HipHopWired Reports Although people have continued to place their doubt on the rapper that made everyone “Crank Dat,” Soulja Boy continues to remain relevant in Hip-Hop. Already two albums in, he has begun preparation for his third album, "The DeAndre Way". Soulja must be aiming for the fences this time around as he has voiced that he is looking to have heavy hitters such as Eminem and Jay-Z for his third official release. Lucky enough for the rapper, Eminem happens to be on the same label with him, along with 50 Cent, so it could be possible although that is farfetched. Concrete features have already begun to surface as the project will see Lil Wayne in attendance as well as Kanye West and Snoop Dogg. Snoop recently was alongside the rapper where he basically apologized to the young up-and-comer for initially hating on his art. He added that people like him were unable to realize that at the end of the day, Soulja Boy is just trying to create his own lane and make it in the game. Being a producer as well as a rapper, Soulja Boy has stated that he has partnered up with West for production on the upcoming release. In an interview with Radio Planet TV, the artist elaborates on his joint venture with West. “I really haven't produced since my second album, but I'm looking forward to doing a 50/50 split beat with Kanye West. I think that'll be hot because he's a great lyricist, but an awesome producer as well. I feel like I'm an awesome producer too, and both of us in the studio together at the same time can come out with a smash." Since emerging in 2007, the young rapper/entertainer has been a victim of constant criticism whether it's from fans or artists feeling that he was killing the genre and calling him a one-hit wonder. It is now 2009 and the 19-year-old is still standing and continuing to remain dominant in the realm of music. He may not be the best rapper out, but he has definitely created his own lane which has been effective to the point where rappers are trying to ride right behind him. Whether you respect it or reject it, everyone must accept his presence.

Ballerstatus Reports Since dropping his latest album Relapse, Eminem has been dealing with some things. Not only has he been doing the back-n-forth thing with Mariah Carey and her hubby Nick Cannon, but now, he's getting it from his ex-wife Kim Mathers. Although they've been divorced for three years, Kim and Em still can't get along ... it seems. In a recent radio interview with with Detroit's WKQI, she had a few things to say about Slim Shady, reports The Sun. They weren't very nice. According to Kim, their relationship is so bad, she can't stand to be around him. So much so, she vomits at the very sight of him. "I can't stand him. He's an absolutely horrible person and he gets worse every day," Kim said on-air. "I vomit in my mouth whenever I'm around him or I hear his name. "There's nothing left in me for him. Nothing at all," she continued. Kim didn't stop at just expressing her hatred towards Em. She also took a few low blows as well, warning his potential lovers about the size of his package. "He's not very well endowed," Kim said. "If you're going to have sex with Marshall, make sure you have a little blue pill, because otherwise it does not work." Wow ... is all we can say. Aside from the Eminem bashing, it's unclear why Kim decided to do the radio interview.

HipHopWired Reports “You want me to personally point out some wack niggas?” Jaz-O was featured on Street Disciplez Radio where he was given the opportunity to speak on the status of Hip-Hop and take aim at certain artists that may be deemed as being hot and believe to a certain degree that they are in fact, but are far from it in actuality. “One thing I have to say is a lot of these, and what makes them wack, is the first thing. There's certain lines that you don't cross.” The first rapper on the chopping block would be none other than the new mixtape king Lil Wayne. In regards to his lyrics, rumors have been aired out for years that artists such as Gillie the Kid were responsible for young Carter's rise to fame. Recently there has been speculation that Drake has been writing for Weezy. “Lil Wayne has a gang of writers…Everybody likes him. I would like him too if I listened to mainstream radio all the time because that's all that they play. The people that you talk to and say that he's not wack don't even realize that they've been hypnotized into liking him because when they weren't playing him a lot and had the same backing and money behind, they weren't liking him. They were saying he was garbage. Honestly, I think that he put out better material when they said that he was wack.” Ludacris is another that was put in front of the firing squad, but there were no harsh words for anything that the Southern rapper has said. He did, however, make reference to him allowing Jay to lay a verse for the track “I Do It For Hip Hop” off Theater of the Mind where the rapper took a jab at Jaz. “I don't appreciate Luda for even letting somebody do that. I wouldn't let somebody do that on my song because somebody might take it the wrong way and affiliate me with your statements and make it like I'm with what you're saying.” Of course no interview with Jaz would be complete if he didn't throw the required shot at Jay-Z. “Jay-Z fell off the cliff. I don't know what happened to him” It almost feels as though Jay-Z continues to bring Jaz into relevance as he continues to throw him jabs. With another jab on the intro to The Blueprint III, one can only imagine how much more publicity his former friend will get now. Recently he linked up with The Game in order to create the track “Gangta's Ride” where they unleash a lyrical assault on Hov.

