Over the weekend Ray J showed he could care less what anybody thinks about his music, especially former girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend Kanye West, when he released the song "I Hit It First."
Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg and Ebro think he violated because Kim is pregnant.
Ray called the station to defend himself.
"It's a song. It's not about that, it's a concept. People going way too deep," Ray said. "They just gotta keep it on the surface. I'm not trying to create no war. It's all love."
Check out Ray's conversation with Ebro and Peter then let us know what you think.
Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion recently stated that the hip hop community would not support an openly gay rapper because the culture is all about masculinity. In Snoop's opinion Frank Ocean was accepted because he's a singer.
"Frank Ocean ain't no rapper. He's a singer. It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine," the rapper told The Guardian. "It's like a football team. You can't be in a locker room full of motherf*cking tough-a$$ dudes, then all of a sudden say, 'Hey, man, I like you.' You know, that's going to be tough."
This morning Hot 97's Ebro said that fans are already supporting gay rappers, they just don't know it.
"We're probably supporting a gay rapper right now," Ebro said. "Based on the number of gay Americans there are that we know about, odds are are that one of these rappers is probably gay."
What do you think about Ebro's comments? Is Snoop right? Would the hip hop community turn their backs on a gay rapper?
Beyonce told b*tches to "Bow Down" on her new single, but Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg thinks she has lost her spot to Rihanna.
"Beyonce fans don't get mad, just admit it. Rihanna is when you're trying to party and be free. Beyonce is like when you're filling a bottle with breast milk or cooking dinner for your family," Peter said this morning on "The Realness."
Peter wasn't done there. He had more to say about Beyonce becoming old news and even throws a jab at Kelly Rowland.
Beyoncereleased a new single yesterday titled "Bow Down/I Been On." In it the singer curses, using the words "b*tches" and "sh*t," which caused a stir among some of her fans.
Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg tells B's stans to calm down.
"There's so many women stans out there. Grown women who run around the second Beyonce does anything and start quoting, and hash tagging and acting like you're her," Peter said. "Chick you ain't Beyonce. You're just some chick who has a hero, even though you're older than she is. Beyonce curses and it was a plan. Everything about Beyonce, God bless her, is contrived, made up and overexposed. The plan was for Beyonce to curse and what are we doing? Talking about Beyonce cursing."
Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg kicked "The Realness" on the Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" remix featuring Jay-Z. Rosenberg believes Jay sees Kendrick as a young lion capable of taking the throne as hip hop's best emcee.
So the question is, who killed it on the remix? Take our poll below and sound off in the comment section.
Lil Wayne's condition has been upgraded. Doctors determined his condition had stabilized and have now moved him to a regular room at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles
TMZ reports that Weezy is now walking around on his own flanked by bodyguards and eating on his own. His release could be coming soon.
Birdman called into Hot 97 earlier and talked to Angie Martinez and Wayne's current condition and what may have caused him to become ill.
Baby said Wayne has been in the hospital since last Tuesday. He added that the Young Money CEO only had one seizure and that stories to the contrary were false.
At this point doctors don't know what is causing Wayne to have these seizures that began last October, but he suspects they could be from the rapper overworking himself.
"Honestly, to me it's his work ethic. How he put in, and what he believe in, and how hard he works. How much dedication he gives to music, and his fans, and what he's trying to accomplish in life. It had nothing to do with drugs," Birdman told Angie. "It's how he works. He works around the clock. He's just a hard grinder for this music, but it wasn't nothing about no drugs. He needs to get some rest, relax and take it one day at a time. He'll be back just as normal as anybody else. He just needs to relax for a minute."
**UPDATE** March 19th
Lil Wayne has been released from L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital almost a week after suffering a seizure according to TMZ.
Doctors determined the rapper had recovered enough to be sent home and last night signed off on his release.
Wayne will continue to rest until he's back up to full speed. We wish him the best and hope he remains in good health.
Today Hot 97's very opinionated on air personality Peter Rosenberg decided to kick "The Realness" about R&B superstar Chris Brown.
