Tyler, The Creator's latest album, Wolf, checks in at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after selling 89,000 copies it's first week out. It's the best opening week for the Odd Future rapper. His 2011 album, Goblin, sold 45,000 it's first week in stores.

Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience has slowed a bit in the sales department, but still moved 139,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. Good enough to claim the top spot on the charts for the third consecutive week. The album has now sold a total of 1.43 million copies.

Lil Wayne's I Am Not a Human Being II falls 3 slots from the previous week to land at No. 5. It sold 68,000 copies.

The Band Perry slides into the No. 2 slot after selling after selling 129,000 copies of Pioneer. Blake Shelton's Based On a True Story finished fourth with 82,000 units sold.

Nas is the new Associate Publisher for Mass Appeal magazine. According to Forbes, Esco invested a "six-figure" sum into the publication, which is released quarterly.

“I always liked what they represented,” Nas said. “They invested into the culture. I saw their vision for what they planned and I thought I could add value across the board. Mass Appeal has a legacy and respect,” he says. “It already has a foundation. I just feel like I can add on because I can lend my kind of cultural expertise and my professional acumen, and develop the business.”

The magazine was founded in 1996. Nas appeared on the cover in 2002. A decade later he returns as an owner.

Gucci Mane was indicted on one count of aggravated assault Tuesday for hitting a soldier in the head with a champagne bottle, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The rapper, real name Radric Davis, has been in Fulton County Jail since being arrested late March. He stands accused of striking 32-year old James Lettley inside of Harlem Nights club in Atlanta, when the man approached him for a photo.

Lettley's wound required 10 stitches to close.

Gucci has had a lot of trouble with the law over the years. Fulton County jail records show he has been arrested 10 times since 2005.

Def Jam artist Trinidad James recently sat down with Bay Area radio personality Nessa for a quick conversation.

The rapper was recently spotted at Mansion Elan nightclub in Atlanta with talented YouTube singer Niykee Heaton, which lead to rumors the two were dating. Trinidad said that isn't the case and he's currently single.

The fallout from Rick Ross' date rape lyrics in the song “U.O.E.N.O.” continues. As protesters and rape survivors put pressure on Reebok to drop the rapper, he's also lost money after a recently scheduled show in Ottawa was cancelled because of the song.

Ross was scheduled to perform at the Ernst & Young Centre on Tuesday, however the show's promoter, Urban Jamz Ent., pulled the plug on the concert Friday over "security concerns" according to O.Canada.com.

Student associations at Carleton and the University of Ottawa have collaborated on an end-of-year concert dubbed Pandamonium since 2007. This year they decided not to promote "rape culture" and pulled their support due to Ross' scheduled appearance.

"He wasn’t an artist the SFUO could support," said Ethan Plato, the federation’s president.

“Put molly all in her champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain’t even know it," Ross raps in the song at the center of the controversy..

The rapper was rumored to have been paid between $100,000 and $250,000 for the show.

Rick Ross has someone in his corner when it comes to his controversial lyrics on the song "U.O.E.N.O."

“Put molly all in her champagne / She ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain’t even know it," Ross raps in the song.

YMCMB rapper Tyga spoke to Justin Credible of Los Angeles radio station Power 106 about the song. In his opinion rappers speak out about real life events they might not necessarily participate in themselves. He defended Ross' right to say those lyrics.

"We've all got friends who have been to jail, that sold drugs or whatever. Sometimes you gotta be the voice for them people," Tyga said. "That's what rap is. Even with [2Pac]. 'Pac would talk about having kids [and] his baby mama getting on his nerves, but that stuff he was talking about he was the voice. For [protesters] to talk to Ross...I seen they petitioned in front of a Reebok store. What he said, that's like freedom of speech. It wasn't even his record. For them to do all that off of a mixtape song that wasn't even his is kinda like...You just got those groups that wanna sign a petition. They don't even know what they're petitioning for."

UltraViolet is the group that protested in from of Reebok's store last Thursday. According to TMZ their 400,000 members have been joined by 150 rape survivors calling for Reebok to drop Ross.

"Every single day that Reebok continues rewarding Rick Ross with a lucrative endorsement deal, Reebok is condoning rape," the group says.