MTV Reports Jay-Z performed in Chicago on Tuesday night to promote his new album, The Blueprint 3, and delved into a new freestyle praising native son Kanye West while also firing off a lyrical salvo at friend-turned-foe R. Kelly. Jay then reminded fans of his ties to Chi greats like President Obama and talk-show host Oprah Winfrey before comparing himself to Bulls legend Michael Jordan. "The blueprint that 'Ye followed/ Too hard a pill for R. Kelly to swallow," Jay rapped. "But I helped your other man/ Now the whole world gotta listen to Chicago/ Obama, O. Winfrey, ask them about me/ They'll tell you the boy's windy/ That boy Hov so cold/ That when you come to my shows, it's like it just snowed 10 feet/ I got my hat broke off/ I report to the ghetto, I'm the black Brokaw/ No, I'm the rap 2-3/ So any championships must go through me." Last month, Jay-Z brought Winfrey to Brooklyn, where the media mogul interviewed the rapper for her magazine and talk show. A few days after their discussion, Winfrey doted over Jay-Z on her friend Gayle King's radio show. She remarked how good the rapper smelled and called Jay her new best friend. In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday (September 9), it was Jay-Z who was full of praise as he talked up West. The producer manned the boards for the majority of The Blueprint 3, including the first two singles: "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," which he co-produced with No ID, and "Run This Town," featuring West and Rihanna. Eight years ago, with the original Blueprint album, West was only a rising producer until he landed the lead track on that project, "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)." Jay-Z said he's taken notice as West has evolved from upstart to superproducer. The outspoken younger artist was more of a quite protégé during the recording of 2001's The Blueprint. Now, however, Jay said being in the studio with West is more of a collaborative effort, particularly on this latest project. "The most interesting thing in the studio was Kanye, because of Kanye's growth," he explained. "You got to figure on the first Blueprint, he was a new producer, so he was just putting in the beats and moving out the way. On this one, he had an opinion about how the songs should sound, and it was just great energy that we had in the studio."

RAP-UP REPORTS Jay-Z isn’t the only one who’s not a fan of Auto-Tune. Actress Kate Beckinsale joked about the vocal-enhancing technique during her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” on Tuesday. “I can’t understand why all the music sounds like someone’s singing into a saucepan all the time,” she told O’Brien. “T-Pain is singing into a saucepan and Kanye West is always in a pan.” Beckinsale said Auto-Tune gives anyone the ability to sing. “If you don’t sing, you can sound like Nixon. A pan works for everything.”

WeeklyWorldNews Reports SALUDA, TX – A man had his burial wishes fulfilled, after being buried in his beloved 1973 Catalina with all of his guns! Lonnie Holloway passed away last Thursday, after a fruitful 90 years of life. His family acquiesced to his burial wishes, and he was buried in his car at the Rock Hill Baptist Church. “This is what Mr. Holloway wanted,” said the pastor. His cousin, Leila Dunn, said she wasn’t surprised by his strange requests, as he was a “stylin’ and profilin’ kind of guy.” “This was a day everyone should remember,” said Dunn. “It went down in history.” More surprisingly, all of his guns were placed in the trunk of the car. Family members said he didn’t want them to get into the wrong hands, so he decided they’d go with him as well! Rodney Minick, a wrecker owner, was contacted a year earlier, to find out if he would be open to helping with the funeral when the time came. The machine was used to lower the car into the massive grave.

