Video After The Jump

(Los Angeles Times) Following a bizarre, hours-long standoff, L.A. police officers took Chris Brown into custody late Tuesday afternoon and said the singer would be arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Lt. Chris Ramirez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said officers were transporting Brown from his Tarzana home to downtown L.A., where he would be formally booked.

Police began searching Brown’s sprawling property as they hunted for a weapon the performer is said to have used to threaten a woman.

Chris Brown's Tarzana home

Shortly before 1 p.m., officers entered the residence after taking much of the morning to obtain a search warrant. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, was on the scene as L.A. Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division detectives searched the property.

At least half a dozen people exited the home, a few of them holding their hands behind their heads as police patted them down.

“We’re getting the cooperation of everyone that came out,” Ramirez said, after informing reporters that officers had served a search warrant.

Once all of the occupants are removed from the residence, they will be interviewed to determine what occurred, Ramirez said.

Geragos told The Times that he was inside the home with Brown, who denies any wrongdoing. The warrant was served shortly after Geragos arrived.

Deputy Chief Bob Green had described the standoff between Brown and officers as “long and protracted.”

The search was sparked by a call for help from a woman who said she had been threatened by the performer, police sources said, with officers first arriving at Brown’s home in the 5000 block of Corbin Avenue about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The woman, Baylee Curran, told The Times that Brown, who has had several previous run-ins with the law, pointed a gun at her during a violent rage before she ran outside to call police.

Curran said she and a friend had gone to Brown’s home with a business associate, who was invited by the musician. She wanted to talk to Brown about future projects, she said.

When she went inside, a handful of people were milling about and chatting, Curran said.

Curran said she eventually went to Brown’s backyard to get some fresh air. Her confrontation with the musician erupted soon after she walked back into the house, she said.

Baylee Curran

A man was showcasing diamond bracelets, necklaces and watches inside the home, she said. Curran said she began to admire a diamond cross necklace.

“I don’t know if it was Chris’ friend or how he was related, but that’s when he told me to back away from the diamond necklace and started cussing me out and calling me names,” she said. “That’s when Chris pulled his gun and told me to ‘Get out.’ He said ‘I’m sick of you girls, get the F out!’”

Curran said she ran outside with her friend when Brown pointed the gun at her face. But she was forced to wait by the home’s front gate until Brown’s associates retrieved her phone — which she had to hand over as a condition of going inside the home, she said. When an associate arrived with Curran’s phone, he said he’d only give it back to her if she signed a non-disclosure agreement, she said.

Curran said she refused, snatched her phone from the man’s hand and ran away. The man ran to a Jeep to give chase, but Curran and her friend made it to a neighbor’s property and hid under an SUV parked outside when the Jeep drove by, Curran said. Brown’s neighbor called police.

On Tuesday, officers attempted to enter the home and were told to get a search warrant, the police sources said. Detectives then waited for a warrant to search Brown's home for the weapon.

Meanwhile, Brown took to his Instagram account Tuesday morning, sharing videos in which he railed against the police and media and said he was being unfairly portrayed as a villain.

In the videos, he said he woke up to helicopters overhead and officers at his gate, and maintained that he was not guilty of the accusations.

“Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots,” he said in one video. “I’m tired of ... dealing with y’all.”

Because of the high-profile nature of the case, the investigation is being handled by the Robbery-Homicide Division.

Prior incidents at the residence include a home-invasion robbery and multiple complaints about Brown and his friends riding all-terrain vehicles loudly up and down the street.

Brown spent six years on probation after pleading guilty to attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. His probation was lifted in March 2015.

The Grammy Award-winning singer completed about 1,000 hours of community service. He was also ordered to attend anti-domestic-violence classes.

Brown also faced charges in connection with driving without a license and accusations of a hit-and-run. In May 2014, he admitted to violating his probation after committing an assault outside a Washington hotel.

12352323079?profile=original

More recently, in June, Brown’s former manager, Michael Guirguis, known as “Mike G,” filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleging the singer attacked him.

Brown punched Guirguis four times in the face and neck in an incident May 10, according to the complaint.

