Earlier this month Kanye West's company, Very Good Touring, sued Lloyds of London for $9.8 million, accusing the insurance company of failing to honor it's agreement to cover money lost on his cancelled 2016 "Saint Pablo Tour."

West pulled the plug on the rest of the trek after suffering a mental breakdown in November. He subsequently spent eight days at UCLA Medical Center.

TMZ reports that Lloyds has filed a countersuit.

In court documents the company claims prescription and illegal drug use were the cause of West's breakdown, which triggered a clause in the policy referring to substance abuse.

In addition, Lloyds says West refused to turn over information it needed to make a determination on whether or not to cover financial losses from the cancelled dates.

Lloyds is asking a judge to rule that it doesn't owe West any money.

West's attorney, Howard King, responded to the countersuit by telling TMZ that it "is the same generic response Lloyd's files when they don't want to honor a legitimate claim but can't find a factual basis to deny the claim."

Lord D'Andre $mith is a rising hip-hop artist/producer from the small town of Dublin, Georgia. His style of music is very creative and usually consists of smooth 808 infused instrumentals laced with melodic vocals full of fun, lyrical wordplay. Lord's latest single, "Recipe" greatly fits that description. The self-produced track is definitely a fan favorite and it certainly proves that Lord has a lot of potential.

Brooklyn spitter K. Gaines and producer Maxwell Benson inks new deal with Priority/Captiol Records on highly anticipated EP “Ticket to Elsewhere.”  The EP serves as a puzzle piece in a much broader arch of works K. Gaines plans to release over the course of 2017/2018 including subsequent EPs. Each installment will showcase musical styles from distinct regions of the US with feature producers from each region.

Ticket To Elsewhere will push the envelope in hip hop over the course of seven tracks. From the socio - politically charged jungle ruckus of “Riot Gear” to the clever tales of “Glass Ceilings” (featuring Sebastian Marciano from Stereo Off) and major feature with Ras Kass. Ticket To Elsewhere also features work by up and coming Los Angeles visual artist Reef Kills. The artwork for each EP in the series, will form a more intricate visual piece with all the purpose and intention of a map.

“What we have is a beautiful conceptual arc,” muses K. Gaines. “When we blend our sounds, subject matter, and flows, what we are giving you is a ticket to somewhere else. Each EP is a puzzle piece to a different region. ” Benson adds, “We’re not chasing the crowd with this one, it’s an art piece. Not everybody’s gonna get where we‘re going, but we can leave a map in case they want to catch up.”

A 25-year old man who had been diagnosed with throat cancer murdered the friend that introduced him to cigarettes.

The Hindustatin Times reports that upon learning of the diagnosis, Mustakeem Ahmad, became so enraged he purchased a gun, practiced shooting so he wouldn't miss his target and shot dead the victim, 25-year old Inayat, at the restaurant where the two had worked together as chefs in West Delhi.

Ahmad was also upset that Inayat was performing better on the job.

“Though Ahmad and Inayat were friends at the workplace, Inayat was reportedly better at his job and well-behaved and soon became the favorite of the restaurant owner,” police told the Hindustatin Times.

Ahmad was eventually fired from the job. He decided he would either get Inayat fired or kill him.

On Thursday, August 24, he returned to the restaurant to carry out his plan.

“He was carrying his loaded pistol to the restaurant. Ahmad had planned to kill Inayat if he failed to get him fired from the job. That is what eventually happened. Ahmad ended up picking a fight with Inayat. He later shot at him in the middle of the argument,” said an investigator.

Ahmad fled the scene, but was later captured by police.
