Video After The Jump

In this clip from his exclusive sit down with VladTV, Daylyt discussed the upcoming battle between Smack and Jack Thriller, the West Coast vs. the Midwest Movement, and the URL providing California with a proving grounds.

The clips starts off with the Cali emcee being asked about the highly anticipated matchup between Smack White and comedian Jack Thriller. After being provided with a couple of details on the contest, he went on to say that he believes Smack would be fully prepared for such a battle due to the long career he has had in the battle world.

When asked if this matchup, as well as having other non-battlers step in the ring would have a positive impact on the battle rap culture, Daylyt replied that it would be a good look, while comparing these types of battles to professional wrestling. The Grape Street veteran also said that having the CEOs participating in battles brings excitement and unpredictability to the game.

When asked which league owners would have the most success while lyrically sparring, Day responded that Smack White would be the most successful due to the impact he already has in the battle world and his ability to capture the crowd and be a fan favorite. He then went on to state his opinion that his battle with Jack Thriller will go viral instantly.

The subject about battles between emcees from the Midwest Movement and the West Coast then came up for discussion. After saying that the battles would be able to take place in the near future, the antics king also stated that he wants to separate himself from emcees in his hometown who represent the "Freshcoast Movement". He then went on to say that the only non-street battler he would consider competing on a team with was fellow Cali native Dumbfoundead.

Daylyt was then asked about the URL providing his home state with a proving grounds platform. Although he stated that he thought it was positive for the up and coming California battlers to have a chance to compete in the league, he feels the URL staff only has the intent of furthering Rum Nitty's career.

The clip closes out with the WWA owner shouting out Dre Vicious when asked about other up and coming west coast emcees who deserve a chance to grace the URL stage.

Video After The Jump

Uncle Murda looked at Chris Lighty as his "secret weapon," and revealed to VladTV that it was hard for him to deal with Epic Records following the music exec's untimely death. The New York emcee admits that he wasn't surprised when L.A. Reid didn't deal with him directly, but Uncle Murda says he's still getting lots of love in the streets.

The rapper explains that his new single, "Real N***as Back," is getting a lot of play on Shade 45, Hot 97, and Power 105.1, and adds that he's bringing authentic street rap back with the new track.

Check out more from Uncle Murda in the above clip.

Video After The Jump

PARIS (Associated Press) — As a frantic pilot pounded on the cockpit door and passengers screamed in panic, the Germanwings co-pilot "intentionally" sent Flight 9525 straight into the side of a mountain in the French Alps, a prosecutor said Thursday.

In a news conference in Paris, Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin laid out the horrifying conclusions reached by French aviation investigators after listening to the last minutes of the Tuesday morning flight from Barcelona to Duesseldorf. The Airbus A320 began to descend from cruising altitude after losing radio contact with ground control and slammed into the remote mountain, killing all 150 people on board.

It was the co-pilot's "intention to destroy this plane," Robin said.

He said the pilot, who has not been identified, left the cockpit, presumably to go to the lavatory, and then was unable to regain access. In the meantime, co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, a 28-year-old German, manually and "intentionally" set the plane on the descent that drove it into the mountain.

460x.jpg

Robin said the commander of the plane knocked several times "without response." He said the door could only be blocked manually.

He said the co-pilot's responses, initially courteous, became "curt" when the captain began the mid-flight briefing on the planned landing.

The information was pulled from the black box cockpit voice recorder, but Robin said the co-pilot did not say a word after the commanding pilot left the cockpit.

"It was absolute silence in the cockpit," he said.

460x.jpg

During the final minutes of the flight's descent, pounding could be heard on the cockpit door as plane alarms sounded but the co-pilot's breathing was normal throughout the whole time, Robin said.

"It's obvious this co-pilot took advantage of the commander's absence. Could he have known he would leave? It is too early to say," he said.

He said Lubitz had never been flagged as a terrorist and would not give details on his religion or ethnic background. He said German authorities were taking charge of the investigation into Lubitz.

Robin said just before the plane hit the mountain, the sounds of passengers screaming could be heard on the audio.

"I think the victims realized just at the last moment, " he said.

The families of victims were briefed about the shocking conclusions just ahead of the announcement.

"The victims deserve explanations from the prosecutor," Robin said. "(But) they have having a hard time believing it."

Robin said the second black box still had not been found but remains of victims and DNA identification have begun, he said.

In the German town of Montabaur, acquaintances told The Associated Press that Lubitz showed no signs of depression when they saw him last fall as he renewed his glider pilot's license.

12351456882?profile=original

"He was happy he had the job with Germanwings and he was doing well," said a member of the glider club, Peter Ruecker, who watched Lubitz learn to fly. "He gave off a good feeling."

Lubitz had obtained his glider pilot's license as a teenager, and was accepted as a Lufthansa pilot trainee after finishing a tough German college preparatory school, Ruecker said. He described Lubitz as a "rather quiet" but friendly young man.

Lufthansa said the co-pilot joined Germanwings in September 2013, directly after training, and had flown 630 hours.

The captain had more than 6,000 hours of flying time and been a Germanwings pilot since May 2014, having previously flown for Lufthansa and Condor, Lufthansa said.

Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond will never be a free man again. Already serving a life sentence for running a drug ring, Rosemond has been sentenced to a second life term for his role in the death of G-Unit affiliate Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher.

According to the New York Post, the former CEO of Czar Entertainment, hired 2 men to carry out the 2009 hit in the Bronx, New York.

12348915275?profile=original

Brian “Slim” McCleod was paid with $30,000 worth of cocaine to lure Fletcher to a Bronx street corner, where his accomplice Derrick “D” Grant fired the fatal shots.

