"I made this album in under 24hrs. Travis aka 88BlessedBeat sent me an instrumental he was just working on while we were on the phone (Maxell Tapes) and 20minutes later the song was done. I called back and told him to send another beat over (Mirrors) and the outcome was the same. After listening back to both of the songs I told Trav he sparked my creative flame and I wanted to drop a small 5 track EP. After looking at the Calendar I decided on Halloween which at the time was about a month away. I contacted every producer I wanted to work with for this project and then all sent me beats back the same night. I recorded Every song in the track listing in linear fashion except Maxell Tapes and Mirrors. Working non-stop from 11pm to 7am, taking a power nap for a couple hours before completing my vocal performances. NEW YORK - Drug lord Alpo Martinez, once one of New York City's most notorious drug kingpins, was gunned down on the streets of Harlem early Sunday morning.

He was a larger-than-life figure who had seemed to defy death in the past.

Martinez became famous in the 1980s for his murderous ways and mountains of drugs and cash. He was immortalized in dozens of rap songs and the movie Paid in Full.

The NYPD was called to Frederick Douglass Boulevard near W. 147th St. just before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.

A dark, red pickup truck had crashed into parked cars. The driver had been shot 5 times in the chest through the car window. He continued to drive the truck approximately four blocks before crashing.

EMS took him to NYC Health + Hospitals Harlem but it was too late to save his life.

Martinez was in the witness protection program so his ID had the name Abraham Rodriguez printed on it, along with a Lewiston, Maine address. He had been given a new identity after he was released from a Colorado prison in 2015. He had been serving more than 20 years for his role in 14 murders.

He had also widely believed to have flipped on his former associates to cut years off of what could have been a life sentence.

Instead of lying low, he was often seen in Harlem and there may have been no shortage of people who wanted him dead.

It might not be smooth sailing for Mark Zuckerberg in his quest to change Facebook's identity, because we've learned someone was already ahead of him in trying to grab the "Meta" trademark & they're willing to give it up to Zuck for a steep price.

Back in August, the founders of a company called Meta PC filed to trademark the word "Meta" for computers, laptops, tablets, software & more items relating to tech -- so, right in Facebook's wheelhouse.

The founders, Joe Darger & Zack Shutt, tell us they've been operating Meta PC for a little over a year, but recently filed docs to formally trademark their brand.

While Meta PC's trademark petition hasn't yet been granted, they still have a lead on Zuckerberg if he tries to claim it for his rebranded company. For that, Darger & Shutt tell us they're willing to give up their quest to lock the phrase down if Zuck will shell out $20 MILLION.

The cost might seem crazy, but the way Darger & Shutt see it, giving up the TM will require them to rebrand their entire company ... which, of course, will be super expensive.

Trademark or not, Meta PC has already reaped some of Facebook's announcement benefits -- they've seen a 5,000% increase in followers across their social media channels ... not too bad.

However, a source close to discussions tells TMZ ... Meta (Facebook) believes they have the rights necessary to adopt the "Meta" trademark for their goods and services.

TOKYO (AP) — A man dressed in Batman’s Joker costume and brandishing a knife on a Tokyo commuter train on Sunday stabbed several passengers before starting a fire, which sent people scrambling to escape & jumping from windows, police & witnesses said.

The Tokyo Fire Department said 17 passengers were injured, including 3 seriously. Not all of them were stabbed and most of the other injuries were not serious.

The attacker, identified as a 24-year-old man, was arrested on the spot & was being investigated on suspicion of attempted murder, NHK said. His motive was not immediately known.

Nippon Television reported that the suspect told police that he wanted to kill & get a death penalty & that he used an earlier train stabbing case as an example.

Witnesses told police that the attacker was wearing a bright outfit — a green shirt, a blue suit & a purple coat — like the Joker in Batman comics or someone going to a Halloween event, according to media reports.

Tokyo police officials said the attack happened inside the Keio train near the Kokuryo station.

Television footage showed a number of firefighters, police officials & paramedics rescuing the passengers, many of whom escaped through train windows. In 1 video, passengers were running from another car, where flames were gushing.

NHK said the suspect, after stabbing passengers, poured a liquid resembling oil from a plastic bottle and set fire, which partially burned seats.

It turns out that alleging the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol was a hoax doesn’t sit well with a lot of people.

