Forbes Reports
A collection of Michael Jackson memorabilia, including the now iconic rhinestone-studded glove he wore when he performed his first moonwalk dance in 1983, is being sold at auction.
The glove and other Jackson items are part of a music memorabilia auction being held by Julien's Auctions at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York's Times Square on Saturday.
Michael Jackson's Crystal Shoe will also be auctioned today
Jackson wore the left-handed glove, which accompanied his fedora, when he unveiled what was to become his trademark dance on Motown's 25th-anniversary TV special. It's a modified, store-bought glove covered with a mesh of rhinestones.
The glove's pre-auction estimate is between $40,000 and $60,000.
The pop icon, who died June 25 at age 50, gave the glove to Walter "Clyde" Orange, of the singing group the Commodores, after the 1983 performance.

NY Daily News Reports
Condoms may make for safe sex, but a city teacher says they made for unsafe conditions at a Manhattan high school.
Karen Hollander is suing the Department of Education over injuries she says she suffered following a nasty spill on garbage and "slippery foreign substances" that included condoms discarded by students at the High School of Art & Design.
Hollander says she suffered injuries to her head and nervous system after her Nov. 12, 2008, tumble at the Second Ave. school.
The suit says school officials failed to maintain safety in the cafeteria by allowing trash that included condoms to pile up on the floor.
"They caused, allowed and permitted condoms to be distributed by school personnel to the students, many of which were opened during the school lunch period and thrown on the floor," says the suit.

DMX may have wanted to fix his fight to avoid an ass-beating, but now he's really cruisin' for a bruisin' -- legally -- because the promoters that hired X are suing him for chickening out last minute.
According to docs filed Friday in Birmingham, Alabama -- Thunder Productions wants $1,000,000 from the rapper, claiming he's a fraud and led them on ... because as soon as they refused to fix his fight, he backed out.
The company says DMX's jitters really put them under the wire and cost them a ton of moolah because they had to switch gears late in the game and find a celebrity replacement.
But if you want our opinion -- DMX isn't half the man who's fighting in his place on December 12 ... because that man is Coolio!!!Read more…

LA Times Reports
It's not easy being on late-night television.
Marv Albert, the veteran NBA announcer for TNT, was in town for the Lakers-Chicago Bulls game Thursday night. On Wednesday, Albert was a guest on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show. The musical star was rapper 50 Cent.
As Albert arrived, with an entourage of one, TNT public relations specialist Jeff Pomeroy, there was a sudden scuffle when a multitude of 50 Cent protectors seemed unfamiliar with Albert. There was shouting ("It's Marv Albert," yelled a Kimmel show guard, a pronouncement that seemed to have no effect on the 50 Cent phalanx.) There were obscenities. A fist or two flying. A "Don't you put your hands on me" pronouncement.
And finally Albert made it to his waiting room, relatively unruffled but slightly puzzled. "Did you see that?" Albert said. "I thought they were kidding, but then I realized they weren't."
Kimmel said Albert's appearance was at his request. "I've been a fan of Marv's for a long time," the late-night host said. "I appreciate great broadcasters who are distinctive. I like somebody who brings a real personality to the job but in a professional way. Your job is to call games, not tell jokes, not make yourself a personality. I think Marv is great."
Perhaps 50 Cent's people would have recognized Albert had the broadcaster just walked down the hallway saying, "Yessssss!"
**ChasinDatPaper's Two Cent's Below**
So Marv Albert says he got into a fight with 50 Cent's people and was still able to walk away pretty much unharmed? Yeah right, remember Marv Albert is no stranger to controversy or police stations as his mug shot below shows. I wasn't there but something tells me if a middle aged man went heads up with Fif's goons he would probably need to be carried out on a stretcher and not be in any condition to talk about it.
Video After The Jump50 Cent explains to Vibe how things have reached the point in his battle with Officer Ross where he feels like nothing is off limits. In 50's opinion, Ross crossed the line when he or his people photoshopped a picture of his son's head and put it on the body of a monkey. He also suggested that if the former correctional officer took better care of his business his baby momma and son wouldn't be so eager to fly out to Vegas to hang out with him and Floyd Mayweather Jr..

