President Obama welcomed "women of soul" Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott, Melissa Etheridge, Ariana Grande and and Tessanne Chin to the White House for a concert on Thursday (March 6).
The show was live streamed at WhiteHouse.gov/live. It will be shown in it's entirety on PBS's "In Concert at the White House" special on April 7.
Here's some footage of 20-year old Ariana singing “Tattooed Heart,” "Proud Mary" with assistance from Franklin, LaBelle, Scott, Chin and Monae and a great cover of Whitney Houston's classic song "I Have Nothing."
