MIAMI (AP) — Mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor has been arrested in South Florida for stealing the cellphone of someone who was trying to take his photo, authorities said.
According to a Miami Beach police report, the 30-year-old McGregor was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with robbery and criminal mischief. An attorney for McGregor called the altercation “minor” and said the popular fighter would cooperate with authorities.
McGregor was leaving the Fontainebleau Miami Beach shortly after 5 a.m. Monday when a 22-year-old man attempted to take a picture of McGregor, the police report said. Police said McGregor slapped the phone out of the man’s hand and then stomped on it several times. McGregor then grabbed the phone and left the area, the report said. Police later found McGregor at his local address.
“Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation involving a cellphone that resulted in a call to law enforcement,” Samuel J. Rabin Jr., a Miami-based attorney representing McGregor, said in a statement. “Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”
McGregor, who’s from Ireland, is the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion and one of the biggest draws in MMA. He returned to UFC last fall after a hiatus during which he made his boxing debut, a loss to Floyd Mayweather. He was suspended from UFC for six months and fined $50,000 for a brawl after his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Investigators have identified a Los Angeles-area girl found dead in a duffel bag along a suburban equestrian trail, and two people have been detained in connection with the case.
The coroner’s office determined the girl was 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones and ruled her death a homicide, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said late Sunday.
The department has declined to say how Trinity was killed and a department spokeswoman on Monday declined to identify the people who’ve been detained. They’re considered persons of interest.
The department plans to release additional details later in the week.
Trinity’s body was found on March 5 partly protruding from the duffel bag at the bottom of an embankment in Hacienda Heights, southeast of Los Angeles.
Investigators believe her body was there less than 48 hours.
A sketch of Trinity released to help identify her showed her wearing a pink shirt that read, “Future Princess Hero.”
A man who identified himself as Trinity’s father told KTLA-TV that his daughter was full of life and joy and that he’s in shock over her death.
“Words can’t explain what I’m feeling right now,” Antonio Jones said. “I just want answers. I just want justice.”
He declined to discuss details about the case or Trinity’s living situation.
Meanwhile a large memorial near where Trinity’s body was found continued to grow Monday, with people stopping by to add Disney balloons, teddy bears, flowers and photos of the bright-eyed girl. Signs read, “Justice for Trinity,” and “Rest in Heaven, Princess.”
A GoFundMe page created by Trinity’s uncle describes her as “a very loving and caring little girl.”
“She had a great imagination ... so much so whenever she would wear a pretty dress, she would call herself a princess,” according to the post. “She didn’t deserve to be tossed out like trash.”
Report via TMZ -- Drake is leaving behind one of his biggest songs featuring Michael Jackson as he heads across the pond to tour -- and it's all because of "Leaving Neverland."
Sources tell TMZ Drizzy's removed the song "Don't Matter to Me" -- a "Scorpion" track featuring MJ's vocals -- from his setlist on the UK leg of his international tour. His first show went down Sunday, and the omission didn't go unnoticed.
Drake was performing at Manchester Arena ... he started with the same opening and closing songs that he picked for his North America tour, with one big exception ... the Jackson track, which he'd performed in the USA throughout 2018.
The Manchester show was the first of about a dozen more shows across the pond. Drake will make stops in London, Birmingham and Dublin before it's all said and done.
No word on whether Drake actually believes the allegations against Michael -- our sources didn't speak on that one way or another. Regardless, Drake's move to mute MJ speaks volumes.
BG Knocc Out spoke to VladTV about Greg Kading telling VladTV about members of the Southside Crips working as informants, which he said he had never heard of before. He explained that he heard of people being killed in his neighborhood for being informants, and BG Knocc Out added that he also heard of people being killed on their way to court to testify. When it comes to news of Orlando Anderson's own family tipping off police about his involvement in 2Pac's fatal shooting, BG Knocc Out had some questions about the validity of the person giving the information.

ROUND ROCK, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Police said a Round Rock woman left her children home alone for several days while she traveled to South Carolina. 28-year-old Chrystal Walraven has been charged with child abandonment.
Police said there were five children living at Walraven's home while she was out of state. Their ages range from 15 months to 12 years old. The Round Rock Police Department said they visited the Walraven’s home in late August after the Gattis Elementary School principal expressed concern over a student's current living situation.
According to court documents, Walraven's children complained to the principal about having to stay up all night to change their sibling's diapers. Police report that when they visited the home on High Point Drive it smelled like garbage and feces. The officers said there was an infant in a crib near the front door, and four other children age 12 and under alone in the home.
Paperwork described the house as being in disarray, with stained carpets, scattered dirty diapers, and accessible knives. At that time, officers called Child Protective Services.