Video After The JumpWall Street Journal Reports
Oprah Winfrey plans to end her syndicated television show in September 2011 as she turns her attention to a new cable-television channel she plans to launch with Discovery Communications Inc.
Ms. Winfrey told her staff of her decision on Thursday, according to a person familiar with the matter. She plans to make an official announcement Friday morning on her talk show, according to a spokeswoman for Ms. Winfrey's Chicago-based Harpo Inc.
The move is a big blow to the syndicated television market in which Ms. Winfrey has long been a juggernaut. "The Oprah Winfrey Show," launched in syndication in 1986, averaged 6.6 million viewers in the week ended Nov. 8, according to Nielsen Co.
Local TV stations, which use Ms. Winfrey to anchor daytime hours, could smart from her move. Even as advertisers have cut budgets in the past year, Ms. Winfrey's show has been among the few whose rates have held steady, according to one ad buyer.
"In our market, she does extremely well and always has," said Barry Smith, director of programming and creative services for KFMB-TV, a CBS affiliate in San Diego, Calif., that is owned by Midwest Television Inc. "It's going to be a task" to replace her, Mr. Smith added.
Ms. Winfrey's decision also represents a hit to CBS Corp., which distributes her show in syndication. "We look forward to working with her for the next several years, and hopefully afterwards as well," CBS said.
The loss of Ms. Winfrey's show will be missed in particular by the book publishing industry. "It's a blow," said Lorraine Shanley, a partner in the consulting firm Market Partners International Inc., who earlier this week watched former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin promote her book on Ms. Winfrey's show.
"Oprah Winfrey has supported many authors, and her book club has had a huge impact on America's reading habits," added Ms. Shanley. "She made Faulkner a best seller again. She also promoted an eclectic group of authors and created publishing successes for many commercial writers."
"If it is the end of her daily talk show, we probably won't see something else to match its overall potential impact on book sales in the broadcast arena any time soon," said Stuart Applebaum, a spokesman for Bertelsmann AG's Random House publishing arm. "She has an integrity and connectivity to her viewership that is unmatched by any other television broadcast personality. Happily she enjoys reading books and wants to persuade her viewership to enjoy them as much as she does. It's not a characteristic shared by any other TV personalities with her persuasiveness."
Ms. Winfrey is likely to turn her attention to her new television network, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, which she announced with Discovery Communications in January 2008.
The new channel is structured as a 50-50 joint venture between Ms. Winfrey and the cable programmer, which will replace its little-watched Discovery Health channel with the new offering.
"I will be involved in every single element of programming," Ms. Winfrey said at the time.
Since then, the network's launch has been delayed. It is now expected to launch in January of 2011, according to a person familiar with the matter. Ms. Winfrey and the network also expect to announce some plans for the new network in coming weeks, the person said.
Earlier this month, OWN named Lisa Erspamer, a veteran producer at Harpo, as its chief creative officer. Ms. Erspamer, a co-executive producer of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" since 2006, will be based at OWN's Los Angeles headquarters, according to a press release.
In January, OWN hired former MTV president Christina Norman as chief executive. She took over from Tom Freston, a former Viacom CEO and MTV veteran who has served as a consultant for the network, according to people familiar with the situation.

SixShot.com Reports
In an interview with Funkamster Flex last night (November 20), 50 Cent gave his opinion on the low sales projection of his latest album Before I Self Destruct.
As reported earlier, the album is projected to only sell around 160,000 copies by next week and will most likely miss the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.
50 Cent believes that the low sales were caused by the album's leak and the inability of his record label to take action.
"With the actual outcome of the project, once the record leaks from the international plant, what more can I do," 50 explained. "I can't, I held the record long enough to get it to them, to mix and master it and for them to ship it and then it leaks from the plant internationally, I'm like come on, then that's it. They lost the ball. You know what I mean, if the numbers look funny to me, it's they fault."
Before I Self Destruct landed on shelves Tuesday (November 17). The set features appearances from Eminem, Ne-Yo and R. Kelly.
50 has enjoyed stellar first week sales since his official debut in 2003.
Get Rich Or Die Trying scored 872,000 copies, The Massacre cashed in over 1,000,000 copies and Curtis rolled in 691,000 copies.