“The assault was unprovoked and, regrettably, just another attack in Brown’s long history of violent and abusive behavior,” the complaint states.

“Clearly, thus far, such extreme consequences, such as the loss of his career, court-mandated rehabilitation, and even jail time, have not deterred Brown’s conduct,” the complaint states. “Perhaps, this time, the imposition of punitive damages for his despicable and unforgivable conduct will.”

Staff writers Joseph Serna and Matt Hamilton contributed to this report.

With samples always being around recently Ricco Barrino, has turned them into new school anthems. Donning himself as the “Rick Ross of R&B”, Barrino has defiantly made boss records for artist Colonel Loud & T. Neal (“California & “Come To The Money” respectively).

But “Ferrari Infidelity” is bringing Ricco back to his roots as a pure singer, serenading to the ladies that have to endure his fast pace lifestyle since his recent success. “FI” is sure to bring fans that know Barrino, on a speeding journey through the nightlife after the club closes. With records like “FaceTime” (produced by EverybodyKnowStroud) that amplifies casual foreplay to “Vibe” featuring Tigo B (produced by Laphelle) the exact opposite of wanting to partake in sexual activites, this EP will defiantly stand out.

With the fast lifestyle of a rising artist combined with the temptation of so many beautiful ladies (hence Ferrari Infidelity), this EP is sure to exceed that of his 2014 release “From the Club to the Crib”. Strap up ladies!

Make sure to head on over to livemixtapes to download this EP.

We wanted to push the barrier,to own it." She continues, "You can say mean things about me, but it doesn't matter, we're still gonna do us ... So what if I was a stripper?"

Baylee Curran claims Chris Brown pointed a gun at her

Video After The Jump

The woman claiming Chris Brown brandished a gun while kicking her out of his Tarzana, California mansion this morning is a 2016 Miss California Regional beauty pageant winner named Baylee Curran.

She gave an interview to TMZ Live a short while ago, explaining her side of the story.

According to Curran, she was partying at the home when she spotted a man selling diamond watches and necklaces.

She says she touched one of the necklaces and was approached by an "African American" man with "dreadlocks" who told her that she was a "whore," not to touch the jewelry and to "go back outside."

12352330893?profile=original

At that point Brown allegedly approached, pointed a gun at her and told her to, "Get the fuck out."

As Curran was leaving someone from Brown's team tried to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but she refused.

She placed a call to the police shortly afterwards.

Curren changed her story slightly in an Instagram video she posted. In it, she said that Brown put the gun to her head.

12351396677?profile=original

Ray J was at Brown's home at the time of the incident. He posted an Instagram video saying the entire thing is nonsense.

"I'm real upset about today," Ray said. "I'm not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be."

J-Dutch

Anxious $oul

VIEW ON YOUTUBE

Joshua Means (J-Dutch), born September 16th, 1987 in Tampa, Florida rose to the occasion in 2011 When he released his debut single “Yayo”. “Yayo” gained recognition around the city of Tampa and gave J-Dutch a semi buzz or base of fans.

The fans were shocked at how vivid he could paint a picture and visually take you through the experience as if you the fan was there. Unfortunately “Yayo” could only go so far finding out that the production on the track was purchased by ESPN. Back to the drawing board J-Dutch went.

J-Dutch is known for originality, charisma and rebellion. His music touches on modern topics and also his experiences in life. J-Dutch is mentioned to also have his share of terrible business decisions as he has wasted 8-10 years in management contracts with people of who he said were “pump fakers”.

J-Dutch then continued to create later on releasing “The Material” and “So Much Bigger”. J-Dutch musical background started at age 9 when he first touched a piano. He learned the piano by the local church pianist by the name of Larry Brooks. After seeing Larry Brooks put together an independent gospel album J-Dutch felt that he could make his own music also.

J-Dutch goes on learning the drums, flute, xylophone and violin. In the mist of learning those instruments J-Dutch also learned how to write songs. Day and night he studied song structure and music literature. By the time J-Dutch turns 11 he discovers how to digitally make beats online without actually having to play those instrumentals physically.

Although East Tampa was not a place for kids his age, J-Dutch took what was going on around him and would write to the instrumentals of his creation.

