Naijiel Hale is now officially a Husky after signing a scholarship to play football for the University of Washinton on Wednesday (February 5)
Hale, the son of the late, great West Coast singer Nate Dogg is rated as a four-star cornerback recruit. He previously starred at St. John Bosco High School in Lakewood, California.
"It just seemed like a great fit for me. I felt like it was better than any other off that I had," he told College Level Athletes.
Hale received offers from 10 school, including Arizona, Nebraska, Oregon, Boise State, USC and UCLA.

He told TMZ that his dad would have been happy to see his accomplishments.
"My mom is extremely proud and my dad would be proud too. I can't wait to be a dawg!"

The Taliban in Afghanistan are parading an American hostage in front of cameras and celebrating the capture.
“Allah gave victory to the mujahideen!” one of the fighters exclaims. “Down with them, down with their spies!”
The prisoner is a Belgian Malinois.canine. The Taliban claim it is a military colonel. This particular breed is a favorite of the U.S. military. They can be trained to sniff out explosives and drugs. They are also trained to parachute and rappel with their handlers.
Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, told the Washington Post the canine was captured after a firefight with American soldiers.
“The mujahideen valorously put tough resistance against the troops for hours. The dog was of high significance to the Americans."
According to Mujahid, the dog was wearing sophisticated electronic devices.
The Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Intelligence Group tracks the online activity of terrorist organizations. They found the Taliban footage on a Twitter account used for propaganda. SITE's founder, Rita Katz, said she's never seen anything like it.
“I don’t remember seeing a dog used as a hostage."

The NBA has lined up some heavy hitters for entertainment at this year's All-Star Weekend. According to Billboard, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gray Clarke Jr., Dr. John, Trombone Shorty and Serena Ryder are confirmed to appear.
Pharrell will take part in the player introductions. Kendrick will liven things up during the Sprite Slam Dunk contest.
Clark Jr. and Serena Ryder will perform the U.S. national anthem and Canadian national anthem respectively at the All-Star game.
The halftime show will feature performances from Monae, Dr, John, Trombone Shorty, Earth, Wind and Fire and Clark Jr.
The festivities kick off Friday, February 14, in New Orleans with the Celebrity game and continue through February 16.
