A Roc-A-Fella reunion concert took place a couple of nights ago at Gramercy Theater in New York. The sold out crowd witnessed performances by Young Chris, Neef Buck, Peedi Crakk and Memphis Bleek.

Unfortunately Jay-Z and Sparks didn't make it, and Beanie Sigel and Oschino are doing bids, but it was a great event nonetheless.

Frank Ocean – Wiseman

12349733080?profile=original

Odd Future singer Frank Ocean decided to release this new song titled "Wiseman." The track was supposed to be on the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's new movie Django Unchained, but didn't make the cut.

Tarantino explained the song's omission to Pitchfork.

"Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn't a scene for it. I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that's not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn't want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they'll realize it then."

Video After The Jump

America has seen a rash of mass shootings in places such as Newtown, Connecticut, Aurora, California, Virginia Tech, the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and Columbine High School.

Celebrities across the country like Carmelo Anthony, Beyonce, John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Aniston, Conan O'Brien, Sarah Silverman, Olivia Munn and more have teamed up with http://www.demandaplan.org/ seeking a change in America's gun policies.

Tt’s time. Join more than 750 mayors and 750,000 grassroots supporters to demand that President Obama and Congress step forward with a plan to end gun violence.

Our efforts cannot bring back the 20 innocent children murdered in Newtown, CT -- or the 34 people murdered with guns every day in America. But we can prevent future tragedies by passing common sense legislation that will:

1. Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America
2. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
3. Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers”

Nas is facing a possible new financial hurdle after being sued by a concert promoter who was kidnapped in December 2011 after the rapper failed to show for a concert in Angola.

As we previously reported51-year old Patrick Allocco, CEO of AllGood Concerts and his 22-year old son, also named Patrick were kidnapped by local Angola promoter Henrique "Riquhino" Miguel after Nas was paid $300,000 for a New Year's Eve concert, then failed to show.

The Allocco's passports were taken away and they were forced to stay at a hotel until Nas repaid the money he received.

Nas eventually returned the funds and the father and son were allowed to return back to the United States in February 2012.

TMZ is reporting that the elder Patrick Allocco filed a $10 million federal lawsuit against Nas on Friday. Allocco claims that while being held for 50 days he was beaten and constantly threatened.

Allocco also claims that because he was held so long he was unable to business, and as a result lost his home and his company.

The tension between Meek Mill and Cassidy seems to have reached a boiling point. The two well respected Philadelphia rappers have been going back and forth on Twitter for a couple of months now.

A proposed battle between the two was supposed to take place, but Meek decided Cassidy wasn't "hot enough" and said there would be no battle.

Cassidy then released "Diary of a Hustler," a song that widely perceived as a Meek diss. Cassidy later went on The Breakfast Club and denied that was the case.

12349740881?profile=original

Last night things heated up again when Cassidy dropped the Meek Mill diss track "Me, Myself & iPhone." In the song he said Meek released "I'm a Boss" because he was riding Rick Ross' coattails and that all of his songs sound the same.

Meek responded on Twitter by saying Cassidy possibly snitched on his co-defendant in his 2006 murder trial by taking a plea deal, was locked up in protective custody and challenged Cassidy to battle him today, Saturday December 22.

12349741289?profile=original

Cassidy responded by saying he was only in protective custody a short amount of time and he has already given Meek plenty of time to accept a battle.

"They automatically put U on PC when U famous & in the newspaper. But I had pull.. So I got off after the 1st month, did 7 1/2 in population..FOH," Cass wrote.

Will there ever be a battle between these two? Hopefully so, then maybe they can shake hands and squash the beef.

Video After The Jump

Talib Kweli stopped by Sway In the Morning recently to spit a freestyle and discuss a wide variety of subjects. The Brooklyn emcee talked about Kanye West's influence on the rap game.

"What I like about Kanye and what he's done for artists like Drake and Big Sean and Lupe [Fiasco] and other artists that you hear in the mainstream that's not always busting their gun or popping bottles. They do that every once in a while. When they do do it you sometimes don't even believe them. It's like when you hear that type of stuff I like it. I like seeing the different influences in the mainstream. I like hearing Drake being emotional. People make fun of his raps for being emotional, but I think we need to hear more of that. I like Big Sean playing with the cadences and playing with flows. And going off the wall with it and trying different things," Talib said.

Talib also clears up rumors that he and Mos Def have split up. He says Blackstar is still intact and still do a lot of shows together.
