Ortiz, together known as Slaughterhouse, have shut it down as a group with Ortiz and Crooked going in a different direction with a new album titled "The Rise And Fall of Slaughterhouse."
Flint, Michigan emcee and Slaughterhouse fan, REIN, pens an open letter to the group via his "Offshore (Freestyle)," expressing his dismay that the group has broken up and urging the group to sit down and work things out.
Things just got a little more interesting in the battle between Royce Da 5'9 vs Lupe Fiasco and Mickey Factz and Royce's younger brother, Kid Vishis, has jumped into the lyrical fray with a new diss song ainmed at Mickey and Lupe titled "2 Snaps in a Circle."
A response to Royce Da 5'9" after a month long dialogue between lyricists on whose the best. Mickey, after being antagonized by Royce himself and Joe Budden, decided to fire back at Royce's audio response and IG Live. Over production from AWSME J, Mickey cleverly weaves in and out of styles to proverbially, "check boxes".
"Greed" is the second single off Ransom's upcoming concept album "Se7en." Following up his cinema inspired "Directors Cut" series, this project is based on David Fincher's 1995 film of the same name. "Greed" is produced by Lord Sear and features rap god Royce Da 5'9".
"GoodTime" featuring Che Noir and Stove God Cooks is my favorite song off of Ransom's "Crime Scenes" EP. The cinematic production from Nicholas Craven provides the perfect canvas for the three emcees to paint a vivid verbal portrait.
The song doesn't have an official visual, but fortunately On Q Visuals comes through with a dope lyric video for it.
