12348826675?profile=originalThe NAACP Image Awards are drawing criticism on the day it is going to air.

Kid Rock is set to receive the Detroit branch of the NAACP's Greater Expectations Award, but it's his use of the confederate flag that has people up in arms.

Political consultant Adolph Mongo is planning a boycott of the Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner May 1, where Kid Rock is set to get the award.

"It's a slap in the face for anyone who fought for civil rights in this country," Mongo says told the Detroit News. "It's a symbol of hatred and bigotry."

Rock has said in the past that the flag stands for rock and roll.

The award show is also being criticized for their choice of musical performers which include, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Diddy-Dirty Money.

Reverend Delman Coates, senior pastor of the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland is vocally lashing out at the choices.

"It is unconscionable that the NAACP would sully its brand, squander its legacy, and take such a stand contrary to the aspirations and dreams of the mainstream of the African-American community," said Coates. "While artists are free to produce their own art, it is not acceptable for public corporations and established civil right organizations to sanction the kinds of lyrics promoted by some of these artists," he continued. "These are the wrong images for a civil rights organization to nominate and endorse."

The show airs tonight on Fox at 8pm eastern.

During an interview with DDotOmen, Cardiak of Lloyd Banks “Start It Up” fame was asked about producing music for 50 Cent’s upcoming album, which he replied:

I actually have a joint on his next project called “Outlaw”, It’s crazy!

Not much revealed about the song, but the title alone should give you some input on the type of material you may hear on 50′s upcoming LP.

12348802453?profile=originalNow that Da Brat is out of prison, she's speaking about her love life behind bars.

The rapper says more than a few thuggish ruggish broads wanted to bump uglies , but she wasn't having it.

"Every female in prison wanted me ... all of them wish they could have gotten these goodies," she told TMZ.

Da Brat has also been quoted as saying that although Jermaine Dupri didn't visit her, he did put the most money on her. So did Katt Williams, Omar Epps and his wife, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, who also visited

The rapper still has her work cut out for her facing the next 3-6 months under house arrest and 7 years probation.

Last year while on work release she mentioned that when she got out she planned a media blitz with tv appearances and music. So expect to see a lot of Da Brat starting later this year moving forward.

Reporter Shomari Stone of Seattle tv station Komo4 was preparing to do a report in Victor Steinbrueck Park when a scuffle suddenly broke out.

Stone sprang into action and stopped a fight where one guy was raining down punches on another.

In an ironic twist of fate, the man Stone saved is said to be a white supremacist, with his arms covered in tattoos of swastikas.

"He thanked me and I said “remember to judge the man by his character and not the color of his skin," says Stone.

12348803472?profile=originalLil Wayne has been putting in work on his highly-anticipated album Tha Carter IV, but he’s got just as big a project on the horizon. Weezy recently addressed rumors of recording a full-length album with his protégé Drake, and that the rappers’ collaborative effort could hit stores by the end of the year.“That right there, that’s always been in the making,” Tunechi told MTV News’ Sway Calloway. “We’ve always been in the studio or we’ve always been having conversations about let’s do something together. Let’s do an album together.”The only conflict would be that Wayne has a few other projects he would have to knock out first. “I’ve had ideas to do an album with T-Pain. We’ve got the T-Wayne situation going, so Drake’s a very respectable dude. He’s like, ‘I don’t want to disrespect none of those situations, so I’m just going to wait ’til you have a real good moment to focus on you and I doing an album,’” he explained. “And then you know my obligations to the Like Father, Like Son albums with Stunna. It’s like no disrespect to those. I don’t want to clash with nothing.”While the Young Money boss is high in demand for guest verses while recording Tha Carter IV, his collabo with Drake could come later this year. “I want it to be a year when [we] actually have a moment and we can do it. It’s coming up. Probably the end of the year if we work hard at it,” he said.Additionally, the hip-hop martian revealed that three or four songs intended for last year’s I Am Not a Human Being may end up on TC4, and the rest will be fresh material. “I kept like, if any, about three or four songs. Everything else is brand new,” he shared. “It’s soon. Once you start shooting the video, that means it’s ready.”

Video After The Jump

Not everyone hangs on Lil Wayne's every lyric, thinking he is the best rapper ever.

Watoto From The Nile's song "Letter to Lil Wayne" is deep and moving.

Written and rapped from the perspective of little girls. The song talks about the confusion felt by children when they hear stars like Weezy say things that go against the things they are taught at home and in school.

"Letter to Lil Wayne" is a direct statement of justice from Watoto From The Nile. Growing tired and fed up with the constant degredation of Black women inside of Hip Hop music, they voice thier views and opinions on this melodic track

Check it out below, it will really make you think.

12348823088?profile=originalNicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" album continues to amaze two months after it's release.

It now claims the record for most consecutive weeks in the top ten by a female rap album in Billboard album chart with fourteen and counting.

Of course Nicki was more than happy to tweet the good news to her followers.

No doubt people are getting their laugh on watching Charlie Sheen on television the last several days.

By far this is the funniest Charlie Sheen spoof I've seen yet.

Seems like Cash Money took an awfully long time to put this out.

The fact is the video is makes up for it. Borrowing the theme from the movie Inception was a nice touch.

Cory Gunz get's his first real taste of major corporation exposure, and as a whole this looks like they spent a few dollars on it.

So yeah, dope song and vid, check it below.

When Waka Flocka brought his show to King Cat Theater in Seattle last Friday (February 26), it was a high energy gangster party.

Casey Carter caught up with the 1017 Brick Squad member after the show to talk about him being left off the 2011 XXL Freshman list and whether or not he thought he was skipped.

"Nah I didn't get skipped, I came in a veteran. They came in a freshman , I came in a veteran. Aint nobody on that list can f*ck with me," Waka said.

The class included Big K.R.I.T, CyHi Da Prynce, Diggy Simmons, FRED DA GODSON, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Twist, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, Yelawolf and YG

He also talked about how he and PETA linked up. The rapper says he doesn't own fur and shares the same beliefs as PETA.
