Kendrick Lamar and artist Eddie Peake team up up for a unique visual for K. Dot's song "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst," off of the album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.
Peake creates a mural using the words of the song while Kendrick cruises through his old Compton stomping grounds.
At the end of the clip the Top Dawg Entertainment artist spits a freestyle while admiring Peake's work. This is the first of a 2-part video. The second one will air in January 2014.
When the lights shut off, an artist's dream is that their work will stand the test of time. The ones that influence our culture are the ones we most remember. Here, two powerful creative forces come together to elevate the status quo and lay ground to their legacy. This is their poetry. Sing about them. This is part one.

Video And Poll After The Jump
Playing defense in the National Basketball Association is a hard task. Opposing players are big, fast and strong, but there's nothing worse than getting posterized.
That's exactly what happened to rookie Ben McLemore of the Sacramento Kings on Friday, December 20, when LeBron James of the Miami Heat welcomed him to the NBA with a thunderous dunk.
The same thing happened to New Orleans Pelicans player Jeff Withey in November when Xavier Henry of the Los Angeles Lakers came down the middle of the paint and put him on a poster with a nasty dunk.
NBA.com just put up a video of the dunks side by side and asked whose was better. The one by 6'6 Henry or the flush by 6'8 King James?
Take a look at the video, vote in our poll, then sound off in the comment section below.
Dunk of the Year: Xavier Henry or LeBron James??

Barbara Walters named Miley Cyrus one of the Top Ten Most Fascinating People of 2013. The two sat down to discuss Miley's drastic image change, where she sees herself in 10 years, her wagging tongue, why she wears revealing outfits, her breakup with Liam Hemsworth and the public's perception of her.
On if she regrets anything from the past year.
Not at all. It wasn't just to shock people. It was really with a purpose. To make everyone in the world be talking about me and my music, which right now it is.
On shedding her Hanna Montana image
I really feel like every day I'm figuring it out. People that know me, they see me change every week, every two weeks. I'm changing and learning so much. Especially now that I feel like I found more of my independence. I don't think I was ever really happy with who I was.
On if she always wants to be naked
I don't always wanna be naked. I came out in a full Marc Jacobs dress fully covered. And they wrote 'Miley is boring.' She doesn't get naked and she's boring. No matter what I do, I'm either boring or I'm a slut.
On why she always sticks her tongue out.
Because I get nervous taking pictures. I stick my tongue out because I don't know what else to do
On the perception that she's desperate.and deeply troubled.
I know I'm not, so that's why I just kind of laugh. because I feel like the people who are saying that ... I don't know exactly who is saying that because I refuse to Google myself. The minute I stopped Googling myself, you don't imagine what a happier person I am.
