Video After The Jump

"The fourth quarter is here and to be frank this is PIFF favorite quarter." After a successful drop of “SATIVA” the Bull City emcee is back with the trilogy “INDICA.” PiFF (aka Pennywise JR) gives an inside view of his forthcoming EP INDICA (to drop digitally on all DSP November 7th). Vinyl and CDs to follow!

The emcee reveals this drop is part two of a three-part musical series. This initial six-song offering is also fully produced by Brazil's own F-Plus Beats (who PiFF calls "one of the most talented beat-smiths I know"). Much like the variety of cannabis flavors that inspired it, there is a multitude of vibes and lyrical attacks within. PiFF has two features on this EP offering. Unlike SATIVA, INDICA has a different vibe. PiFF single “On One” showcases his ability to pull in the fans with a catchy hook and sharp bars. PiFF does it again on the song “Indica” using his verbal ability and introducing different strains of the flower to give us a full picture and storyline. What a wonderful song indeed!

Though his emcee name and album imagery exemplify the king of clown horror, PiFF himself is a three-dimensional lyricist with quite a discography to his name. (Google: PiFF Pennywise JR) Some of his most recent drops include Sativa which is the first part to the current EP series’. Sativa has songs that ranges from the funky melodicism of the opening track "Weed Sticky" which he uses his sense of humor on the EP's title track (which references PiFF's favorite strains of Grapefruit Durban, Bubblegum Kush to a variety of other flavors). There's also an introspective ode to a fallen soldier "I'm Not Okay" all with a cohesive boom bap feel throughout. PIFF Invasion Volume 1 mixtape, where he gets busy over beats from some of his favorite producers, such as the Alchemist. The 2.5 installment of his War Lord series, (this one also fully produced by F-Plus Beats).

Emcee “PiFF Penny” and beat-smith “Adwerdz” come together to celebrate 2 years since the release of a street classic “Hoodie Season”. Top tier lyrics: PiFF chose three of the dopiest beats to date. Adwerdz beat patterns and sampling is on time! You can tell he is a pioneer at production. Get ready for their forthcoming short EP Hoodie Season -Anniversary Edition (to drop digitally on October 31st, 2022). Vinyl to follow.

“PiFF” favorite time of the year. The emcee spooky EP cover sets the tone of what we should expect.

Growth is showed clearly with “Adwerdz” logo playing the background. Very creative and clever! “PiFF” opens up the “Anniversary Edition” with a horror boom-bap banger “Late Night”. The emcee delivery grabs you. The deep piano in the track gives you Halloween vibes. Looking at the fan’s comments and reviews of the original track “Last Shot” from the original EP, well “PiFF” has a part 2 and It’s a masterpiece. “Adwerdz” sampling on this track is flawless. What a way to honor the original release.

Though his emcee name and album imagery exemplify the king of clown horror, PiFF himself is a three-dimensional lyricist with quite a discography to his name. Some of his most recent drops to date “Sativa” EP, (8/2022) produced by the talented F-Plus Beatz. PiFF also dropped a mixtape (3/2022) called “PiFF Invasion

Although Chadwick Boseman knew for years he had terminal cancer, we now know he died without writing a will, but he made a key move months before his death to financially protect his wife.

The "Black Panther" star's widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, has filed probate docs, obtained by TMZ, in which she asks to be named administrator of Chadwick's estate. Taylor has to file the docs in probate court because he did not leave a will.

That seems odd considering Chadwick was diagnosed with colon cancer 4 years ago, and knew it was terminal. However, that also puts his marriage to Taylor, who he reportedly dated since 2015, in a new light ... and here's why.

They got engaged in late 2019, and reportedly tied the knot at some point in 2020. That's important because when a person dies without a will and without children, their surviving spouse inherits all the assets of the probate estate.

According to the docs, Taylor gets nearly $1 million in personal property and assets, but that's not a true reflection of Chadwick's wealth and success. Most likely the majority of his assets are held in separate private trusts.

In the docs, Taylor notes Chadwick is also survived by his 2 parents.

As you know, he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and it progressed to stage IV as he silently battled through it. Chadwick died in his home surrounded by his wife and family.

(CNN) Vanessa Bryant, wife of the late Kobe Bryant, is urging Congress to pass a new helicopter safety bill named for her husband and daughter who were killed in a crash earlier this year.

"I strongly urge that the United States Congress pass a federal law that would improve the safety of helicopters operating in this country," she said in statement. "I believe there is a chance that Kobe and Gianna would still be alive today if their helicopter had been equipped with the safety equipment required by this pending federal legislation."

Her comments come after Democratic lawmakers on Thursday introduced the "Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant Helicopter Safety Act." The legislation would require all helicopters certified to carry six or more people to be equipped with a Terrain Awareness and Warning System, a flight data recorder and a cockpit voice recorder.

"I believe that these safety measures will save many lives," Bryant said of the bill.

"As passengers traveling on aircrafts we assume that proper safety measures are in order to prevent accidents from happening before we fly. It's unfortunate that this is not the case and aircraft companies must do their part to protect lives."

Similar legislation had been introduced by Rep. Brad Sherman of California in January following the crash that killed Kobe, Gianna and six others. Sherman, however, told CNN that the bill introduced Thursday was updated after the Bryant family contacted the relevant lawmakers to say they supported the effort.

Bryant said she was "deeply moved" when she learned of the legislation would be named for her husband and daughter.

"Having Kobe's and Gianna's names associated with this federal law that has the potential to save countless lives would be a fitting tribute to their memory," she said.

Bryant also proposed that the helicopter industry "consider renaming the black box to Mamba 8 Box in honor of the 3 young Mamba team players, the 2 Mamba coaches and the 3 Mamba parents onboard, equaling 8."