CNN Reports Asa Hill was 7 years old when he died. Although the boy was pulled out of a burning car alive in a horrific accident on the Niagara Thruway on Thursday, his injuries proved critical, and he passed away the following night. Amilcar Hill and Rahwa Ghirmatzion hug at their son's funeral, which ended with their wedding. The Buffalo, New York, community, shaken, turned out in large numbers at his funeral Monday to support his parents, Amilcar Hill and Rahwa Ghirmatzion, and were pleasantly surprised when the couple ended the service with a wedding ceremony, a fulfillment of their son's wish. The Rev. Joel Miller of The Unitarian Universalist Church of Elmwood, where the service was held, was unsure at first when the idea of a wedding was proposed by the couple and their family. "I asked twice, 'We're doing a wedding?' This was new for me. I never did a funeral service and a wedding ceremony at the same time, and normally wouldn't, but they have known each other since they were teens," Miller said. "And they had been providing for Asa, and they made a home together for all of Asa's life. ... It was clear they were following through on something they had been talking about for some time." Hill and Ghirmatzion have been best friends since they were 15 and have been together for almost half of their lives. After Asa was born, marriage had always been something that they considered but, according to Hill, both felt that a wedding was "superficial and not necessary." Asa, however, was insistent that they make their union official. "Asa really wanted us to do it, and every time he would ask us we would say, 'Yes, we'll get married,' " said Hill. But the couple never did get around to figuring out the logistics for a ceremony. While holding his lifeless son in his arms at the hospital, Hill was moved to finally officially propose to his lifelong partner. "Rahwa was overwhelmed at that moment and just looked at me. When the family sat down to plan the funeral service, she said 'Let's get married.' And everyone broke down at the table," he said. The marriage took place after a service filled with African drums, dancing, sermons and family and friends sharing memories of Asa, all in celebration of his life. Miller said about 1,100 people attended the service, with hundreds overflowing onto the church lawn, where sound systems were set up so they could hear the service. When the wedding was announced, there were shocked cheers and applause from those in the church pews. "We wanted it to be a surprise," Hill said. "We knew it would be a joyous moment. You could see how it lifted them, and we figured, why not make it a surprise at the end." The Unitarian Universalist Church was chosen because its non-denominational tradition would welcome all the diverse groups of the Elmwood community, Hill said. The family has strong ties to the community and, according to Miller, who had known Asa since he was 5, Asa embodied this. "He was a powerful presence: direct, smart, and had a way of bringing people together," Miller said. "When you met him, you knew you met someone. We all didn't know each other, but we knew Asa and his family."

The Lying Down Game: players try to outdo each other by lying down in the most original locations Times Online Reports Seven staff from a hospital’s accident and emergency unit have been suspended after taking part in an internet craze known as the “Lying Down Game". Participants have to post photographs of themselves lying face down arms by their sides in unlikely situations. The doctors and nurses who were working an overnight shift on August 14 and August 15 took turns to be photographed on resuscitation trolleys, ward floors and the hospital’s heli-pad. The photographs were put on a Facebook page set up by A&E staff at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire. They were suspended after management were alerted to the prank and now fear they could lose their jobs.

The Lying Down Game described as “parkour for those who can’t be arsed” became an international craze earlier this summer when pictures were published of participants lying on ironing boards, cars, mountain tops and even a life size statue of a grizzly bear. An employee at the Great Western Hospital today described the suspensions as a ”nightmare” for those involved. He said: ”The person who started it is really worried. It reflects badly on the department and some people may lose their jobs. “It was just some nurses and doctors on nights having fun, but photos got onto Facebook and management found out. Someone in the department leaked the group, but no-one knows who. Health and safety and infection control issues have all been broken. “I think it’ll be serious for the one who set up the Facebook group and took the photos and I’m really glad I didn’t get involved.” The stunt involved a total of 18 A&E and Acute Assessment Unit staff. Seven of the group have been suspended on full pay and will now face formal disciplinary hearings. The photographs were posted on Facebook by a group calling itself the Secret Swindon Emergency Department Group. It has since been removed by the website. A spokesman for GWH confirmed that health and safety and infection control regulations had been broken as well as the NHS and Trust code of conduct.

He refused to rule out sackings and said: ”The disciplinary hearings are yet to take place and we cannot predict the outcome.” Dr Alf Troughton, medical director for Great Western Hospital NHS Trust, confirmed the suspensions but said that patient care had not been affected. He said: ”A number of staff were suspended following allegations of unprofessional conduct while on night shift duty in the hospital during a weekend in August. “This did not involve patients and we are satisfied that at no time was patient care compromised. “The Great Western Hospital sets high standards for staff behaviour at all times and therefore takes any such breaches extremely seriously. “It is important to reassure patients and our workforce that this was an isolated incident and staff cover was maintained at all times. “The allegations have been thoroughly investigated and seven members of staff remain suspended pending formal disciplinary hearings.” The Facebook page for the Lying Down Game claims to have more than 54,000 members worldwide. It describes itself as a group for all those who “enjoy the sport of lying down in random public places to confuse people”.