Leading up to now, J-Dutch is releasing a new project by the name of “Anxious $oul”.
This project is produced and written by him.

When cops arrived the couldn't enter the security gate nobody would buzz them in. Swat was called as a precaution.

When Ray J left the home he was handcuffed by police. After detaining him briefly he was let go, but his car was kept as evidence.

Meanwhile, Brown has posted several Instagram videos saying he's done nothing wrong and was asleep at the time of the alleged incident.

"I just wake up [and] all these motherfucking helicopters is around. Police out there at the gate," Chris said in one of the videos. "What the fuck else do y'all want from me? I stay out of the way, take care of my daughter [and] do work. Every three months y'all come up with something. At the same time, when I call the police for stalker people that are threatening my life they don't come 'til the next say. Let somebody make a fucked up allegation about me and oh yeah, the whole Swat team. I'm innocent, fuck everybody."

"I'm tired of this shit. Barricaded myself in my house?" he continued. "Have you seen my house? I'ma barricade myself in a palace? I ain't coming out ... for what? I ain't did shit, ain't gon' do shit, and it's always gonna be fuck the police. Black live matter, nigga. I don't care, y'all gon' stop playing with me like I'm the villain out here -- like I'm going crazy, I'm not. You guys got me fucked up though. Good luck. When you get the warrant, whatever you need to do you gon' walk right up in here and you gon' see nothing, you idiots. I'm tired of fucking dealing with y'all. Y'all the worst gang in the world, the police. And I said it, fuck you!"

According to TMZ, Chris later threw a duffel bag out of his window of his home and told the police, "Come and get me."

Cops claim they found a gun, other weapons and drugs in the bag.

Pics After The Jump

Siblings Jaden and Willow Smith land on the cover of Interview Magazine.

The offspring of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith were interviewed by Pharrell Williams and photographed by Steven Klein.

The two discuss what it's like being raised by superstar parents, social media, the disconnect between them and the older generation, music plus more.

Check out an excerpt below then head over to interview to read the entire conversation.

PHARRELL WILLIAMS: So, what's up, guys? What's on your mind, Willow?

WILLOW SMITH: This morning actually was pretty intense because I was thinking about the world and my place in the world, things that I have made or want to make. I was thinking about all the things that I could do that I don't do. But, you know, I was just thinking about the world and everything.

PHARRELL: Well, you guys are the future. There's an older generation that feels like they know what the future should be. And then there's your generation that may have an idea of what the future should be, but that could evolve. How old are you now?

WILLOW: I'm 15.

JADEN SMITH: I actually just turned 18 last Friday.

PHARRELL: Happy belated!

JADEN: Thank you.

PHARRELL: Do you guys ever feel any generational divide when you have a conversation with older folks?

WILLOW: Oh, definitely. It seems like they don't understand our thought process. Or, like, things have happened in the past that they're still mad about. We want to accept them and move forward. I mean, I can definitely see things that have happened in the past that they're holding on to and things that are happening right now that bog them down, but this generation wants to transcend them.

PHARRELL: It would be cool if they would remember when they were teenagers what the generational divide was then. Except that the generational divide is much more blunt at this time. You guys grew up online. Part of your life is on social media. And when they look at it as just something to do, they don't realize that they also essentially live online. They don't realize that their phone has replaced their wallet.

WILLOW: Yep. I know so many kids who literally are, like, Instagram-famous. They have done nothing but post pictures on Instagram. And they have followings. People love to see them in person, but it's only because they post on their Instagram. It's literally crazy. Kids will paint a picture of themselves that is so far beyond who they actually are. It's like they're wearing someone else's skin.

PHARRELL: I love that there are pros and cons to all of it. I feel like your generation understands that. Some of them abuse it. And some just purely use it.

WILLOW: And then there's people, like me and Jaden, who want to utilize social media to elevate the consciousness of those people who feel like all they want from social media is to be famous. [laughs] Like, you can actually be a voice. You can actually say something that's inspiring and not just make people feel like you need to buy things and be a certain way.

