With his longtime friend and groupmate Krayzie Bone hospitalized in critical condition, Layzie Bone of Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony reached out to fans via his Instagram account on Tuesday, September 26.
"In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy," the 49-year old wrote. "Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope. Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time."
Born Anthony Anderson, Krayzie Bone was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2016. It's a rare inflammatory disease that causes cells in the immune system to form lumps called granulomas in organs of the body. The lumps form clusters of inflamed tissue, which can appear in any part of the body, but most commonly affect the lungs and lymph nodes. Other organs that can affect include the eyes, skin, heart, and other organs.
According to TMZ, the 50-year old rapper and singer was coughing up blood when he checked himself into an L.A. area hospital on Friday, September 22.
He has reportedly undergone 2 surgeries to stop the bleeding in one of his lungs and was placed in an induced coma to help the healing process.

A murdered Ecuadorian cartel boss known as “El Fatal” was buried with hundreds of pistols, shotguns & rifles in his coffin so he could be “armed to the teeth in the afterlife.”
Julian Sevillano, the 39-year-old reputed leader of “Los Fatales,” was with his 20-year-old daughter getting a regular car wash in Moroche last Wednesday when they were suddenly ambushed by gunmen.
Both were killed in a hail of more than a dozen shots blamed on members of a rival gang.
Sevillano’s relatives refused to leave the bodies for local police, however, instead whisking them away for a massive funeral the next day.
Now-viral images show Sevillano in an open casket as people rush to fill it with high-caliber weapons — reportedly so that he would be “armed to the teeth in the afterlife & could defend himself.”
Ecuadorian police & soldiers stood guard amid rumors of potential retaliation & ongoing violence.
Locals said it seemed the rival group had tracked Sevillano’s movements ahead of his killing & knew he would be at the car wash that morning.
Local authorities believe Sevillano may have been killed to settle the score for crimes he previously committed, as the slain man had a criminal record for murder.

A suspended Pennsylvania State Police trooper is now facing charges that include felony strangulation, unlawful restraint & official oppression.
Ronald Davis, 37, of Williamstown, was an enlisted member of the PSP assigned to Troop L, covering Lebanon, Berks & Schuylkill counties, at the time of the alleged crimes on Aug. 21.
Davis obtained an involuntary commitment under the Mental Health Procedure Act for a woman with whom he had a relationship.
When he located her, he used what the district attorney's office described as "substantial force" on her.
The physical altercation – which was recorded by an acquaintance of the woman – resulted in her being injured.
The district attorney's office said the woman was rational & the 5-day involuntary commitment was improper.
A district judge determined no condition or combination of conditions was sufficient to protect the public from Davis & she committed him to Dauphin County prison without bail.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 27, 1990, Marsh B is a prolific songwriter who is captivating the realm of Rap and R&B. PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A 30-year-old Gresham woman was sentenced Tuesday for criminal mistreatment after she waterboarded her baby & put him in a freezer to test if the baby's dad cared.
Sharday McDonald was given 30 days in jail in the Tuesday sentencing, as well as 3 years of probation, for convictions of criminal mistreatment, tampering with a witness & ID theft.
In October 2021 Gresham Police responded to a report of a mom putting her baby in a freezer at an apartment.
As officers arrived, they heard a woman yelling through the door, "You don't want him. Let me show you this little f---ing baby, I don't f----ing give a f--ck about."
When the woman, later identified as McDonald, answered the door, she was holding the baby in a blanket.
The baby's dad later arrived & showed police a video call he had with McDonald where she was holding her baby by his onesie & waterboarding him. The officer wrote in police reports that it looked like the baby was trying to hold his breath while water was pouring down his face & into his nose.
McDonald said she was sorry & that she did it to test the dad to see if "he gave a f--ck at all" & thought putting her baby under running water would make the dad come back.
She told officers she was not trying to hurt or kill her son by drowning him or putting him in the freezer, but did say that waterboarding the baby was done out of spite.
The court documents state police spoke with & showed pictures of the incident to a pediatrician, who said the child would have been unable to breathe while having water poured into his nose & that it could have had serious & life-threatening complications.
It is unclear from court records whether the baby is back with his father and what condition he is in.
McDonald was previously convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas in 2016.
