A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly slugging her girlfriend in the face after hearing her sleep-talk about an ex, a report said.
Alexis Talley, 23, woke up her 21-year-old girlfriend after the sleep-talking episode and told her that “she was talking in her sleep about an ex,” according to an arrest report obtained by The Smoking Gun.
The two started arguing inside their Tampa Bay-area apartment late on June 13 and the feud escalated when Talley allegedly socked the victim in the face.
The victim suffered swelling to the right side of her face, police said.
Talley admitted to verbally fighting with her girlfriend, but denied hitting her, according to cops.
Police arrested Talley and charged her with domestic battery.
She posted a $2,500 bond and was ordered by a judge to stay away from the victim.

REGINA, Saskatchewan (AP) — Leaders of Indigenous groups in Canada said Thursday investigators have found 751 unmarked graves at the site of a former residential school for Indigenous children — a discovery that follows last month’s report of 215 at another school.
“This was a crime against humanity, an assault on First Nations,” said Chief Bobby Cameron of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous First Nations in Saskatchewan. He said he expects more graves will be found on residential school grounds across Canada.
“We will not stop until we find all the bodies.”
The bodies were discovered at the Marieval Indian Residential School, which operated from 1899 to 1997 where the Cowessess First Nation is now located, about 85 miles east of Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan.
Chief Cadmusn Delmore of the Cowessess said that the graves were marked at one time, but that the Roman Catholic Church that operated the school had removed the markers.
“The Pope needs to apologize for what happened,” he said. “An apology is one stage in the way of a healing journey.”
Last month the remains of 215 children, some as young as 3 years old, were found buried on the site of what was once Canada’s largest Indigenous residential school near Kamloops, British Columbia.
Following that discovery, Pope Francis expressed his pain over the discovery & pressed religious & political authorities to shed light on “this sad affair.” But he didn’t offer the apology sought by First Nations & by Canadian prime minister.
From the 19th century until the 1970s, more than 150,000 Indigenous children were forced to attend state-funded Christian schools, the majority of them run by Roman Catholic missionary congregations, in a campaign to assimilate them into Canadian society.
The Canadian government has admitted that physical and sexual abuse was rampant in the schools, with students beaten for speaking their native languages.

(CNN) Rudy Giuliani, the former personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump, has been suspended from practicing law in New York state.
In a ruling released Thursday following disciplinary proceedings, a New York appellate court concluded that "there is uncontroverted evidence" that Giuliani "communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump's failed effort at reelection in 2020."
It's a stunning turn for the former New York City mayor who was once a former prosecutor for the Southern District of New York.
Giuliani's lawyers, John Leventhal and Barry Kamins, said in a statement Thursday they "are disappointed with the Appellate Division, First Department's decision suspending Mayor Giuliani prior to being afforded a hearing on the issues that are alleged. This is unprecedented as we believe that our client does not pose a present danger to the public interest. We believe that once the issues are fully explored at a hearing Mr. Giuliani will be reinstated as a valued member of the legal profession that he has served so well in his many capacities for so many years."
Giuliani -- or lawyers representing him -- is set to be in court in DC Thursday afternoon over a defamation lawsuit from the vote management company Dominion Voting Systems, which is suing Giuliani and others for statements they made alleging election fraud.

SURFSIDE, Fla. (NBC2) — At least one person has died and two others are in critical condition after part of a South Florida building collapsed early Thursday morning, officials said.
A search and rescue mission is underway in Surfside to find any survivors that might be trapped in the rubble of the collapsed building. Officials brought in search dogs to help assist in the recovery.

It looks like the rapper did in fact take back his ex, Saweetie's, 2020 Bentley Continental, despite what Quavo sources had insisted, because that exact same car -- complete with "icy" headrests -- is up for sale on the luxury and exotic car dealership Jakes Motorcars.
The GTC V8 convertible is being marketed as a used luxury whip that has only 2,191 miles. It's still pricey tho ... at a cool $279,888.
You'll recall the Migos rapper once gifted Saweetie the Bentley, but after their very public breakup .... there were rumors he took it back as payback. At the time, our Quavo sources insisted the whip was a lease and that he struck a deal with the dealership that allowed him to end the contract early, which Quavo allegedly did when the relationship went kaput.
We reached out to Quavo's team to tell them we found the listing, and they refused to comment.
As we reported ... Quavo and Saweetie broke up back in March after she strongly suggested he was unfaithful. There was also that elevator altercation, but Saweetie says that's not why they split.

Vanessa Bryant has settled her wrongful death lawsuit against the company that owned the doomed helicopter in the crash that killed Kobe, Gigi and 7 others.
According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Vanessa's legal team filed a notice of settlement with the court ... but the terms of the settlement are confidential. The court still needs to sign off.
TMZ broke the story ... Vanessa sued Island Express back in February 2020, blaming the helicopter company for the fatal crash that killed her husband and daughter.
In her suit, Vanessa claimed the weather conditions -- an extremely low, blinding fog -- were not conducive to flying ... and she claimed the pilot, Ara George Zobayan, failed to properly assess and monitor the weather before takeoff and during flight.
As you know ... the crash tragically killed Kobe, Gianna, Alyssa Altobelli, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Christina Mauser and the pilot.
While this suit is settled, Vanessa's also suing the L.A. County Sheriff's Department after learning deputies snapped and shared images of the wreckage and remains.

Last June, Antonio Brown received two years of probation after pleading no contest to three charges stemming from a January 2020 incident with a moving truck driver.
But now, Brown’s probation is has been terminated a year early.
Per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the criminal matter related to the case is now over.
“In further demonstration of Antonio Brown’s hard work and great progress since his NFL suspension, we are very pleased to advise that his withheld adjuration is now final and he has completed his probation a full year ahead of schedule,” attorney Sean Burstyn said, via Rapoport. “We see nothing but blue sky for AB.”
While the criminal matter is over, Brown is facing a civil suit related to the same incident for battery and assault.
Brown was suspended for the first eight games of the 2020 season for multiple violations of the league’s personal conduct policy. He signed with the Buccaneers in late October and played eight games in the regular season. Brown also caught a touchdown pass in Super Bowl LV.
He re-signed with Tampa Bay in late May.
