Newark, New Jersey native Profit, born David Garcia, learned early that nothing in life comes withoutstruggle, and his struggles provide the basis for his artistic expression—rapping. Born September 23, 1986,Profit watched his single mother work hard to provide the best she could for him and his younger brother. When Profit was ten his mother moved the family to Tifton, Georgia—a drastic change from the Newarkcityscape. However, small-town Tifton left Profit with some ambivalence. At the age of twelve hemet his “brothers from another mother,”Jermaine and Jamal Miller, and together they tapped into theirmusical talents. The influences of their music came from Pastor Troy, No Limit Soldiers and Cash Money;although Profit feels that the emergence of T.I. greatly influenced him musically. “When T.I.P. came out that was the best rapper alive to me...I wasn’t trying to be a swagger-jacker, but if there was anybody that I idolized it would have to be T.I.”Meeting the boys was the highlight of Profit’s Tifton experience as the three, along with Profit’syounger brother, began to rap. After the creation of the foursome, however, troubles soon followed inProfit’s personal life. He was eventually expelled from Tift County High School leaving him no choice but to return to New Jersey in 2004 at the age of 18. “I was considered a trouble maker, always getting in trouble in school and getting in trouble at home, butI just thought I was misunderstood.” The feelings of being misunderstood followed him back to Jerseyas he searched for a stable living situation. He was often displaced and shifting between the homesof his relatives—until he would get kicked out. Just when things seemed as though they could not get anyworse, a much-needed opportunity arose. One of Profit’s friends was attending Essex County College and told the basketball coach about Profit’s situation, and the coach offered a proposal: if he made the basketball team, he could stay in the dorms. “With God’s grace I made the team.” Everything was beginning to look up, but the troubles continued as he was forced to leave school after two semesters due to grades. The father of two girls eventually moved back to Georgia with a new prospective and a new dream, determined to make it rapping. As Profit’s music continues to remain self-spoken and meaningful, his supporters continue to grow.Reaching from the hoods in New Jersey to Tifton, Georgia, Even Over to asia, he is making his nameknown through various showcases and performances. Willing to take his negatives in life and create positives with them, he is ready to work just as hard in music as he has in life to make a way, while still keeping his priorities intact. “I have my talent and my blessings, but without God none of this would matter. I am chosen not because I can rap, or not because I can write music, but I’m blessed because God has tasks for me to fulfill, and life, for me, is finding out what these tasks are. I love helping people and giving, so listen out for me.” Profit who has now changed the spelling of his name: Prophit ! Which he gives both meanings has took his music career to new depths dropping his first video and Single : " Sacrifices " will soon seen and heard world wide as he continues to rise.Get Connected With Prophit Muzic On Social Media:Instagram: www.instagram.com/prophitmuzic

Via TMZ -- Tekashi69's got a date with the judge -- he got a trial date in court Monday morning after he entered a plea in his federal racketeering case.

The rapper -- who has been behind bars since Nov. 18 -- was in court, where he entered a not guilty plea. The judge set his trial date for September 4. That's a long way off and, at least for now, it seems 6ix9ine will remain behind bars for much of that period ... if not all of it.

The issue of bail was not addressed in court. As we reported, his attorney, Lance Lazzaro, plans to apply for bail directly to the trial judge. Tekashi was denied bail when Lazzaro offered to pay $750k, surrender his passport and remain on house arrest.

TMZ broke the story ... Tekashi and 2 former associates, including his manager, Shottie, were arrested by federal agents on racketeering and other serious charges. According to his indictment, obtained by TMZ, Tekashi and his crew conspired to commit a slew of crimes, including drug deals, armed robberies and shootings.

The feds believe Tekashi himself pulled an armed robbery on April 3 along with his ex-manager, Shottie, and 2 other members of the Nine Trey Bloods.

The indictment also mentions the April 21 shooting incident at Barclays Center in Brooklyn ... and fingers Fuguan Lovick as the trigger man. In all, the indictment lists 17 counts dating back to 2013.

As we first reported ... Tekashi was moved to a new detention center just in time for Thanksgiving ... and, so far, he's having a rough time of it there.