Manhattan federal Judge Colleen McMahon called Rosemond's crime "heinous" and told him “there’s nothing I can do to alter your fate.” She handed down the life sentence on Tuesday, March 24.

Another Action Bronson concert, another fan gets tossed from the stage. Only this time the fan seems to enjoy it.

Bronson hates it when random people invade his spade while performing. Usually they end up body slammed or sumo thrown.

On Tuesday, March 24, Bronson was holding an album release party at Terminal 5 in New York City. He spotted the fan, dropped his mic and went to work.

Watch as the fan seems to help propel himself back into the crowd.

Former hoops star Larry Johnson is staring at a huge child support debt. The only problem he's dead broke.

TMZ reports that the 46-year old has filed for bankruptcy in California earlier this month, citing the $300,000 in debts he's drowning in. The filing might not help him when it comes to the $120,000 in back child support he owes for 5 children he fathered with 4 different women.

Johnson was picked No. 1 overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1991 NBA draft. He played 10 years in the league before retiring.

Video After The Jump

VladTV offers another exclusive with Alchemist courtesy of Leyla Stacked.

The clip commences with the veteran MC turned beatsmith being challenged to name his favorite artists to work with, and Alchemist names a legendary emcee in his response. "This is not the most fun or favorite artist, but I feel like I need to get back in with Nas again. It's been a long time since we've worked [together]."

Soon the conversation turns to how Hip-Hop impacted his life as an adolescent growing up in Beverly Hills. Revealing that he's never really pondered it, Al adds, "Rap was raising us. In Beverly Hills -- or wherever people were growing up -- at that time we were raised off of Rap -- "Yo! MTV Raps," [and 93.5] KDAY radio." He lightens the mood by adding, "I dunno, I guess I'm like the hardest sh*t to ever come out of Beverly Hills. I outdid Lenny Kravitz; that was my competition."

Next, Alchemist speaks on how his race has affected his musical maturation. The acclaimed producer maintains, "We know how the world is; we all know what exists in the world." He explains that there have never been in "incidents" where racism prevented his creativity from flourishing. Al reiterates, "You listen to music; you close your eyes and listen to the sh*t."

Video After The Jump

LAS VEGAS (Associated Press) — The first ticket has yet to be sold, but the richest fight in boxing history is getting richer by the day.

New estimates show Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s payoff for fighting Manny Pacquiao could easily be $180 million, up substantially from earlier predictions of $120 million. Pacquiao gets the short end of the purse, but even that is expected to be well over $100 million by the time everything is tallied up.

The money is staggering, though not exactly unexpected. Five years of waiting seem to have only piqued the public's demand for the one fight even casual fans of the sport want to see.

"For whatever it's worth, the buildup over these years has certainly enhanced the fight," promoter Bob Arum. "Everybody knows about it now, even people who don't follow boxing. Plus we have a good economy, unlike in 2009 when people were out of work and didn't have the money to spend."

Fans will certainly have to pay a price to see the May 2 welterweight title bout, especially those lucky enough to score a ticket inside the MGM Grand arena itself. Ticket prices there range from $1,500 in the upper deck to $7,500 at ringside — and only a small percentage of the tickets will actually be put on public sale.

Mayweather Pacquiao Boxing

Arum said Tuesday the gate at the MGM alone will be more than $72 million, obliterating the previous live gate record of $20 million in Nevada set by Mayweather's 2013 fight with Canelo Alvarez. Though the MGM will provide some tickets for its biggest gamblers, Arum said even the celebrities who can normally get free tickets to sit ringside will have to pay full fare for the fight — if they can get their hands on tickets at all.

Promoters announced a deal Tuesday with Sky Sports to televise the fight on pay-per-view in England and parts of Europe, part of another $35 million expected to come in from foreign rights. Add in another $10 million in sponsorships — Tecate beer will be the main sponsor — and the fight will gross more than $100 million before a single home in North America buys the pay-per-view.

Less certain is how many people will spend what is expected to be $100 or so for the pay-per-view in the U.S., but that could easily break records, too. Mayweather's 2007 fight with Oscar De La Hoya currently tops the charts with 2.44 million buys, but many think Mayweather-Pacquiao could do more than 3 million homes despite softness in the pay-per-view market in the last few years.

"That's the one element that's a mystery," Arum told The Associated Press. "It seems like it will break the record, but who really knows? Anyone who predicts the total pay-per-view is whistling in the dark."

Cable networks HBO and Showtime have yet to announce the pay-per-view price, saying they are still in negotiations with cable systems and satellite providers. Those negotiations are mostly about how the money will be divided between the broadcasters and the fight promoters, who historically have split revenues fairly equally.

With promoters holding the upper hand for this fight, though, that split could end up 65-35 in favor of the promotion. And if 3 million homes buy the fight at $100, that would mean about $200 million in revenue to Mayweather Promotions and Arum's Top Rank from pay-per-view alone.

Add in the other money and the two camps will have more than $300 million to divvy up. With Mayweather getting a 60-40 split, that would mean a purse of $180 million or more to Mayweather and $120 million or more to Pacquiao.

Both purses would dwarf the biggest ever in boxing, including the 2007 fight with Mayweather in which De La Hoya made a reported $52 million. Mayweather's biggest payday was against Alvarez, when he was guaranteed $41.5 million and may have made another $20 million off the pay-per-view sales.

"You get to this level where you're making nine figures in 36 minutes," Mayweather said at the fight press conference this month in Los Angeles, "and you have to be a winner."

Judging from the money on the table in this bout, it's hard to find a loser.