It adds: “The originators of the Lying Down Game cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries or criminal proceedings resulting from participating in the Game.” Simon Newell, a spokesman for the union UNISON represents nearly 250,000 nurses, yesterday urged the Swindon health trust to ”consider past service” before dismissing any of the staff involved. He said: ”We wouldn’t condone unprofessional conduct in any work place environment, although we do acknowledge that staff in hospitals constantly work under a great deal of pressure and scrutiny. “This sort of incident is unfortunate but rare. We are led to believe that a number of codes may have been breached, although we also understand that at no time patients’ safety or healthcare was directly compromised. “That being the case, we would urge the Trust, when deciding upon the future of these highly skilled staff, to consider recent events within the context of the good services these staff have provided in the past.”

MTV Reports NEW YORK — Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon the Chef will be forever lauded, not just because of his lyrical exploits on proper Wu-Tang Clan LPs, but because his solo debut, 1995's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is one of the greatest rap albums ever. But nostalgia can only take you so far; you have to live in the here and now eventually. Over a decade later, Raekwon finds himself a relevant MC again after cooking up that great product once more. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II was released on Tuesday, and some have already certified the album as a classic. With RZA sharing production with J. Dilla, Dr. Dre and others, and the Chef opening up the recording session to Beanie Sigel, the LOX and his Clan, the LP takes off where the last album ended. On Tuesday night, Rae, in conjunction with former Mobb Deep manager turned DVD producer Littles, threw an album-release celebration at Santos Party House that featured the likes of Ice-T, Q-Tip and host Diddy. "Attendance is mandatory," Ice-T said onstage early in the night. "Hip-hop is on life support. Raekwon is gonna try to bring the back to life." Ice then blasted part of the hip-hop hipster movement. "F--- that happy-ass rap they doing," he ranted. "If you do not have power, you should not hold the mic." Marley Marl, Q-Tip, Redman, Erick Sermon and the Brand Nubian also joined the celebration. Craig G got on the mic and spit his verse from "The Symphony." Later, Redman started to perform "Tonight's Da Night." Ghostface officially kicked off the Raekwon show with "Bring Da Ruckus." Ghost then shouted out the new album. "Cuban Linx, n---a. Make some noise for the album. Tell 'em, Puff." Diddy then took the mic. "New York, stand up! Hip-hop, stand up. We all started together. Wu-Tang, Bad Boy, Big," Diddy said. "We're gonna get real buck f---in' wild in here. We're gonna take it back to the tunnel. Are y'all ready for Raekwon the Chef?" Ghost then went into "Fish" and was followed by a snow flurry of big hits by Raekown, Ghost and Cappadonna (who was also onstage). The new Wu-Banger "10 Bricks" was sandwiched in between the classics "Ice Cream" and "Daytona 500." Later came "Camay" and the most popular record of the night, "C.R.E.A.M." Diddy then realized he never properly introduced the man of the hour and put the spotlight on Rae. "Make some noise for a living legend, Raekwon the Chef!" Rae took the opportunity to address the doubters. "They say that n---a's washed up," he said. "Look what happened." The Staten Island general moved onto the new album's Dr. Dre-produced "Catalina," then threw it back to "Incarcerated Scarfaces" and "Heaven and Hell." After the "Wu Oh," Rae compared his battle to sell records against Jay-Z, who also dropped The Blueprint 3 this week, to David vs. Goliath. "Good luck with your album, sir," he openly addressed Young Hov and wished Jay the best of luck from the bottom of his heart. "Flying Daggers" was the last Clan record before Rae gave up the mic to Melle Mel and Grand Puba. "Shout to MTV!" the Chef yelled. Rae's party is the first of many in New York that coincide with MTV's week-long VMA celebration. Check back at MTV News for the latest from all the parties and high-profile concerts going on up until the big show this Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET.