JADEN: It's good to be happy and tell us how cool your life is and how awesome you are on social media. That's great because it inspires other people to be happy, too. But a lot of times, people are trying to be happy in the wrong ways—with money or with different things that are not true happiness. It's leading people down a rabbit hole that actually doesn't exist. So people think like, "Yo, once I get this money and these cars and stuff, I'ma be so happy." But that's not true. And I feel like that's why it's very important to educate people on different things while you are actually on social media.

PHARRELL: I love it. The positive path and the trajectory that you guys are on, where does that come from? Who are your biggest inspirations?

WILLOW: My parents. Growing up, all I saw was my parents trying to be the best people they could be, and people coming to them for wisdom, coming to them for guidance, and them not putting themselves on a pedestal, but literally being face-to-face with these people and saying, "I'm no better than you, but the fact that you're coming to me to reach some sort of enlightenment or to shine a light on something, that makes me feel love and gratitude for you." They always give back what people give to them. And sometimes they keep giving and giving and giving. And some people don't feel like they need to give anything back because it's like, "Oh, if you're famous, you can just keep giving, and it doesn't matter." It's not just about money. It's not just about giving people gifts or whatever. What my parents have given to me is not anything that has to do with money or success or anything that society says people should be focusing on—it's something spiritual that only certain people can grasp and accept. And that's how I act and move in the world today.

JADEN: I 100 percent agree with Willow on that one. My parents are definitely my biggest role models. And that's where me and Willow both pull all of our inspiration from to change the world. It all comes from a concept of affecting the world in a positive way and leaving it better than it was than when we came. I feel like that enters into all types of different areas because there are so many different outlets that life has to offer for us. That goes into technology, into music. That goes into science, into spirituality, into education. Where me and Willow come from, a lot of it is trying to make society more efficient, so that kids don't cry, like, "Why do I have to go to school?" Instead, kids are like, "Yeah! I'm so glad to go to school! I'm a better person than I was yesterday, and I can help people."

WILLOW: Exactly!

JADEN: That's we're trying to get to. Where every kid goes to school, and like 50 percent of children don't drop out. Where they feel like their teachers are actually on their side. Or they feel like law enforcement is actually on their side. We want to create a society that is working for us and with us—and we're working for society, not against it.

PHARRELL: It's beautiful that you guys are in such lockstep. Willow, you once said that you felt like the two of you were almost like identical twins, like you could finish each other's thoughts. Were you guys always that close?

WILLOW: Yeah. It's crazy, the sibling dynamic. I could've spent my entire childhood like, "I have to love this person." And it becomes a chore. But our parents were never like, "You have to love them." It was more like, "You have your life. He has his life. And when you guys want to come together, when you guys want to commune, that's up to you." And throughout us realizing ourselves and realizing each other, we just opened our eyes and were like, "Damn, you are the yin to my yang." Not a lot of siblings have that opportunity, because they're always being pushed together so much. They need their time apart in order to realize themselves and realize who they are.

PHARRELL: Has there ever been, like, some love-based competition?

JADEN: We never really felt competitive because Willow's always been better than me at everything. There's been no competition.

WILLOW: [laughs] Pharrell, that is so not true.

JADEN: Willow started making music first. I was like, "My younger sister is, like, 4, and she's making all these fire songs. What's happening?" Willow was doing all these things, about to have record label deals at like the age of 6, and I was like, "I feel like I'm underachieving." That was around the time that I was doing Karate Kid, and I could do flips, and I thought I was special because I could do flips. But Willow could do the flips, too! Willow naturally had it. Like, I was trying to do no-handed cartwheels. Willow had it. I was trying to get to the studio. Willow was in the studio. You know what I'm saying? Willow just didn't have as big as a passion for acting as me. But if she did, she could do what I did. So there's always been competition, but we've always worked as hard as possible to do the things that we want to do. We never got upset because we could always do the same thing. It happened so that me and Willow were able to go through every level or different section of life that we wanted to. If we wanted to act, we could act. If we wanted to dance, we were dancing. And we could do it on the level that we wanted to do it. So there was no, like, "I'm mad at you." Well, we would get mad at each other when we were young, but that stopped when we were, like, 9.