The group had been heading to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California, for a youth basketball game when their helicopter crashed.

In February, Bryant filed a lawsuit against Island Express Helicopters, alleging in part that the pilot failed to safely operate the aircraft. The suit was filed the same day Kobe Bryant's memorial was held at the Staples Center.

At the time of the filing, CNN reviewed FAA records and found that Island Express was only certified for using visual flight rules (VFR) but that the conditions the day of the crash should have required instrument flight rules (IFR), something this helicopter was not licensed or certified for, according to the suit.

Vanessa and Kobe Bryant were married in 2001 and were just a few months away from their 19th wedding anniversary. Vanessa Bryant has been candid on social media about missing her late husband and their daughter. Along with Gianna, they had three other daughters: Natalia, Bianka and Capri. Gianna would have turned 14 on May 1.

At Kobe Bryant's memorial, Vanessa Bryant said, "I couldn't see him as a celebrity nor just an incredible basketball player. He was my sweet husband and the beautiful father of my children. He was mine. He was my everything."

The lovely and very talented Olivia Munn paid a visit to The Late Show With David Letterman recently.

The 30-year old Oklahoma native talked about living in Japan as a kid, then moving back and feeling like a social outcast and how her parents divorce affected her.

She just landed a role on the NBC show "Perfect Couples" which premiers January 20. She said she will still occasionally stop by The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

At the end of the interview Olivia tried to sing "Crossroads" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, but that didn't turn out too well because Paul Shaffer and the band had no clue what the hell the song was.  She needs to visit the Jimmy Fallon show next so The Roots band can hook that up properly.

Frank Mir got the job on Saturday for the Ultimate Fighting Championship's debut in Indianapolis, but that's about the only positive for him. On a card that produced seven decisions, Mir narrowly avoided being part of the eighth by landing a right knee to floor Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and record a knockout with 58 seconds left in their main-event bout at UFC 119. The result came after two-and-a-half sluggish rounds. AS IT HAPPENED: UFC 119 play-by-play Both men appeared tentative for much of the contest. Filipovic followed his customary habit of circling and waiting for openings to throw punches and kicks from the left, while Mir generally threw punches just long enough to close the distance for takedown attempts. Referee Herb Dean separated them and restarted the action each round after extended clinchwork standing against the cage. The Indianapolis crowd booed heavily at several points as Mir and Filipovic eyed each other warily or wrestled while standing against the cage. The end came when Filipovic charged forward in the waning minute to throw a punch combination. Mir grabbed the back of Filipovic's neck for a sloppy Muay Thai clinch, pulled his head down and slammed home the knee. Filipovic fell to the mat stunned and Mir landed two more punches on his unresisting foe before Dean could jump in to halt the bout. Mir criticized his own performance heavily after the fight. "I could have pushed the pace a little bit," he said. "I'm not happy at all." The former champion admitted that he was wary of Filipovic's dangerous left hand and left kick. Mir also found flaws in his own wrestling technique; Filipovic, who is well-known for his takedown defense, shut down all of Mir's attempts to bring the fight to the mat. Filipovic, taking the bout on just five weeks' notice as a replacement for the injured Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, saw his winning streak snapped at two. Mir rebounded from a loss in March. Other results Saturday: • Ryan Bader preserved his perfect record with a unanimous 30-27 decision over fellow light-heavyweight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the co-main event. Bader (12-0) occasionally swung away with powerful overhand right when they were standing, but he largely focused on outwrestling Nogueira (19-4). The winner took down his opponent six times in 12 attempts, according to Compustrike. Bader made no apologies for his strategy. "I just had to be careful," he said. "I had a lot on the line in this fight." The win could vault Bader into the top 10 for light heavyweights. Nogueira and Bader are Nos. 6 and 16 in the USA TODAY/SB Nation consensus rankings for light-heavyweights. • Sean Sherk (33-4-1) put the first blemish on Evan Dunham's professional record with a split decision that drew vocal criticism. Sherk controlled the pace of the first two rounds with takedowns and significant stretches of top control on the mat. Dunham (11-1) threatened with guillotine chokes multiple times, though, and clearly outstruck Sherk on the feet throughout the fight. Two judges scored the fight 29-28 for Sherk. One saw it by an identical score for Dunham. The crowd heavily booed the decision as it was announced. Sherk, a UFC ex-champion, regained his relevance by beating Dunham, the consensus No. 10 lightweight. It was the first fight for the oft-injured Sherk since May 2009 and his first win in almost two years . • Chris "Lights Out" Lytle (30-17-5) avenged his 2006 loss to former champion Matt "The Terror" Serra (11-7) by winning a unanimous 30-27 decision. It was the polar opposite from the tedium of their first fight, as the welterweights came in determined to slug away this time. Lytle, an experienced professional boxer, connected often with hooks and uppercuts as the shorter Serra tried to attack the body. Lytle praised Serra, a highly decorated jiu-jitsu practitioner and, for brawling with him rather than turning the fight into a grappling contest. "I can't give the guy enough credit for that," Lytle said. "That was awesome to me. He gave me the fight I wanted." The result was the fourth consecutive win for Lytle, the consensus No. 23 welterweight. Serra currently has the No. 13 ranking. • Melvin Guillard won his third bout in a row with a decision over Jeremy Stephens. Guillard (26-8-2, 1 no contest) spent three rounds constantly moving in to deliver one or two punches before slipping away while the slower Stephens (17-6) missed with counterstrikes. Guillard expressed dissatisfaction with his inability to knock out Stephens. "I respected his right hand a lot," Guillard said. " I didn't want to get clipped. .... I'm happy with the win but I'm not as happy with the performance, how it ended up, because I'm an exciting fighter."
