ARANSAS PASS, Texas (AP) — A South Texas teen who said he killed his family & posted graphic images of their bodies on social media killed himself after officers found him at his home.

The Aransas Pass police & San Patricio County sheriff’s office say they started investigating after being alerted to the images on social media. They say the teen, identified as 15-year-old William Quince Colburn III, had also threatened to continue the violence at a school.

Law enforcement agencies late Wednesday night tracked the teen to a recreational vehicle park near Aransas Pass. Officers asked him to step outside of his motor home, but he refused. Officers then heard a single gunshot and the sound of a person falling to the ground.

When officers entered the recreational vehicle they found the teen dead from a gunshot wound, along with the bodies of 3 other people & 2 dogs.

San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera said the other 3 people also had been shot to death. He identified them as: William Colburn Jr., 63; Janna Colburn, 53; & Emma Colburn, 13.

Rivera said William Quince Colburn III & the & others found slain in the RV were related, but he did not yet know specifically how.

Police said that had it not been for the “speedy action” of the social media website & other teens within the group where the threat was made, “we might well have been working on an even more tragic event later this morning.”

“I’m glad that we were able to find him before something worse could have happened,” Rivera said.

Rivera said it was unclear what school the teen might have been threatening. He said the teen wasn’t registered at any local schools & authorities believe he was homeschooled.

“I’m not sure which school he planned to attack but he certainly had the weapons & ammunition to do so,” Rivera said.

He said the teen had at least two guns & a rifle.

Three people were arrested for allegedly assaulting a New York City restaurant hostess on Thursday after she asked a group of diners visiting from Texas to show proof they had been vaccinated before seating them.

Cellphone footage shows a brawl involving several people outside Carmine's Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side. Staff and bystanders intervened to break up the melee after it broke out around 5 p.m. ET, the station added.

The hostess, who has not been identified, was repeatedly punched and her necklace broken, police said.

One unspecified patient was taken to the Mount Sinai Hospital, the New York City Fire Department said, without stating their condition.

The three suspects, whose ages are 21, 44 and 49, were taken to NYPD's nearby 24th precinct station house, police said.

The attack comes as New York City this week became to first major U.S. city to require hospitality, entertainment and fitness businesses to ask customers for proof of vaccination to gain access to indoor venues. Any business that fails to comply could face a $1,000 fine.

Carmine's said in a statement to NBC New York that it was "shocking and tragic situation when one of our valued employees is assaulted for doing their job — as required by city policies — and trying to make a living."

19-year old Jacksonville, Florida rapper SpotEmGottEm is reportedly in critical condition following a shooting in Miami.

Details are scare at this time, but according to @SayCheeseTV, SpotEm, real name Nehemiah Lamar Harden, is suffering from 5 bullet wounds.

He is best known for the 2020 hit single "Beat Box."

Wendy Williams was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation one day before it was announced that the new season of her show would be delayed due to COVID issues.

Sources close to Wendy tell us the talk show host was voluntarily admitted to an NYC hospital Tuesday for a psych evaluation. Our sources say Wendy has struggled with mental health issues for some time, so this was not a big shock.

On top of that, Wendy does have COVID, but she's asymptomatic, and doctors continue to monitor her physical health as well.

It's uncertain when she'll be released, but we're told her mental health continues to improve each day. And, our sources say, her COVID is still in check with no real symptoms.

Wendy's 13th season was set to premiere Sept. 20, but that's been pushed to Oct. 4.

However, last week producers revealed she was dealing with "ongoing health issues" and would not be able to make it to promotional activities as she was being evaluated.

A Los Angeles judge declined to hear a case in which a woman accused rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny of sexually assaulting her in 2005, citing the expiration of the statute of limitations.

"Mr. and Mrs. Harris are pleased, but not surprised, by the district attorney's decision to dismiss these meritless allegations," their attorney said in a statement Thursday. "We appreciate the DA's careful review of the case and are grateful to be able to put the matter behind us and move on."

In May, the Los Angeles Police Department announced it had launched an investigation into the entertainment moguls, whose real names are Clifford and Tameka Cottle, after an anonymous woman filed a police report accusing the rapper and his wife of abusing, drugging, and assaulting her 16 years ago.

The couple still faces accusations from multiple other women who allege they used their fame and influence to coerce and sexually assault women. In March, attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn urged the attorneys general in several states to investigate claims from at least 10 women who alleged that the rapper, his wife and their associates engaged in acts including "forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation."

In the fifth installment of the"Deep Dive" series, "Murder Rap" filmmaker and co-producer of "Unsolved" Mike Dorsey details the rise of the Death Row vs Bad Boy beef and the infamous Death Row Christmas Party in Los Angeles. Dorsey detailed how Mark Anthony Bell, who went to high school with Diddy, went to the party with his friend that had done several photography jobs with Death Row. Before going to the party, Bell was asked to provide Suge with information about Diddy following the death of his friend Big Jake, which Suge allegedly held Diddy responsible. After Bell declined to provide information when approached at the Death Row offices, he was later asked again at the Christmas party, which led to Bell allegedly being beaten in a private room. To hear more, including how Suge paid Bell $600,000 after the incident.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murder in the death of George Floyd pleaded not guilty Thursday to violating the civil rights of a teenager in a separate case that involved a restraint similar to the one used on Floyd.

Derek Chauvin was convicted earlier this year on state charges of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder & second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s 2020 death. He was sentenced to 22 1/2 years. He’s also charged in federal court with violating Floyd’s civil rights when he knelt on the Black man’s neck for about 9 1/2 minutes as Floyd was facedown on the pavement, not resisting & pleading for air.

But another indictment against Chauvin alleges he carried out a similar act against a then-14-year-old boy in 2017. This indictment alleges Chauvin deprived the teenager, who is Black, of his right to be free of unreasonable force when he held the teen by the throat, hit him in the head with a flashlight & held his knee on the boy’s neck & upper back while he was prone, handcuffed & not resisting.

When U.S. Magistrate Judge Hildy Bowbeer asked how he would plead to the charge, Chauvin replied, “Not guilty, your honor.”

Thursday’s hearing was held via videoconference, and Chauvin appeared from the state’s maximum security prison, where he’s being held following his murder conviction. He was in a large room & wearing a plain T-shirt as he sat at the head of a long table.

According to a police report from the 2017 encounter, Chauvin wrote that the teen resisted arrest & after the teen, whom he described as 6-foot-2 & about 240 pounds, was handcuffed, Chauvin “used body weight to pin” him to the floor. The boy was bleeding from the ear & needed two stitches.

That encounter was one of several mentioned in state court filings that prosecutors said showed Chauvin had used neck or head & upper body restraints seven times prior to Floyd’s death dating back to 2014, including four times state prosecutors said he went too far & held the restraints “beyond the point when such force was needed under the circumstances.”
