The 2014 Soul Train Awards aired Sunday, November 30. It featured some great performances. One of the highlights was Lil Kim, Missy Elliot and Da Brat performing their 1997 collaboration, "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)."
Not that people needed reminding, but Chris Brown showed why he is a superstar at the 2014 Soul Train Awards by performing a medley of hits, including “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “Poppin’,” “Take You Down,” “New Flame,” and “Loyal.”

On the tenth anniversary of the release of his third studio album, Urban Legend, T.I. sat down with Watch Loud to talk about the song "Bring Em Out."
According to Tip, he wasn't all that enthusiastic about sampling Jay Z's voice on the out of fear of backlash from the public because it wasn't popular at the time to do that. He also didn't really know Jay at the time.
The song's producer Swizz Beatz was sure the song would be a hit and he was right. It turned out to be T.I.'s first top ten hit.

Math Hoffa discussed the growth of Battle Rap in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes.
Math stated that the recognition for Battle Rap at the BET Hip Hop Awards gave him a great sense of pride given the fact that he has played a large part in the growth of the culture. He thinks that it is only a matter of time before Battle Rap earns its own awards, and he also thinks that more industry artists will start battling in the near future.
Math then discussed his own role that has helped to propel Battle Rap to new heights. Despite his darker moments, Math doesn't think that anyone can fill his shoes in the sport.

(Reuters) - A 13-year-old boy who had been reported missing four years ago was discovered alive, hidden behind a fake wall of a home near Atlanta, Georgia, and reunited with his mother early on Saturday, police said.
Five people living in the home in Jonesboro, 17 miles (28 km) south of Atlanta, were taken into custody, among them the boy's father, Gregory Jean, 37, and an adult female, said Sergeant Kevin Hughes of the Clayton County police.
Jean and Samantha Joy Davis face charges of false imprisonment, cruelty to children and obstructing an officer, he said, adding that three juveniles also in the home were facing obstruction charges.
The boy's mother apparently had reported him missing to child welfare but not police, and no missing person's report was filed in Clayton County, Hughes said.
The teen was apparently able to get to a phone recently and contacted his mother with his whereabouts, authorities said.
Clayton County police went to the home on Friday to look for the 13-year-old but Jean and Davis said they had no information about the boy, Hughes said.
Several hours later, police came back and again searched the residence. While the police were in the home, the boy called his mother, who relayed to officers where her son was hidden in the house, Hughes said.
"They discovered him hidden behind a false wall in the interior portion of the home," he said.
The boy appeared to be in good physical health and was reunited with his mother, who had come to Georgia from out of state, Hughes said.
Neighbors in their quiet, well-kept Jonesboro neighborhood said the family moved in about six months ago and kept to themselves.
The 13-year-old boy always seemed to be home and did not appear to be enrolled in school, they said.
"We just thought that they liked to keep to themselves," said neighbor Julie Pizarro, 37, adding that the boy was often seen tending the yard.
"You can see the yard is immaculate," she said. "The boy kept it that way."
The teen went missing in 2010 while visiting his father in Florida, WSBTV reported.
Jean was being held in Clayton County jail and no bail has been set, online records show.
Authorities said Jean and Davis could face more criminal charges as the investigation unfolds.
It was unclear if they had obtained attorneys.

FERGUSON, Mo. (Associated Press) — The Ferguson police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown has resigned, his attorney said Saturday, nearly four months after the confrontation between the white officer and unarmed black 18-year-old that ignited protests in the St. Louis suburb and across the nation.
Darren Wilson, who has been on administrative leave since the Aug. 9 shooting, resigned effective immediately, said his attorney, Neil Bruntrager. He declined further immediate comment.
The Brown family attorney, Benjamin Crump, didn't immediately return phone and email messages from The Associated Press.
Wilson told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he was stepping down out of his "own free will" after the police department told him it had received threats of violence if he remained an employee.
"I'm not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me," said Wilson, who had been with the department for six years.
Wilson fatally shot Brown after a scuffle in the middle of a street, where Brown's body lay for several hours as police investigated and a crowd of angry onlookers gathered. Several days of tense and at times violent protests followed, prompting Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon to call in the National Guard to help.
Some witnesses have said Brown had his hands up when Wilson shot him. Wilson told a grand jury that reviewed the case that he feared for his life when Brown hit him and reached for his gun.
The grand jury spent more than three months reviewing evidence before announcing Monday that it wouldn't indict Wilson, igniting violence among protesters that resulted in at least a dozen commercial buildings in the area being destroyed by fire. Several other large but peaceful protests have since been held in Ferguson and across the country.
The U.S. Justice Department is conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting and a separate investigation of police department practices.
Rick Campbell said he didn't care about the resignation, saying: "I've been protesting out here since August." Several other protesters merely shrugged their shoulders when asked about the resignation.
"We were not after Wilson's job," civil rights activist the Rev. Al Sharpton said in a written statement. "We were after Michael Brown's justice."
Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson didn't immediately return a message left on his cellphone seeking comment.
Wilson spent months in hiding and made no public statements following the shooting. Wilson, who recently got married, broke his silence after the grand jury decision, telling ABC News that he couldn't have done anything differently in the encounter with Brown.
Wilson said he had a clean conscience because "I know I did my job right." Brown's shooting was the first time he fired his gun on the job, he said. Asked whether the encounter would have unfolded the same way if Brown had been white, Wilson said yes.
Wilson began his career in nearby Jennings before moving to the Ferguson job a few years ago. He had no previous complaints against him and a good career record, according to Jackson, who called Wilson "an excellent police officer."
A few months before the shooting, Wilson had received a commendation for detaining a suspect in a drug case.

He took that motivation and got to work on his first solo mix-tape, "The Memoirs of Franklin Benjamin’s," which was released in 2011. Loose Bills' is more prepared than ever as he has since released his new mixtape "Digital Dope" Vol.1. Following the release of ‘ Digital Dope’ came the Digital Dope video series, that created a big buzz with several thousand views. Loose Bills is currently working on a 14 track mixtape entitled "20 mins til Arrival". Buckle your seat belts and return your seats to their upright position because Loose Bills is about to ARRIVE.
