Troy Ave appeared in a New York courtroom Friday, July 1, with his attorney John Stella for a bail hearing.
A financial package was presented to the District Attorney, who is reviewing the documents.
"We'll hopefully get him out next week. We turned over a bunch of financial documents and the D.A. is considering it," Stella told ITSAGTV. "They need more time to go through their process. She has to go through some layers of supervisors to get approval."
A bigger problem for Troy's legal team is a lack of cooperation from witnesses who were backstage atT.I.'sIrving Plaza concert in New York City, when someone began shooting on the night of May 25.
As we previously reported, NYPD detectives believe the BSB Records boss was involved in a fight with another individual or individuals prior to surveillance footage that shows him emerging from the green room firing a gun.
The theory is that both Troy, real name Roland Collins, and his friend Ronald "BSB Banga" McPhatter were shot during the scuffle.
Ronald McPhatter was killed during a May 25 shooting at Irving Plaza in New York City
McPhatter died from a stomach wound and Troy suffered gunshots to both legs.
Two other individuals were also shot.
Thus far, only Troy has been arrested. Stella believes he knows the reason why.
"There's a difference between the ability to arrest someone, and hold them and charge them," Stella said. "The bottom line is that they are without a witness. There's a cultural apprehension to snitching on someone else. It's a long game here. And we're hopeful that when push comes to shove down the road, that we're going to be able to hear exactly what happened inside of that green room."
Last Kings boss, Tyga, flew out to Jamaica to film the official music video for his new single titled "1 of 1." The clips stars the lovely Amina Blue. Directed by Shomi Patwary.
(USA Today) Veteran NBA guard O.J. Mayo has been dismissed and disqualified from the league for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program, the league announced Friday afternoon.
Under the Anti-Drug Program, Mayo is eligible to apply for reinstatement in two years.
No further details regarding his dismissal were provided. Per league rules, the NBA, NBA teams and the Players Association aren't allowed to publicly disclose information regarding the Anti-Drug program, other than to announce a player's suspension or league dismissal.
However, the NBA's collective bargaining agreement — which is a public document — lists the following "drugs of abuse" as prohibited substances: amphetamines and its analogs, cocaine, LSD, opiates (heroin, codeine and morphine), and PCP.
According to the CBA's penalties, a player who tests positive for drugs of abuse will be dismissed and disqualified from the league. The length of the dismissal and disqualification (two years) is mandatory, and "may not be rescinded or reduced by the player’s team or NBA.”
However, according to the CBA, reinstatement isn't guaranteed.
“Reinstatement shall be granted only with the prior approval of both the NBA and the Players Association, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. The approval of the NBA and the Players Association shall rest in their absolute and sole discretion, and their decision shall be final, binding, and unappealable."
When determining whether or not to grant reinstatement, the NBA and the NBPA consider (without limitation):
"The circumstances surrounding the player’s dismissal and disqualification; whether the player has satisfactorily completed a treatment and rehabilitation program; the player’s conduct since his dismissal, including the extent to which the player has since comported himself as a suitable role model for youth; and whether the player is judged to possess the requisite qualities of good character and morality.”
Memphis Grizzlies power forward Chris Andersen was the last player to receive a ban from the NBA for using drugs of abuse in 2006. He returned to the league in March of 2008.
Mayo — who spent the past three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks — averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 assists in 41 games last season. He was selected with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2008 draft, and has career averages of 13.8 points and 2.9 assists.
He is 28 years old and will be eligible for reinstatement before the 2019-20 NBA season.

Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz has become an outspoken critic of what he sees an an agenda by television networks to make homosexuality more acceptable.
"They're trying to make everybody fucking gay," he told VladTV in a recent interview. "That's what I think. They're putting it on our culture. Gay stuff is everywhere. And I think they're just trying to do it to make a monetary gain. They're not doing it for the gays. They're not really fans of the gays. They're doing it for monetary gain, man. They trying to make money off these people."
Boosie is especially upset at cartoons that have gay themes or characters. He believes kids are being influenced by what they're watching.
"You have cartoons that have gays," he continued. "These are kids. Let kids make their own decision if they wanna go that way. 6 and 7-year olds, 5-year olds shouldn't be turned onto gay cartoons. When they're mind not even developed yet. What if they like how that cartoon talk? Now you're forcing them to be gay. It wasn't like that when I was coming up. The Ninja Turtles wasn't kissing. They didn't have two men on The Flinstones kissing. The Jetsons wasn't kissing. In 10 years you're gonna have half the population gay because of what they put on TV."

34-year old actor Jesse Williams, star of ABC's television drama "Grey's Anatomy" was given the 2016 BET Humanitarian Award on Sunday, June 26.
The youngest member on the Board of Directors at The Advancement Project, a multi-racial civil rights organization, gave a rousing speech about uplifting black women and demanded equal rights for African Americans.
"What we've been doing is looking at the data and we know that police somehow manage to de-escalate, disarm and not kill white people every day," Williams told the audience. "So, what's gonna happen is we're gonna have equal rights and justice in our own country or we will restructure their function and ours.
Yesterday, would have been young Tamir Rice's 14th birthday," he continued. "So, I don't wanna hear any more about how far we've come when paid public servants can pull a drive-by on a 12-year old playing alone in a park in broad daylight. Killing him on television, then going home to make a sandwich."
Republican trouble starter,Stacey Dash, has somehow managed to smear Williams' speech in her latestPatheos blog.
"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: BET is keeping racism and segregation alive and this past Sunday’s awards show proves it.." Dash wrote. "Particularly the speech given by Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, whose tirade after receiving the 2016 BET Humanitarian Award for his black activism was nothing short of an attack on white people. What he said was straight out of the Black Lives Matter playbook, reminding the audience that police do “not kill white people” and in fact, prefer pulling “a drive by on a 12-year-old kid [Tamir Rice] and then going home to make a sandwich.”
"You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave!" she charged. "Sorry, Mr Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your talking about. Just spewing hate and anger. Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom YOU DONT NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED. GET over yourself and get on with it! That chip on the shoulders of people like you will weigh you down and keep you from flying free. But true freedom is never free. You have to know how to fly. If anyone is making you feel this way its you. Living in a psychological prison of your own making. If anyone is GHETTO-IZING anyone, it’s people like you letting the BETs and other media outlets portray us in stereotypes. "
What are your thoughts on Williams' speech and Dash's comments?

Iggy Azalea is spilling all of the ugly details via social media about why she really called off her engagement to Nick Young.
As we previously reported, the 26-year old rapper ended her relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers basketball player earlier this month, citing trust issues.
“Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried to rebuild my trust in him – It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to,” she captioned an Instagram post. “I genuinely wish Nick the best. It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned you’re [sic] entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page.”
It was generally assumed the break up was a result of a leaked video recorded by Young's teammate D'Angelo Young, in which he admitted to cheating on his former fiancee in the past.
hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro.
On Thursday, June 30, the "Fancy" hit maker took to Twitter to announce that she caught Young on camera at their home with another woman.
"I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on the security footage," she wrote. "This is just like a second shot to the chest. And I feel like I don't even know who the hell it is I've been loving all this time. People in this world really are fucked up."
E! News reported that Young's ex-girlfriend and baby's mom, Keonna Green, is four months pregnant with another child after a one night stand with her ex.
"I have never even been told by nick that his baby mother is pregnant so if this is true I'm finding out via E news," Iggy confessed.
