People are buzzing about 50 Cent's new music video for "Major Distribution" featuring Young Jeezy and Snoop Dogg. The Eif Rivera-directed clip has all the key elements that make a hip hop video hot.

You have great verses from all 3 emcees, hot chicks, guns and of course that Maybach Music Group chain. Many people have speculated about where the chain came from. 50 Cent sat down with MTV and gave them an answer.

12349800856?profile=original

"It came from a jeweler. Jewelers, they made it. Yeah, we got it and ended up putting it in the video," the G-Unit boss explained. "That's what rappers do: Rappers put jewelry in videos."

Fif said contrary to previous reports the piece wasn't lifted from Gunplay's neck when he went flying through the air like a video game character at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.

"Rumors today, you can't believe everything you hear," 50 said. "The internet is crazy."

Video After The Jump

50 Cent returned to Ear Candy Mornings yesterday to sit down for a chat with Renada Romain. The two talked about how well the single "My Life" is performing, people doubting his music and if we will see a G-Unit reunion with Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks.

"Probably not," 50 said of the possibility of a G-Unit reunion. "You got people that grow in different directions. I've offered everything I could offer to G-Unit. I allowed them to be in front of my audience the entire time to develop their own fan base and have people recognize their attributes. And their defects at that point so what do you do? I don't care what other people want. I could give a f*ck if they want a G-Unit reunion. You can kiss my motherf*cking a$$ as far as that's concerned. I think when we get to the point [about] something the public is saying, it's a trend. It's an idea that one person had that other people are following. When did [G-Unit] dissolve? It dissolved as they didn't actually support the projects."

12349842876?profile=original

50 also discusses his relationship with Floyd Mayweather Jr., positives he's taken from their friendship and why he was discussing business with Manny Pacquiao at one point.

12349843253?profile=original

"My communications with Manny Pacquiao and his team was for Floyd Mayweather," Fif explained. "The company itself was initially being created to be a bargaining chip that they could actually split and look at it like it was a retirement plan. When you have a fighter that doesn't make money off anything but fighting and they're in that cycle of get the money, spend the money. You know that it's a comfortable flight, but the plane has no wheels. When it does land, it will crash land. So, if I'm sitting there and I'm trying to create that thing that's in between that allows them to be around what they're passionate about. And that's the sport of boxing. They've put everything into it. When I build it and you decide you don't wanna do it. When there's no income away from anything else but boxing and you know you can't fight forever. And you're saying 'I got 2 of 3 left in me.' And you see the actual fighter not fighting the toughest opponents. And navigating like 'let me fight who I think I can win [against].' When you see those decisions being made you go 'OK, hold up... let me start thinking about your exit strategy.' If that doesn't pop up then you don't have any logic with the way you view your life."

50 later predicts who he thinks would win if Manny and Floyd ever fought.

Snoop Dogg is currently locked in a dispute with the Rastafari Millennium Council and Bunny Wailer of Bob Marley and the Wailers.

As we previously reported, the Council is demanding The Doggfather stop using the name "Lion" and pay them money, while Wailer accuses him of "outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community's personalities and symbolism."

Today the Long Beach rapper is getting support from Bob Marley's son, Rohan Marley.

Marley told TMZ that his father would have embraced Snoop's love of the culture.

12349821878?profile=original

"Our father's name should not even be mentioned in this issue because like a true Rasta, he would have embraced Snoop's reincarnation and welcomed the positivity," Rohan said. "Why condemn a man for his love of Rastafari and Bob Marley? We have been cool with Snoop before his transformation and he will continue to have our blessings and support."

Nine former African American contestants have united to file a lawsuit against American Idol, accusing the show of racism.

According to TMZCorey Clark (Season 2), Jaered Andrews (Season 2), Donnie Williams (Season 3), Terrell Brittenum (Season 5), Derrell Brittenum (Season 5), Thomas Daniels (Season 6), Akron Watson (Season 6), Ju'Not Joyner (Season 8) and Chris Golightly (Season 9), have hired New York attorney James H. Freeman to sue the show on their behalf.

Freeman has taken the first step in the process by submitting a letter to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, asking to sue the show. Freeman is required to file with the EEOC before moving forward with the lawsuit.

12349830090?profile=original

Freeman began to look into American Idol's dismissal of black contestants when Jermaine Jones was kicked off on March 15, 2012. Fox executives said Jones was kicked off the show for failing to inform them about several outstanding warrants out for his arrest.

