More information is starting to come in about U.S. journalist James Foley, who was kidnapped and later beheaded by ISIS in Iraq.

The 40-year old was originally kidnapped in Syria In 2012. The video of his killing was sent out on Tuesday, August, 19.

12351028480?profile=original

U.S. Special Forces attempted to rescue Foley and other hostages earlier this summer in Syria, but failed.

President Obama spoke about Foley's death and his disgust for Isis during a press conference on Wednesday, August 20.

12351029083?profile=original

"A group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century," Obama said, using the acronym by which the militant group is also known. "They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery ... ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings."

Prior to murdering Foley, ISIS attempted to collect a ransom of $132.5 million from his family and employer, the Global Post, according to CNN.

Video After The Jump

Atlanta rapper Killer Mike was a guest on CNN Wednesday, August 20. More than most, Mike understands what police officers go through on a daily basis because his father was a cop.

During his conversation with Brooke Baldwin, Mike discussed the changes he sees within police departments across the country.

"The culture of policing is changing. It's becoming more militarized," Mike said. "They're getting old military weapons. They're using kids that are fresh out of the military and using military tactics. We have essentially gone from being policed by people from the communities to communities that are policed by strangers. That's no longer a community. That's an area that's under siege."

12351037069?profile=original

Mike went on to talk about why the shooting of Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson has become such a hot topic, as opposed to other police involved killings.

12351036859?profile=original

Slain 18-year old Michael Brown and police officer Darren Wilson

"This seems very gratuitous," he explained. "There's no gun found on the child. If there weren't any burns or gun powder [residue] it says that they weren't in close proximity. My grandfather taught me if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, there's probably a duck behind that bush. The consciousness of this country does not agree with this shooting. I don't think it agreed with Sean Bell, I don't think it agreed with Amadou Diallo, I don't think it agreed with Eric Garner. I don't that that it agreed, but this is a child. This was a college bound child. This was a child that had done childish stuff. Children shoplift, children act like gangsters and robbers. Children do stupid stuff, but no one could go to bed at the night of finding out [about] this young man's murder, comfortable that a child had been shot up to or more than six times in a defensive position. If this police officer is not arrested what immediately might happen is some rioting. I'm afraid for all Americans. I'm not just afraid for black Americans."

ATLANTA (Associated Press) — At least one of the two American aid workers who were infected with the Ebola virus in Africa was to be discharged Thursday from an Atlanta hospital, a spokeswoman for the aid group he was working for said.

Meanwhile, Emory University Hospital planned to hold a news conference Thursday morning to discuss both patients' discharge.

Alison Geist, a spokeswoman for Samaritan's Purse, told The Associated Press she did not know the exact time Dr. Kent Brantly would be released but confirmed it would happen Thursday.

Meanwhile, Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan's Purse, said in a statement that Brantly has recovered.

"Today I join all of our Samaritan's Purse team around the world in giving thanks to God as we celebrate Dr. Kent Brantly's recovery from Ebola and release from the hospital," Graham's statement said.

Brantly and Nancy Writebol were flown out of the west African nation of Liberia earlier this month and have been getting treatment for the deadly disease in an isolation unit at the hospital. The two were infected while working at a missionary clinic outside Liberia's capital.

The Ebola outbreak has killed 1,350 people and counting across West Africa.

On Wednesday in Liberia, slum residents clashed with riot police and soldiers who used scrap wood and barbed wire to seal off 50,000 people inside the slum in an effort to contain the outbreak.

12351040279?profile=original

The World Health Organization said the death toll is rising most quickly in Liberia, which now accounts for at least 576 of the fatalities. At least 2,473 people have been sickened across West Africa, which is now more than the caseloads of all the previous two-dozen Ebola outbreaks combined.

12351040701?profile=original

Ebola is only spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of sick people experiencing symptoms.

The recent deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown at the hands of police have many in the black community angry. T.I. joins a growing number of artists who are voicing their opinion via new songs. Listen to Tip's "New National Anthem" featuring Skylar Grey.

12351038467?profile=original

New National Anthem Lyrics

Intro:

I know radio prolly aint gonna play this….but chopper going off in the hood man like Afghanistan or the Gaza strip somewhere man.

Yeah, we here it so much we probably numb to it by now.

After all, it’s the American way right?

Hook:

Home of the brave and free (It’s America)
Free just to murder me (land of the handgun)
Land of the beautiful (home of the shotgun)
Cursed by the hate we throw (You’re dead if you ain’t got one)
Is this the new national anthem (It was like this before I got here baby, I ain’t do it)
Is this the new national anthem (I ain’t start it, I’m just a part of it)

Verse 1:

You say this the home of the brave I guess
I say this the home of the K’s and the vets
All alone with the J’s smoking yay cause he stressed
On chrome with a Tek taught to spray for respect
I learned from the best used to stay in the “jects”
Bought work from the vets burning rubber in the vets
This as good as it gets used to play with the rats
Then I got older and learned stay away from the rats
God blessed this nigga, to hustle up and make eight figures
Turned from a goon to a great young nigga
No complaining just doing what it take young nigga
I was raised in a decade of hate young nigga
Always dodging polices because they hate young niggas
And we hate them too, 38 in him shoe
All the changes the system will take him through
He ain’t a killer but he will if you make him do it
Homicide he’ll ride, they’ll put him on trial
Let him have a life sentence then do it with a smile
And he only 19, he ain’t even had a child
As a child, told his mama he’ll be gone for a while
And she cried, still they just put him inside
Now she all on her own because her other son died
Listen to the politician as he lied and he lied
He a snake in a suit, trying to hide in disguise