Tucker Carlson this week debuted a trailer for his fantastical upcoming “documentary” that claims the insurrection was a “false flag” operation. The trailer has drawn the ire of politicians & media figures from both sides of the aisle. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) bashed Carlson after the trailer was released. So too did fellow Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera, who called the “false flag” claim “bullshit.”

He elaborated in an interview with The New York Times. “There are some things that you say that are more inflammatory & outrageous & uncorroborated,” he said. “And I worry that — & I’m probably going to get in trouble for this — but I’m wondering how much is done to provoke, rather than illuminate,” he said.

The Anti-Defamation League is also dismayed by the forthcoming film. The group wrote a letter to Fox News on Thursday expressing “deep alarm” at the film. “Let’s call this what it is: an abject, indisputable lie & a blatant attempt to rewrite history,” Jonathan Greenblatt, the league’s CEO & national director, wrote. “As an organization committed to fighting antisemitism and all forms of hate, we remain deeply concerned that the false narrative and wild conspiracy theories presented by Carlson will sow further division & has the potential to animate violence.”

Making matters worse is that the film’s co-writer, Scooter Downey, has ties to Pizzagate & other unfounded conspiracy theories.

Downey & Carlson both have a writing credit on Patriot Purge, the 3-part documentary series set to air on Fox News streaming service Fox Nation. In a trailer for the film, which is set to premiere Monday with a “week-long” promotion on the network, a woman is shown saying that “false flags have happened in this country, one of which may have been January 6th.”

Alberto "Alpo" Martinez was killed this morning in Harlem, New York.

According to various reports, the 55-year old former drug dealer, turned federal informant was struck multiple times in the chest in a hail of bullets fired from a passing vehicle on W. 147th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. just after 3:20 a.m., cops said.

EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made.

Alpo was famously played by Cam'Ron in the 2002 hood classic film 'Paid in Full." The movie, which also stars Wood Harris and Mekhi Phifer, tells the story of the rise to prominence of former drug kingpin Azie Faison, his friend and business partner Rich Porter, along with Alpo.

Porter was murdered by Alpo on January 3, 1990 over a drug and money dispute.

New York: A group of NFT collectors has paid $4 million to purchase the only copy of a one-of-a-kind album by the rap group Wu-Tang Clan.

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital object—a drawing, animation, piece of music, photo, or video—with a certificate of authenticity created by blockchain technology.

The album was previously owned by Martin Shkreli, a disgraced executive sentenced to prison for fraud, and sold at auction in July as part of a deal to settle his debt to the US government.

The buyer was kept secret until this week, when PleasrDAO, a group of New York NFT collectors, announced it had purchased the only copy of "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin."

According to US media reports earlier this week, retweeted by PleasrDAO's Twitter account, the group paid $4 million for the two-disc, 31-track album.

They are known among NFT collectors for having acquired digital works by US whistleblower Edward Snowden and the Russian dissident feminist punk band Pussy Riot.

They now hope to share "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" with the public.

"Although we are bound by the legal agreement underpinning this work of art and may not be able to duplicate and share the music digitally," PleasrDAO said on its website, "we firmly believe there are ways to share this musical masterpiece with the world."

Ice Cube has departed Sony’s upcoming comedy, Oh Hell No, in which he would’ve co-starred with Jack Black, after declining a request from producers to get vaccinated, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Sony had no comment. A personal representative for the star declined to comment. WME, his agency, declined to comment. Oh Hell No is being produced by Matt Tolmach and Black, who both did not offer a comment.

Ice Cube and Black partnered on the project in June. The Sony film was looking to shoot this winter in Hawaii with Kitao Sakurai, the filmmaker behind Netflix’s breakout comedy Bad Trip, in the director’s seat. Producers on Oh Hell No made the request that cast on the project would need to be vaccinated.

The film is pushing back its production start. Black injured himself in June while filming a gag for the last episode of Conan but is still attached to the project. Sources tell THR the studio is looking to find a replacement for Ice Cube, who walked from a $9 million payday.

Throughout the pandemic, Ice Cube has promoted mask-wearing. In August, Bacone College in Oklahoma thanked the star and others for a donation of 2,000 face masks to use as personal protective equipment. In April 2020, amid COVID-19 lockdowns, he unveiled “Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self” branded T-shirts, featuring the star in a mask, in partnership with the manufacturer Black Out, with proceeds to benefit frontline health workers.

