Noblesville, Ind. — Gary Dewester is under fire for selling soaps with offensive labels like: "Kolored Kids" and "Darkie" with a black man pictured in a top hat. Other soaps contained labels with other racially charged slurs.
The building owner of Logan Village Mall told Fox59 News Dewester's lease may be pulled if he doesn't pull his soaps. Dewester claims the soaps sell well. He said he buys them from Florida.
Dewester has refused to pull the soaps saying they are a gag gift and that people have become too concerned about being "politically correct." Fox59 News visited the store and had a lengthy discussion with Dewester. Following are excerpts of the discussion with him that lasted about 10 minutes.
You know this is offensive to a lot of people
Gary Dewseter : It's not offensive to me.
You're making money off of racism.
Gary: Racism? Our country was built on racism. If it didn't sell we wouldn't sell it. People buy it.
But should you be the middleman to make a profit off racism?
Gary: Racism?
People are going to be appalled at this.
Gary: They are? Then people are just too politically correct. How about gay people in our country. Would they be offended by "Gay Johnny" and "The Fairy soap." (Gary then showed the soaps labeled "Gay johnny" and "The Fairy soap"). This is free publicity and I hope it makes every channel, because people will come in here.
People will think you're a racist because you're selling this soap.
Gary: I'm a businessman selling a product people buy
Why would you want to be making a profit off of racism?
Gary: Because it's a legal product
But don't you have a moral principle not to promote something like this?
Gary: In our country the almighty dollar says it all, ma'am
Are you a racist?
Gary: No. are you?
No, but I would never sell soap like this.
Gary: Well, that's you're prerogative
Would you consider not selling it anymore? I think you''ll have customers, who after seeing this story, won't want to come to your shop.
Gary:I'm glad you people (Fox59) are putting it on the air because we're going to have customers. Some will come in and look at the soaps out of curiosity, and then buy other things. You people are the leaches of the world putting it on the 6 O'clock news. We've sold it for ten years and we've had one complaint in ten years. Evidently that one complaint a month or so ago, has built into this giant festering sore of racism. I'm selling 20-30 bars of soap a year.
And you say its popular.
Gary: Yeah
Do you believe some of your customers are buying because they're racist and they're getting a kick out of buying the soap?
Gary: Some of them think it's funny
There's nothing funny about racism.
Gary: Alright, that's your opinion.
Standing defiant to pressure, Dewester says he will keep selling the soap but he plans to do that somewhere else. He said he has decided to move his shop out of the Logan Village Mall in Noblesville. He maintains that he has a right to sell the controversial products.

Well, double damn! Look who’s getting “white girl wasted” for her 18th birthday. It’s none other than former Disney Princess, turned wild child Miley Cyrus.
Well technically this isn’t even a birthday celebration. TMZ is reporting this film was shot 5 days after the starlet’s birthday.
Are we witnessing the beginning of Lindsay Lohan part two?
I guess next we’ll be seeing footage of Miley stumbling out of night clubs, high as the clouds, although I’m not sure she can get much higher than she is in the video below.
No wait, she can and probably will be getting much, much higher in the future. All that Hannah Montana money might literally go up in smoke.
She’s gonna break her dad, Billy Ray’s “Achy Breaky Heart."
This chick is gone! And she can thank her great friends for leaking the footage.
With friends like these…………..

We’ve seen singer and reality tv star Ray-J, partying it up with the ladies on ‘For The Love of Ray J’ and his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian. But he has a much more serious side, and recently revealed in an interview with AllHipHop he has plans to run for the mayor of his hometown of Carson California.
“I’m gonna be the mayor of Carson - the mayor of Carson, California,” Ray said. “Not now, I still got a lot of learning to do, focusing, reaching back out to the community and paying my dues. But in the future, coming around the stretch I do see myself doing stuff like that.
I’m from Carson and I see the struggles that we’re going through in the community. And I know what I can do. And I know what kind of help I can be with that community. Not just with the press and everybody coming along to the ride. But what I would do is show young African American youth, or just young kids in general . To go aspire to be a mayor, or go aspire to be a lawyer or doctor. Because this hip hop sh*t and this music industry has got a lot of people clouded. And they think that’s the only way to go, or to put out a sex tape and be successful, that sh*t is wack.”
Some may hear what Ray is saying about not putting out a sex tape, and feel like he’s being hypocritical since his XXX flick with Kim K gained them both a lot of notoriety. But Brandy’s little brother wants people to learn from his mistakes, although he says he doesn’t regret making it.
“I don’t regret nothing I ever did. I just learned from the things I’ve done, and I know how to grow from it and learn how to use anything negative that happened in my life and turn that into a positive. That’s my only goals and wishes as a man. But as far as taking s*t back, I don’t do nothing again. I’m keeping it 100... I’m good.” Ray said.
What do you guys think about Ray-J's aspirations to one day be the mayor of Carson?

