Report via Houston Chronicle -- Tevin Biles-Thomas, the brother of Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, has reportedly been arrested in connection with a triple-murder case in Cleveland.
Multiple media outlets report Biles-Thomas faces charges of murder, voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault and perjury.
The charges stem from a New Year's Eve shooting that left three dead and two others injured. Officials say the shooting happened at an Airbnb after a group of men arrived at a party uninvited and were asked to leave. A fight reportedly broke out and was followed by gunfire that killed the three men.
“The relentless persistence of Cleveland police homicide detectives helped secure an indictment in this case,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley said in a statement. “It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims.”
Biles-Thomas, who is on active duty with the U.S. Army, was arrested in Georgia and is expected to appear for an arraignment on Sept. 13 in Ohio.

I have been involved in writing lyrics, for myself and for other aspiring artists in the Tampa Bay area since about 1995, and also I have been producing original music for my own projects since 2000. I love listening to Hip-Hop and R&B, and I consider myself to be a student of the game. I was influenced by such artists as the Roots, Outkast, 2pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, Jay-Z, Nas, Redman, Wu-Tang, Snoop, Too Short, Twista, Eight-Ball & MJG, UGK, T.I., TrickDaddy, J.T. Money, Bone Thugs, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, KRS-1, Rakim, L.L. Cool J., Gang Starr, and Naughty By Nature. Not only do I listen to lyrics, but I listen to the production styles of some of the greats such as the Neptunes, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, TrackMasters, Jermaine Dupri, Mannie Fresh, and others. I'm constantly trying to learn as much about the music industry as I can. I've recorded quite a few songs and I am currently working on an album.
I am also involved in the mixtape scene in Tampa Bay, with my own collection of mixtapes increasing in popularity within the local community and online. I am also featured with other up and coming artists throughout the Bay that are gaining recognition locally. I'm all about growth and unity of the hip-hop scene in the Tampa Bay area, which is a hotbed of talent just waiting for someone to spark the fuse. Over the last five years I have found a way to fuse my love of hip-hop, with my love of sports, especially my favorite sports team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This has allowed me to tap into a unique fan base of loyal supporters of the team. This shift in focus has provided me with numerous opportunities to gain more exposure than ever before.
What can I bring to the game?
Originality. I don't consider myself to be carbon copy of anyone. As I said in the bio, I was influenced by various artists from all over, with many unique and diverse styles, and the end result is a hip-hop melting pot. My flow and delivery are unorthodox, which leads to an unpredictability factor, meaning you never know what you're going to get on each track. This is what keeps the fans wanting more, and the fact that my flow is versatile means that I can work with varying artists and production styles.
Authenticity. I believe that the strength of an artist lies in the ability to take the ordinary things around you and create something extraordinary. Just as a painter can paint a beautiful portrait of the simplest thing, I as an artist strive to put into words the situations that we as people face everyday, thus making my music something that people from all walks of life can relate to.

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Virginia (ABC 11) -- The family of a minor league baseball player in the Tampa Bay Rays organization was killed, allegedly by an 18-year-old relative who was caught on camera naked attacking someone else.
Matthew Bernard is charged with three counts of murder. Sources told ESPN the victims are the mother-in-law, wife and child of pitcher Blake Bivens, who plays for the Montgomery Biscuits in Alabama.
Bivens' wife is Bernard's sister.
Police haven't said how they were killed or given a motive.
Bernard didn't make it easy for police to arrest him. New video shows him chasing after an officer, who was armed with a gun. The officer eventually sprays mace in Bernard's direction.
Bernard then runs toward a news photographer, who, like the officer, quickly runs off. He's later seen attacking and choking a church caretaker in a parking lot. Before that, the same officer intervenes using his stick.
Bernard then runs down the road where he is confronted by other officers and a K-9.
He was eventually taken into custody.
In the wake of the shootings, the team cancelled its doubleheaders Tuesday night and released a statement, saying in part, "First and foremost, the Biscuits thoughts and prayers are with Blake and all those who have been impacted by this tragedy."
Bivens' son turned a year old in June.
According to ESPN, Bivens was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the fourth round of the 2014 draft after he attended high school in Virginia.