Will Smith is living proof that being fit on the outside doesn't fix what's inside, because he just revealed he once considered suicide.

Smith made his revelation in a trailer for his YouTube docuseries, "Will Smith: The Best Shape of My Life." The doc follows his journey losing 20 lbs in 20 weeks, but the weight loss regime opens a door to some fundamental issues in his life.

He says, "When I started this show, I thought I was getting into the best shape of my life, physically. But, mentally, I was somewhere else. And, I ended up discovering a whole lot of hidden things about myself."

He makes an obtuse reference in a convo with his family ... "That was the only time in my life that I ever considered suicide." He doesn't give context to that, but presumably, he opens up about it in the docuseries.

BTW ... the docuseries, which dropped Friday, coincides with the release of his upcoming memoir, where he says he's "exposing my life and so many things that people don't know."

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — A military jury imposed a sentence of 26 years Friday on a former Maryland man who admitted joining Al-Qaeda & has been held at the Guantanamo Bay detention center. But under a plea deal, the man could be released as soon as next year because of his cooperation with U.S. authorities.

The sentencing of Majid Khan is the culmination of the first trial by military commission for one of the 14 so-called high-value detainees who were sent to the U.S. naval base in Cuba in 2006 after being held in a clandestine network of overseas CIA detention facilities & subjected to the harsh interrogation program developed in response to the 9/11 attacks.

Khan, a 41-year-old citizen of Pakistan who came to the U.S. in the 1990s & graduated from high school near Baltimore, earlier pleaded guilty to war crimes charges that included conspiracy & murder for his involvement in al-Qaida plots such as the deadly bombing of the J.W. Marriott hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, in August 2003.

He apologized for his actions, which included planning al-Qaida attacks in the U.S. after 9/11 & a failed plot to kill former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf. During a two-hour statement to jurors on Thursday, he said: “I did it all, no excuse. And I am very sorry to everyone I have hurt.”

The jury of 8 military officers was required to reach a sentence of 25 to 40 years. Jurors heard of Khan’s extensive cooperation with U.S. authorities following his guilty plea & heard a 2-hour statement from the prisoner describing his brutal CIA interrogation & captivity in the 3 years before he came to Guantanamo.

In addition to the sentence, the jury foreman said 7 of the 8 jurors had drafted a letter to Pentagon legal authorities recommending clemency to the defendant, which is an option under the military commission legal system.

A pretrial agreement means he could be released as early as February, at which point he would be resettled in an as-yet to be determined third country. He cannot return to Pakistan.

Jurors were not told about the pretrial agreement, which requires a Pentagon legal official known as a convening authority to cut his sentence to no more than 11 years because of his cooperation. He would also be given credit for some of the time he has already spent in custody.

It will be up to the Biden administration, which is working to close the detention center that now holds 39 men, to find a country willing to accept Khan for resettlement along with his wife & the daughter who was born after he was captured in Pakistan.

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo will get his mug shot taken and be fingerprinted next month — when he faces “an overwhelming amount of evidence against him” in court, authorities said Friday.

“He will be arraigned, he will be fingerprinted,” Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple told The Post of Cuomo’s Nov. 17 court date involving the misdemeanor criminal charge against him for allegedly grabbing a female ex-aide’s breast.

“He will be photographed and … [presumably] he will be released on his own recognizance,” Apple said of the disgraced ex-governor.

If Cuomo fails to appear in court, “You could have a criminal arrest warrant issued,” Apple added at a press conference Friday.

Apple’s office filed the criminal complaint against Cuomo in Albany City Court on Thursday — with the sheriff calling the case “solid” at the briefing.

Apple said his office conducted “a very comprehensive and methodical investigation.”

The rap against Cuomo could land him a year behind bars if convicted.

The charge — filed by the sheriff’s office because that’s where the ex-aide lodged her complaint in August — claims Cuomo, 63, “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim … and onto her intimate body part.”

The former administrative assistant was not named in the court document, but her lawyer has identified her as 33-year-old Brittany Commisso, one of a slew of Cuomo sex-harassment accusers.

Commisso’s lawyer, Brian Premo, told The Post in a text Thursday that his client “was surprised by the turn of events but she has been and will remain a resolute cooperating victim in pursuit of blind justice.”