Prison is the last place anyone wants to end up. Some use their time wisely though, and come out a much better and focused individual than when they went in.
That's apparently what happened to Lil Wayne. According to Cash Money head honcho, Bryan "Baby" Williams, the world is about to witness a whole new Weezy on his future recordings.
"He brings a different swagger when he steps in the room. He is the definition of hard work. Doing time played a major part [in his rapping]. It gives us a different outlook as a team. He's rapping better than ever before -- it's magic. It's a different energy, its like we feel brand new again," Stunna told Boombox
Of course, this could be a bunch of hype from Stunna to get people excited about Wayne's upcoming album 'Tha Carter IV.' Birdman knows a thing or two about selling records. But it's possible, having his freedom taken away has lit a fire under Lil Wayne, who was already known to be a work-a-holic. Birdman certainly thinks so.
"Everybody knows Wayne's home so you know how this sh*t is going down. He's been gone and he's back so it just feels different but it's a good feeling. When I watch him work, it just feels like we just started this s---. That's always been our motivation anyway, to stay fresh," so says Stunna..
Expect a new single to drop for 'Tha Carter IV' within the next several weeks. The album is due 1st quarter of 2011.

Various media reports are saying that the Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin is battling pancreatic cancer.
Franklin underwent surgery last week, her rep told The Hollywood Reporter that it went well.
"The doctors said the surgery went well and that every one is praying for the best," the rep told THR without specifying her illness.
Pancreatic cancer claimed the lives of Patrick Swayze and Michael Landon, the survival rate from this form of cancer is low.
Dr. H. Leon Pachter, chairman of surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center told CBS News that the diagnosis is terrible news for Franklin. "It's a grim diagnosis, overall, the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer patients is 35 percent," Pachter said.
Despite the reports, those around the singer remain optimistic.
Her cousin Brenda Corbett told the Detroit Free Press that the 68-year old Franklin "was in good spirits" and "doing really good."
Although the cases are rare, some patients have responded well to treatment. Dr Pachter says, "an individual is not a statistic." He added that some of his patients have survived more than a decade.
Let's hope and pray for the best in this situation.
Philadelphia (CNN) -- It's pretty clear from his hard-hitting lyrics that Philadelphia rapper Freeway is no stranger to street life.
He lost a cousin and close friend to gun violence. He's also had his own run-ins with the law, having served jail time for drug possession.
His experiences haven't left him jaded, though. When the devout Muslim heard about a violent uprising at South Philadelphia High School last year, he got involved.
"I'm from where they're from," said Freeway, whose real name is Leslie Pridgen. "I can talk about those experiences [on the street], but I am a businessman now. I wouldn't take nothing back. It's shaped me as a man."
On December 3, 2009, as many as 30 Asian immigrant students were attacked throughout the school day, several of whom were sent to the hospital.
Since then, Freeway has been working with nonviolence campaigns at several high schools in Philadelphia. In October, he traveled around the city aboard MTV's "Get Schooled" bus with Grammy winner Common and Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry fame. The goal was to inspire students to stay in school and raise awareness about staggering dropout rates.
Freeway, along with his fellow Philadelphia rapper Young Chris, will be performing Thursday at South Philly High.
"Who better to talk than people who grew up in Philly and did something positive with life? I was subject to the same things they were," said Freeway, who originally signed with Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, and is now with Rhymesayers Entertainment.
"I'm going to speak from the heart, but it's up to them to make the choice."
Who better to talk than people who grew up in Philly and did something positive with life?
Young Chris, born Christopher Riesm, said he was also "shocked and disappointed" when he heard about last year's incident at South Philly High. He says he's participating in the rally to encourage the students to keep the momentum.
"Whether we want to believe it or not, they look at us as mentors," he said.
The event is part of the Project Succeed Campaign unveiled by state Rep. Kenyatta Johnson, D-Philadelphia, in October.
Event organizers wanted a concert for the student rally but had concerns about booking rap artists.
Rhymes laced with drug and gang references, and verses peppered with the "n-word," left them skeptical, according to Johnson's spokeswoman, Shalimar Blakely.
They voiced their concerns with the managers for Freeway and Young Chris, and Blakely said she was encouraged not to hold all the lyrics against the performers.
"They may speak about violence and their experience in the streets, but this is what these kids relate to," Blakely said. "The reality is violence is not the thing to do. And they're coming to tell them that."

Keri Hilson is out on the talk show circuit promoting her upcoming album 'No Boys Allowed.'
She made her way to the always entertaining Chelsea Lately Show yesterday, to talk about what she's been up to.
The singer revealed she has a few things in common with the Kardashian sisters, has some pretty good hoop skills, although she lost $16,000 in a pick up game against one of R. Kelly's friends.
She also talked about her recent collaboration with Sugarland at the VH1 Divas: Salute To The Troops show and why she wont date rappers.
"When you mix a man who has popularity, who has money, who has b*tches. That's a scary thing for me," Keri said. "I don't think it speaks to my insecurities. That's just not the type of man I want, and I think I'm not the type of girl they want. I have a brain, I'm a little more than they bargained for."
The I won't date rapper because "I have a brain" statement kind of seemed like a diss towards Chelsea, who has been romantically linked to 50 Cent.
Keri should choose her words more wisely during interviews.