Brown was in the news yesterday after going off on a valet in Studio City and for grabbing the mic at Emerson Theatre in Hollywood and yelling "f*ck Drake" after the DJ started spinning Drizzy's "Started From the Bottom."
Peter said Brown is consistent at being a "douche" and is an "amazing jerk off." Check out

Lil Wayne has reached rock star status in the music world. Whatever he does onstage or off makes headlines. But has the New Orleans rapper let success go to his head?
Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 thinks so. Today Peter said the syrup sipping, pills and yes men have turned the Young Money boss into an embarrassment.
Rosenberg also cited Weezy's recent offensive lyrics about Emmett Till, picking up skateboarding at his age and his comments about banging Chris Bosh's wife as further proof the rapper is making all the wrong moves lately.
Trinidad James was the headliner at Hot 97's "Who's Next Live" showcase earlier this week at SOB's in NYC earlier this week.
The Def Jam artist performed "All Gold Everything," "That Turn Up," "$outh$side," "One More Molly," "Team Vacation," "Given' No F*cks" and "Females Welcome."
It's been one year since the untimely passing of rap legend Heavy D. The Jamaican born, Mount Vernon, New York raised emcee was 44-years old at the time of his death.
Heavy made his mark as the leader of the group Heavy D & The Boyz as well as his solo work. He earned platinum plaques for the albums Big Tyme (1989), Peaceful Journey (1991) and Nuttin' but Love (1994). He received a gold plaque for 1993's Blue Funk. Heavy also recorded the theme song to In Living Color.
In 1996 he was appointed President of Uptown Records. He is credited with hiring Diddy as an intern and helping to guide the early career of Mary J. Blige.
Heavy, real name Dwight Myers, also appeared in films and several televison programs including Who's the Man, Step Up, Tower Heist. The Tracy Morgan Show, Are We There Yet?, Boston Public and more.
Hot 97's DJ Mister Cee remembers Heavy with a special mix of his songs.
As we all know by now, 50 Cent and Fat Joe put their long running beef to bed during the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta last weekend. The two have been receiving universal praise for being big enough men to look past their differences while honoring Chris Lighty.
Peter Rosenberg spoke on the situation this morning and gave the two men well deserved props.
"Time to give some props to Fat Joe and 50 Cent. You gotta respect it man," Rosenberg said on Hot 97's show The Realness. "They put their differences aside. It may have taken way too long, but at least they finally settled it. Two guys who are doing very well in life and really have nothing to fight about anymore. They buried the hatchet for their friend Chris Lighty and I couldn't be happier about it."
Would you like to see 50 and Joe collaborate on a song together?
Nicki Minaj has made it perfectly clear that she is going in more of a pop direction with her career with some of her recent releases. It doesn't seem to be hurting her fanbase, which continues to grow. Fans of her pre-Young Money work probably haven't been thrilled, but the Harajuku Barbie most likely isn't targeting them anyway.
On Valentine's Day, Nicki released her latest single "Starships." The RedOne produced song is intended to be a crossover hit for her upcoming album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
“There was so much love surrounding the making of the song, because RedOne is just so sweet to work with,"she told Ryan Seacrest when the song premiered. "He just sent me that one day and he said, ‘Hey, I got something for you!’ I was like ‘You got to be kidding me, right?’ I went to the studio and started writing…scratch that…I didn’t even write the first verse! That was just me mumbling and just saying the first thing that came to my head, and we recorded it, because I just felt…like let’s go to the beach…let’s go get away…It was just so good. It feels good!”
Not everyone is feeling good about the song though. New York's outspoken on air personality Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 thinks the Young Money starlet went too pop and he let his listeners know.
"I'm not saying Nicki's not a rapper or she can't rap, because the opposite is true," he said. "By nature she is an incredibly talented rapper. But I am a hip-hop head and to be frank this song right here 'Starships' is literally one of the most sellout songs in hip-hop history."
Add another title to Officer Ross' list. Besides being a Correctional Officer and name jacker he's also a stalker.
Peep him watching Lloyd Banks like some kind of lovesick Stan while he poses with Wacka Flocka Flame at Hot 97's Summer Jam. Looks like he's about a second away from asking for an autograph.