NY Daily News Reports Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z slammed scalpers on Tuesday who snapped up low-priced tickets for his 9/11 charity show at Madison Square Garden and began reselling them for a huge profit. "We are truly disheartened that certain individuals would choose to benefit from what is meant to be a 100% charitable event," he said in a statement. "We do not support any profits made from reselling any ticket that was meant to be purchased by honest fans." Tickets to Friday's show were purposely set low at $54.50 to make it accessible to fans struggling in tough economic times. The proceeds were to benefit the widows and orphans of New York City cops and firefighters who died in the line of duty. The approximately 20,000 tickets sold out in moments on Tuesday and started showing up on resale sites for $200 to $3,000 - inflated profits that will go into the scalpers' pockets. One site was offering tickets for $45,000 each. "I don't think that's what Jay-Z's intentions were," said Maureen Brown, 48, of Harlem, one of several fans. "I couldn't even get seats in the nosebleeds," she said, after spending 2-1/2 hours clicking her way through Ticketmaster's Web site. A presale for Citibank cardholders was supposed to last from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., but Brown said she kept getting a message that said no tickets were available. "I've never had any problems any other time. So who is getting these tickets?" she asked. Kevin Lee, 39, of Harlem, said he was told at 9:01 a.m. there were no tickets available. Five other family members and friends were also trying - and failing - to buy tickets. "I think something fishy was going on," Lee said. "I think the general public was really cut out. I guess you have to have deep pockets to get into this show." John Neary, treasurer of the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund, called the situation "a shame." "But I don't think we can do anything about it," he said. "This happens with an awful lot of shows." Jay-Z said he had taken steps to head off the ticket brokers. "Tickets were consciously made available for sale as close to the concert date as possible to avoid traditional scalping," his statement said. For those who can't be at the show - Jay-Z's only New York concert this year - it will be broadcast live on the Fuse network. Brown, who took off work Friday because she anticipated getting tickets for the show, said she might just go down to Madison Square Garden anyway. "I want to go down there Friday and see who is getting these tickets," she said.

HipHopWired Reports Hurricane Season, the upcoming film starring Lil' Wayne and Bow Wow is now scheduled to hit theatres by the end of the year. The film which has already been shot was heading to DVD after the Weinstein Company, the producers of the film, became financially strapped. However due to box office numbers scored by Inglorious Bastards, $140 million, the Weinstein Company, which also backed that film, got their money right. The film also stars Forrest Whitaker, Isaiah Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Courtney B. Vance and Jackie Long. Following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, the film centers around a New Orleans basketball coach who assembles a disparate team of players from those left behind and those who held out against the flood. In this story based on true events, coach Al Collins (Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker) - a devoted husband and father driven by past failures and a consuming desire to win - empowers his team to 'never say die' as they fight their way to the state championship. In related news, Bow Wow will also be starring alongside Ice Cube in the upcoming film Lottery Ticket. Directed by Erik White, Bow plays a young kid from the hood who lucks up and has to fend off greedy piranhas trying to get his riches. It's almost as easy to count the celebrities without sex tapes or compromising photos than it is to keep track of the ones whose pixilated flesh has radiated around the Internet for all to see. Megan Fox will bare a considerable amount of skin in her upcoming film, "Jennifer's Body," but audiences won't see the 23-year-old actress anywhere close to fully naked and, as she told MTV recently, the public will never, ever have the chance to click onto a Megan Fox sex tape on the Web. "Ugh, never!" said the actress. "That's the last thing I want to see — what I look like having sex. It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex." Just as there will be no nudity on camera in the comfort of her own home, there will be no nudity for Fox on set either. "I can't ever imagine myself doing nudity in a film," she said. "It lives forever, especially now, with the Internet. I just can't. I just can't." In the spring of last year, during filming for "Jennifer's Body," pictures of Fox — nude save for some strategically placed pasties and flesh-colored underwear — popped up on the Web. The fact that those photos will now "live forever" — that her body is no longer private — is something that still upsets Fox. "That's the only thing I have left," she explained. "That's what I was saying when I was so upset that day [when the photos appeared] is people take everything from you when you're in this business. Your anonymity is stripped from you. They invade every part of your personal life, your relationships. Everything you say gets judged, everything you do gets judged. Literally all I have left are my private parts and I don't want to also share them with the world. I'd like to keep them private. That's why they're called that!" Source
