Rapper Meek Mill will be released from a Philadelphia jail today after serving five months for parole violations, according to NBC Philadelphia.

The Dream Chasers Records boss was near the end of his five year probation sentence for drug and gun cases when he was cited for multiple violations, including missed meetings with his parole officer and posting a photo with a gun on social media.

In July, Judge Genese Brinkley sentenced Meek, real name, Robert Williams, to 3-to-6 months in jail, restarted the clock on his 5-year probation from the beginning and ordered him to take etiquette classes.

The timing of his jail sentence delayed the release of Meek's sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. It will probably now arrive in early 2015.

Xzibit is no longer a single man. The 40-year old rapper tied the knot with Krista Joiner on Sunday, November 30. He was understandably overjoyed and shared his thoughts on Instagram.

Yesterday was our wedding day. It was nothing short of amazing. We were surrounded by friends and family and had an outstanding ceremony. It was not tainted by negative energy and I made sure it stayed that way. There was a time I thought I would NEVER get married. I thought that being single was the only way for me, not knowing that I was giving up more of myself to people who didn't care about me or love me unconditionally. I had to do a LOT of growing up and over time came the maturity I needed to be able to make a commitment stronger than anything that I have done in my life outside of being a father to my two beautiful sons. Yesterday, I made my family complete. I had to realize that I am not perfect and I don't always do the right thing, but when I was standing there, watching it all unfold, the only thing I could think about was, I am worthy of being a husband and she deserves the world and the security that comes from being a wife. I have no regrets about my past, the good and the bad. But now, this is my future. My sons needed to see that. They now have an example to reference in life when it comes to being a man and how to treat a real woman when you find her, or in my case where she puts up with your bullshit until you come around..lol. Thank you to the groomsmen and bridesmaids who made the day go so well, thank you to the wedding planner who made our day feel and look like a movie,(details details)@bignutellapb for keeping the idiots out and making sure we had no problems.@curtchambers Put together a band that rocked like you wouldn't believe, couldn't have asked for a better moment. So now what? Well, we go forward, take the good with the bad and make room for blessings. Before I got married, some of my homies asked me if I was nervous, I said "you're only nervous when you're not sure." Keep it pushing ladies and gents, cause I'm going forward.@mrskristajoiner

More than a few drinks were consumed and while driving home, police in Laguna pulled X over a cited him for driving under the influence. He was arrested and taken to a nearby station to be booked.

Jas Prince, son of Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince, is credited with discovering Drake. Jas signed the rapper to his company Young Empire Music Group and to Aspire Music Group. In 2007 Cash Money Records wanted to sign Drizzy and Jas agreed to a deal that would give him 22% of of the rapper's future profits and advances.

According to court documents, Jas later approached Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant with a new deal demanding more money.

Jas ended up filing a lawsuit seeking $4 million dollars from Birdman and Cash Money, claiming he was cheated out of royalties.

Bryant now says he only signed the new deal because he thought he might be killed if he didn't.

The docs claim that Prince chased them around the table with a gun and threatened to kill them if they didn’t sign the new agreement. He goes on to say Cortez didn’t call the police because he feared for his life and he just signed the document, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Read the court documents here.

Drake is not involved in the lawsuit.

Video After The Jump

On Monday, December 1, Fabolous announced he would be releasing his next album entitled The Young OG Project on December 25. The lead single off of it is called "Lituation."

The Brooklyn, New York rapper talked to MTV about the forthcoming release and why he chose "Lituation" as the first offering to the fans.

12351250461?profile=original

“This is a word that I’ve been hearing floating around and I thought, why not make a song of it?’ It’s really about a situation that can get lit," Fab said. “You can come into a situation and it can be [calm] and you can turn it up and get it a little lit. It’s real street, like New York street... kinda aggressive. I wanted to start with that just to get the feel, and get you there first, and then the rest of the album will take you different places.”

Video And Audio After The Jump

Charles Barkley is making controversial statements once again. The outspoken former NBA player was a guest on Philadelphia radio station 97.5 The Fanatic recently when the topic of the Ferguson grand jury deciding not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown came up.

12351247487?profile=original

Barkley thought the grand jury made the right call.

"The true story came out from the grand jury testimony," Barkely told Mike Missanelli, adding that "three or four witnesses, who were black, said exactly what the cop [Wilson] said."

12351247879?profile=original

The looting and riots were a sore point for Barkley. He doesn't even consider the troublemakers to be African Americans.

"Those aren't black people, those are scumbags," he said. "There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people's businesses, burning down police cars. We have to be really careful with the cops man, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the Wild, Wild West in our neighborhoods,” Barkley continued. “We can’t pick out certain incidents that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad. Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn’t for the cops?”

What's your take on Barkley's comments?