Hook:

Home of the brave and free (well damn officer what did I do)
Free just to murder me (Naw hold up man don’t shoot, I live over there)
Land of the beautiful (a man what you doin)
Cursed by the hate we throw (you trippin dawg)
Is this the new national anthem (how many times has that ever happened to you, what the fuck do you know about being a black man in america)
Is this the new national anthem (And you wonder why we walk around with straps)

Verse 2:

For the stars and the stripes prison bars and the pipe
Young nigga rolling weed in a cigar he can light
Bang red either blue selling hard and the white
Live by the gun, never run from a fight
Trayvon in a hoodie, walking through the neighborhood he
Didn’t do shit to buddy, he didn’t have to die did he?
I guess it’s because his dad was a judge in the city
They didn’t want him in the pen with the thugs that could get him
A jury of his peers said all was forgiven
But touch one of mine, right or wrong, I’ma kill them
Fill them with the lead like they put in Martin Luther King’s head
Like they killed Malcolm X, Edgar Hoover did that
You can catch me in the hood where they shooting niggas at
They don’t know if Neighborhood or the Hoovers did that
Whether Piru or VLs or GDs wit me we
Down to uprise from the OG’s to peewees

Hook 3:

Home of the brave and free (Don’t get it fucked up)
Free just to murder me (If you ain’t found something you’re willing to die for, you ain’t fit to live)
Land of the beautiful (To get something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done)
Cursed by the hate we throw (I’ma die by mine)
Is this the new national anthem
Is this the new national anthem

Outro:

Let me ask you something. If the kids are the future, tell me why you can get more for being C.O., than you can for being a teacher. Tell me why it means more to the government to pay the people who got to watch over the prisoners, more than the people who got to keep the children from becoming prisoners. That make sense? Tell me why 9 ounces of crack will get you more time than a rape right now. Tell me why them crazy white boys can tote a gun but I can’t right now. Yea I had felonies, I done did dirt in the streets, but I ain’t ever gave it to anybody that didn’t deserve it. You know what I mean? I ain’t ever ran in no public place with no pistol shooting no innocent people. I ain’t never ran in no school, killing no kids. Man this is the result of you refusing to deal with the issues at hand. We are a product of the environment you placed us in…we aint do it…we just lived through it.

Hook 4:

Home of the brave and free (message to my people)
Free just to murder me (stop waiting on folk to help you, help yourself, it starts with you)
Land of the beautiful (get yourself out , reach back, get somebody else out)
Cursed by the hate we throw (and that’s the way we’re going to get ahead)
Is this the new national anthem (sittin around waiting on government to do something for us aint never gonna happen partner they don’t give a fuck about us)
Is this the new national anthem but don’t play into their hand partner, you making it easy for em, hell is you doin)

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are headed for divorce court. The two were married in April 2008. They have three-year old fraternal twins. A son, Moroccan Scott Cannon and daughter Monroe Cannon.

According to TMZ, problems began following Nick's March 2014 appearance on Big Boy's Neighborhood, when he named five celebrity women he's slept with. Mariah was "humiliated" that he mentioned former girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

12351026298?profile=original

Things didn't get any better when Nick later told Big Boy that his wife wouldn't have sex with him prior to their marriage and described their first experience.

12351026877?profile=original

The couple has been living apart since May. The divorce is a "done deal," according to the report. Their lawyers are currently hammering out details of a property settlement and custody agreement

Video And Pics After The Jump

Amid chants of “No Justice, No Peace,” and “Time to Kill a Cop,” 47 protesters were arrested in Ferguson, Missouri Wednesday morning, August 20.

Things were peaceful throughout most of Tuesday night until urine and bottles were tossed at police around midnight, according to News 4.

Police Shooting Missouri

Police arrested 47 people and confiscated three guns.

Captain Ron Johnson, with the Missouri Highway Patrol, said the troublemakers were younger people who came out after the older protesters began to disperse.

APTOPIX Police Shooting Missouri

Johnson had to answer question from a woman who wanted to know why tear gas and smoke entered her home on Monday night.

“I talked to a lady who said ‘you put smoke and gas in my house last night in my home. Why?’ I said ‘last night there were gentlemen on the corner with handguns and if I don’t use tear gas, there is a gunfight between an officer and a citizen,”Ron Johnson said.

No tear gas or smoke was used Tuesday night, Wednesday morning.

The Super Bowl is a huge money maker for both the NFL and the network that carries it. 111.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the Seattle Seahawks defeat the Denver Broncos at Super Bowl XLVIII, making it the most watched television event in U.S. history.

Part of the attraction of the big event is the halftime performance.

Over the years we've seen Beyonce, Prince, Janet Jackson, Madonna, The Who, Bruno Mars, Bruce Springstein, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Paul McCartney rock the stage.

12351031080?profile=original

All have done so for free because of the opportunity to be seen by millions of people worldwide and the chance to reap the benefits of increased record sales, merchandise and concert revenue.

The three artist under consideration for Super Bowl XLIX are Coldplay, Rihanna and Katy Perry. However, the NFL has thrown in a potential monkey wrench

12351031852?profile=original.

According the the Wall Street Journal, they have asked the artists to pay for the privilege of performing by coughing up "a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig."

The offer was said to have gotten a "chilly reception."

If you were at the height of your career like the three artists mentioned above would you pay to play the Super Bowl?