Police contacted the father of some of the children who claimed a neighbor was watching them while their mother was away. When officers contacted that neighbor, she claimed the father of another child was checking on them.
Police said that man also believed he was not responsible for supervising the kids.
When police located Walraven, she admitted to taking a trip to Myrtle Beach for four days to check out a job. Court documents said Chrystal told police she should not have left the kids alone.
Neighbors told FOX 7, they assumed Walraven was at work.
They explained that Walraven’s children often play outside until midnight, so that wasn't out of the ordinary, and said the kids appeared excited when CPS arrived.
A warrant was issued for Walraven's arrest in early February. She turned herself in on child abandonment and endangerment charges February 11 and bonded out the same day.
Abandoning or endangering a child is a second degree felony, punishable by 2-20 years in prison.
(WGN) -- CHICAGO — Singer R. Kelly was released Saturday from Cook County Jail after paying more than $161,000 in back child support.
Kelly, 52, was taken into custody Wednesday after failing to the pay child support to his ex-wife. The singer during a court appearance earlier this week only had a third of what he owed. A judge refused to let Kelly pay in installments.
It was not immediately clear who posted money on Kelly's behalf Saturday. Cook County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said a payment was made Saturday morning.
Kelly is also facing 10 counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Cook County prosecutors allege he abused a woman and three girls over the span of 12 years. Kelly met one of the alleged victims at her 16th birthday dinner, prosecutors said. Another, also 16, sought an autograph outside his 2008 trial for child pornography; he was acquitted in that case.
Ed Genson, Kelly's attorney for the 2008 trial, made headlines earlier this week — telling the Chicago Sun-Times that Kelly "was guilty as hell" in 2008.
Genson, 77, told the newspaper he arranged for Kelly to get shots of libido-killing drugs to keep the singer from getting into further trouble.
“He was guilty as hell!” Genson said. “I don’t think he’s done anything inappropriate for years. I’ll tell you a secret: I had him go to a doctor to get shots, libido-killing shots. That’s why he didn’t get arrested for anything else.”

The dichotomy of the leveled up highs vs. the sinking lows in life plays heavily into the new AWAR song and visual "Highs and Lows", produced by DITC legend Showbiz. The reflective riding joint appears on AWAR's recent album, "Spoils of War"
I wrote this joint the same month that I lost two cherished family members, meanwhile my first born child was on the way. I think that accurately describes the ups and downs I was feeling at the time and we all have different coping mechanisms for the joy and pain that is life. The studio happens to be my outlet for that.
After dropping a gem of an album, "Spoils of War" back in October; which included Guests including Jadakiss, Styles P, Raekwon, Scarface and Anthony Hamilton, as well as production from Alchemist, Nottz, Jake One, Lord Finesse, Showbiz, Statik Selektah, Vanderslice and more; AWAR continues to drop visuals off his latest opus. CARROLLTON, Mississippi (AP) — A Mississippi man shot and killed his wife and two other people at her birthday party last week after she tried to stop him from driving drunk, investigators said.
Michael Barnhill, 30, of Winona, is charged with three counts of homicide and two counts of attempted murder, news outlets reported.
Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker said Barnhill is jailed without bond. It was not immediately clear Wednesday whether Barnhill is represented by an attorney who could comment on the charges.
Witnesses told investigators that Marlee Jones Barnhill kept the keys to the couple’s truck during the gathering Friday, the night before what would have been her 27th birthday.
“These were all good friends having a nice time together,” Walker said in a statement released after Barnhill appeared in court on Monday. “Michael Barnhill, however, became drunk and belligerent during the course of the evening. The others discouraged his drunkenness, and he became angry and combative.”
The sheriff said Marlee Barnhill kept the truck keys “to prevent him driving away in his drunken state.”
“Marlee was trying to do the right thing to protect his life and the lives of other drivers,” Walker said.
Walker said Michael Barnhill got a pistol out of the truck, slapped a cigarette out of her hand and shot her in the chest, then fatally shot the party’s hosts, 44-year-old Jim Harrell and his 39-year-old wife, Brooks Harrell. Two other women went upstairs to protect the Harrells’ 10-year-old son, who was asleep.
Marlee Barnhill and Jim Harrell died at the home, and Brooks Harrell died as emergency responders were taking her to a helicopter that was waiting to fly her to a Jackson hospital, the sheriff said.
Walker said Michael Barnhill left the home but returned while deputies were there, and he acted as though he didn’t know what happened. The surviving witnesses, though, identified him as the shooter and the deputies arrested him after a brief struggle, Walker said.
