Chicago rapper RondoNumbaNine has been arrested and charged with 1st degree murder in connection to the February 22 shooting death of 28-year old cab driver Javan Boyd.
Boyd was waiting for a customer at around 4 A.M. when 17-year old Rondo, real name Clint Massey, approached his vehicle with another unidentified shooter. The two began firing shots into Boyd's vehicle, hitting him 7 times.
Boyd was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead.
Assistant State's Attorney Robert Mack said Massey and his accomplice were in the area looking to retaliate for an earlier fight. It's not known if Boyd was the person they were looking for.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, part of the shooting was caught on surveillance video. One of Massey's fingerprints was found in Boyd's car. Witnesses also placed him at the scene of the crime. The teen was arrested Friday night (March 7) when police pulled his car over.

On Sunday Cook County Judge James Brown ordered Massey held on $2 million bond.
The young rapper has collaborated in the past with Lil Durk, Lupe Fiasco and Fredo Santana. His video for the song "Hang with Me" remix has 1.3 million views on Youtube.

When Lil Boosie was released from prison last week after being locked up for 5 years the hip hop community rejoiced. However, Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 suspects there was a lot of fake love going around.
"The social media and the hype surrounding the return of Lil Boosie from prison is downright out of control," Peter said this morning on The Realness. "This is no disrespect to Lil Boosie. I think Lil Boosie is super talented. Let's just be real though. Most of these places and people talking about him don't actually care about Lil Boosie."
Rosenberg also went in on people who remembered The Notorious B.I.G. on the 17th anniversary of his passing on Sunday, March 9.
"Did you happen to see yesterday's Biggie celebration?" he asked Ebro. "I understand that we at Hot 97, the station that broke Biggie Smalls and had a deep relationship with him... It made sense that on the radio here we did something. But guys, it was the 17th anniversary. It wasn't 15. It wasn't 20. It wasn't 25. I don't need every douche bag on Instagram to put up their tribute to Biggie Smalls. Guess what? If Biggie's looking down he doesn't care what you think about him. Just shut up already!"

Judging from the video obtained by TMZ, it's clear that Justin Bieber was not happy about being grilled for 4 1/2 hours in his deposition by the lawyer of a photographer who is suing the singer and his bodyguard, Hugo Hesny.
Jeffery Binion claims that he was assaulted by Hesny at Justin's request when he attempted to take pictures of the pop star outside of The Hit Factory recording studio in Miami in June of 2013. (Read the incident report here)

According to Binion, Hesney flashed his gun, threw him against a wall and choked him while he and several other bodyguards took the memory card out of his camera. As a result, Binion says he suffered mental anguish, bodily injury, pain and suffering and had to pay for medical expenses.
"Justin Bieber is now an adult, and he should act like one. He needs to learn that he cannot use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people. Bieber’s violent behavior toward photographers must end, and he should take responsibility for his actions," Binion's lawyer, Russell S. Adler, told TMZ at the time the lawsuit was filed. "No amount of fame or fortune justifies Bieber’s shameful and outrageous conduct. To send him that message and deter his misbehavior in the future, we will seek punitive damages against him as allowed by Florida law."
During Justin's deposition last Thursday, March 6, he was defiant. The singer cursed at a court reporter, got angry when asked about on/off again girlfriend Selena Gomez, mugged for the camera and said he, not Usher, was responsible for his success. He just doesn't give a damn in general.

Today marks the 17th anniversary of Christopher Wallace's untimely passing at the age of 24. Known as The Notorious B.I.G. in the entertainment world, the Brooklyn, New York emcee will forever be remembered as one of the greatest to ever touch the mic.
Biggie's 2 studio albums, Ready to Die and Life After Death, are widely considered to be classics. He also introduced the world to Lil Cease and Lil Kim through his group Junior M.A.F.I.A., and was the cornerstone of Diddy's Bad Boy Records.
Diddy paid tribute to the black Frank White by posting a series of photos of the rapper on his Instagram account today.