12349830889?profile=original

Jermaine Jones

Freeman says that during his investigation of the show he found out that all nine of the contestants that  were kicked off the show over the the years were African American. He further claims that the show has "NEVER once publicly disqualified a white or non-black American Idol contestant in the history of the eleven season production."

Freeman accuses Idol of conducting a "cruel and inhumane" scheme to exploit and humiliate black contestants for ratings by making them appear to be "violent criminals, liars and sexual deviants"

None of the disqualified contestants were ever convicted of the crimes for which they were charged at the time of their elimination.

"Yet their personal and professional lives remain permanently and severely impaired by [the show's] continuing violations of our nation's laws," says Freeman.

Freeman claims that when Idol asks would be contestants the question: "Have you ever been arrested?" during the background check stage they violate CA employment law. The question is forbidden since his clients were applying for employment.

Freeman says Idol used the background information and arrest records to humiliate contestants and perpetuate "destructive stereotypes" about black people.

As soon as Freeman gets the green light from the EEOC, he will move forward with the lawsuit.

12349831467?profile=original

Ruben Studdard and Jordin Sparks

Three African American contestants have previously won the show including Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Jordin Sparks.

Fox executives declined to comment on the story.

With so many different business ventures going on at the same time it's important for 50 Cent to have people he trusts, that are dependable working with him. During an interview with Apartment Therapy's Chris Perez at CES 2013, 50 revealed the secret to building a strong team.

"A big part of being successful is being a good judge of character," 50 told Chris. "You have to have people knowledgeable enough in different areas to find who is going to be the right person to specialize in the other. You got to do it in pieces. Imagine this, you're a journalist and my friend knows something about journalism. I'm going to bring him with me when I meet with you so he can throw things out there — to see what you know, and what you don't know. Then I can assess if you're the kind of person I want to be involved with. 'Did he impress me or did he not impress me?' After going through the process you feel like you accumulate the people that are the right team and then full steam ahead."

Timbaland recently became an investment partner in SMS Audio. Timbo is on the board of directors and will help with product development. 50 talked about the partnership.

12349789082?profile=original

"Timberland is the other producer I work with outside of Dre...[in music] I use them as sound boards," explains Fif. "I'll go create what my album is and then bring it and play it for them to put pressure on them to give me something better than I already have. Creatively they'll listen and they want to be the best. [Timbaland] financially invested in SMS audio — and got some equity / ownership in the company — so that he can help me with the signature sound. Obviously we'll use professional acoustic engineers to get it to the right place but if I'm in a space that I feel like I have two that are the best, I'll go 'OK, here you decide.' Then Timb can listen in and we'll go from there...his ear for it can help us pick the right things."

One of the hobbies the G-Unit mogul has picked up in the last several years is photography. He's photographed Rosa Acosta and Tia (Rick Ross' babies' mother) for Smooth Magazine. 50 explains to Chris what attracted him to the art.

12349838487?profile=original

"I traveled my first 3 albums...I got a huge map inside my office and I put push pins in each one of the locations I had been," the G-Unit boss said. "So if I was in Germany I'd say I want to go to Copenhagen, because there was no pin in that area on the map. When I say I'm a world touring artist I wanted to mean it, and feel like I've been everywhere. So I opened markets in Africa, Kosovo, and Croatia, just to say 'yeah, I've toured everywhere.' The excitement of getting back and looking at the actual map was cool but I didn't have anything to hold onto or remember the actual time period. So a photo album would have been a lot more effective of the actual experience...seeing how you changed...how the style changed over that period...your haircut...your energy. The Vitamin Water staff gave me some photography lessons and it went from there."

As owner of SMS Audio, 50 firmly believes in his product and uses the headsets on a daily dasis.

12349839095?profile=original

"I use those. These [headphones] fold up and are portable. This morning I got up at like 6:30am and went to the gym and used them early there but everyday my shift changes. Under different circumstances I'll be traveling and...getting in a car from a plane," 50 says. "I haven't traveled with the noise canceling ones yet, they don't want me walking around with them because we just unveiled those here at the CES [sitting back and laughing]. Notice I said 'they didn't allow me?' I'm supposed to own the place but I still need to listen to people."

Chris said he has personally tried out the SMS Audio headphones and picks them over Beats by Dre.

12349839486?profile=original

Chris Perez

"I listened to the Street by 50 headphones and left very impressed," Chris says. "The sound quality is great, and in my opinion delivers more clear and crisp highs than the popular Beats by Dre line. If you're in the market for headphones in this category, I think they're definitely worth a listen."

To read the full interview head over to Apartment Therapy.
