As we previously reported, Drake and Common are beefing and it looks like Com is not even playing around as he fires off on Drake on the remix to "Stay Schemin." It's a direct reply to Drizzy's verse on the song.
“I just ask that when you see me, you speak up n*gga that’s all/Don’t be ducking like you never wanted nothing,” Drake raps on the track. “It’s feeling like rap changed, it was a time it was rugged/Back when if a n*gga reached it was for the weapon, nowadays n*ggas reach just to sell their record.”
There was immediate speculation that the verse was directed at Common, who previously dissed Drake on the song "Sweet"
“He [Drake] opened his mouth and said some things, so if that’s what he want, all that subliminal [talk]…you could do that too, but say it now,” Common told Sway of MTV News and Shade 45's "Sway in the Morning" back in December when asked if "Sweet" was directed at Drake. “The verse is about me but when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it’s like you can’t help but think about dude and I guess that’s what he felt. So at the end of day he fits in that category, he already embraced it, so wear it.”

Beyonce gave birth via caesarean section at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City last night (January 7) to a girl. The couple named her Blue Ivy.

Amber Rose is about to make her debut as a singer with the help of her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa. Whether or not she can actually sing is anybody's guess, but we'll find out Tuesday, January 10th at 9AM EST when her first single "Fame" premieres on PerezHilton.com.

Mike Knox recently released his Boston George mixtape and he's already working on it's follow up. Boston George 2 will be hosted by 50 Cent and DJ Kay Slay. The new mixtape is Knox's way of saying thanks to his fans for waiting while his album See Me Later is being completed.
In addition to the projects mentioned above, Knox and Tony Yayo have teamed up for "Shame On A N*gga," a song that will appear on Yayo's upcoming mixtape El Chapo 2. Knox will also follow up Boston George 2 with two more mixtapes, We Run the Streets and another one aimed at the ladies.
Last but not least, Knox will be featured on the Money Team/G-Unit mixtape that is on it's way. As you can see it's going to be a busy 2012 for the Philly emcee.

Looks like Drake has fired back at Common for dissing him on his record "Sweet."
In a song entitled "Stay Scheming" that also features Officer Ricky and French Montana, Drizzy fires off a line that seems to get at Common.
“I just ask that when you see me, you speak up n*gga that’s all/Don’t be ducking like you never wanted nothing,” Drake raps. “It’s feeling like rap changed, it was a time it was rugged/Back when if a n*gga reached it was for the weapon, nowadays n*ggas reach just to sell their record.”
In an interview yesterday (January 6) French told Justin Credible of the L.A. Leakers that he spoke with Drizzy, who wouldn't reveal who he was dissing.
"I just got off the phone with Drake and he didn't even want to tell me," French said. "They can read between the lines."
At this point there really shouldn't be a need to be subliminal on Drake's part. Common clearly called him out for singing on most of his records on "Sweet." And he did it right before his album, The Dreamer/The Believer dropped which ties into Drake's line, "nowadays n*ggas reach just to sell their record."

The saga of American concert promoter Patrick Allocco has taken a turn for the worse as the price for his release from the Republic of Angola has gone up.
As we previously reported, Nas was paid $300,000 to perform at a New Year's Eve concert in Angola, but failed to show up. Nas claims he didn't make it because of a "miscommunication" about his travel plans.
As a result of Nas' no-show local promoter Henrique 'Riquhino' Miguel sent armed men to kidnap Allocco and his son to prevent them from leaving the country without paying the money back first. After the two were turned over to local authorities the U.S. Embassy stepped in and put them in a hotel until an agreement could be reached.
After Allocco's rep released a statement asking Nas to give the money back so his ransom could be paid, Nas said he would do so once he found out where to send the check to.
Three days later the ransom has yet to be paid.
According to TMZ, Miguel is now demanding an additional $50,000 in expenses on top of the original $300,000 in order for Allocco to be released.
Nas has agreed to pay 300K, but not the additional 50K. On top of that he wants a letter from Allocco and Miguel freeing him from any liability.
The two sides are now deadlocked and Allocco is no closer to getting home than he was three days ago.

At 15-years old New York rapper Astro aka the Astronomical Kid has gotten a lot of valuable experience in dealing with the media and performing in pressure packed situations on the X-Factor.
The Brooklyn kid born Brian Bradley, made it into the top seven of the competition before being eliminated. A couple of weeks prior he was nearly eliminated when he finished in the bottom two. Visibly upset, the teenager didn't want to perform that night to stave off elimination, but was convinced by his mentor L.A. Reid to keep going.
Now that the competition is over he is speaking freely about why he felt he wasn't treated fairly.
"Honestly man I felt like I was being treated unfairly because of something that happened behind the scenes the day before that I can't really talk about," he told Vlad TV. "I could have been wrong, but I felt like I was being treated unfairly and that was X-Factor's way of punishing me [by putting him in the bottom two]. But to be honestly I feel like everything happens for a reason. It had a cause, because after the night my [Twitter] followers went up by like 30,000. But that's the past. It is what it is. Right now I'm focused on the future."
That future is sure to include a record deal soon. There have been rumors linking Astro to Roc Nation, L.A. Reid and G-Unit after he performed with 50 Cent on the season's finale. At this point all of that is still up in the air. Regardless of who he ends up signing with Astro said he will always see Reid as his mentor.
"He's a great man. He let's me be me and that's what I respect," Astro says of Reid. "I feel like if I didn't have L.A. as a mentor I probably would have went insane."

In episode three of Mobb Deep's web series "Start of Ur Ending" Havoc and Prodigy talk about where their career has been and where it's headed. P discusses what made the group decide to go independent and what separates their sound from everyone else's.
"The Mobb Deep sound...Prodigy sound is classic New York period, the hood," P says. "Mobb Deep is a completely different animal. If you can't tell that by now something is f*cking wrong with you. Basically if you can't tell Mobb Deep is something special, we're not like this other sh*t out here, something is wrong with you don't put us in that box. Put us over there on the special shelf. Don't put us with that other bullsh*t, we're not a part of that. Mobb Deep is a little more risky than anything in hip-hop."
Within the episode there is footage of the Mobb performing their 1995 classic "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)" with a live band and frequent collaborator Big Noyd. The group also talks about what's up next for them including a Mobb Deep album, a collaboration project with producer The Alchemist and Prodigy's solo album H.N.I.C. 3.
