Radio legend Troi Torain (STAR) always delivers hard-hitting objective truth. As a culture critic he is vicious, as a businessman he is relentless, as a luminary he is un-matched.

Considered radio pioneers by many, the Star & Buc Wild show has set precedents on the urban landscape and was recently inducted into News One's "Top 20 Black Radio Jockeys Of All Time."

Star & Buc Wild made the national stage on MTV (1999) but it was their radio show on New York's Hot 97 (2000 - 2003) that secured their place in Hip-Hop history.

Star & Buc Wild's resume includes The Source magazine, MTV Networks, Hot 97, Power 104.1, Power 105.1, Pulse 87, Hip-Hop Weekly magazine, Vladtv, Thisis50, 100.3 The Beat and shot97.com and VH1 (Reality Television).

This clip is from STAR's LIVE show (12noon -- 2pm) on http://shot97.com.

Meek Mill protégé Lil Snupe was laid to rest over the weekend in a funeral service attended by hundreds of friends, family and associates in his hometown of Jonesboro, Louisiana, according to the Shreveport Times.

12350208075?profile=original

Meek remembered the 18-year old as he spoke during the funeral.

“I’m never one to talk (at funerals),” Meek said. "I saw something in him. His demo tape spoke to me. I saw myself in him. He was spitting so much pain. He’s from the South with a flow like an East Coast guy. He really can spit, and he was talking that talk that I can really relate to. I seen potential in him.”

12350207678?profile=original

Snupe, real name Addarren Ross, was shot and killed on June 20th. A suspect in the case has been arrested.

Rest in peace Snupe.

2 Arrest Warrants Issued For Suge Knight

12350203899?profile=original

Former Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight, is wanted by law enforcement...again. TMZ reports that two arrest warrants have been issued for his arrest, both stemming from driving on a suspended license.

Suge blew off two hearings this month in California for cases from 2011 and 2012. Bench warrants for his arrest were subsequently issued.

12350204473?profile=original

Knight has been in trouble with the law numerous times over the years. Since 1996, he's been sent to prison twice for violating his probation and been arrested for assault, robbery, weed possession and multiple driving offences.

The 2013 BET Awards was going to be a nice showcase for Drake. The Toronto emcee was nominated for a whopping 12 awards and executives were banking on his star power to help boost ratings, but he called the morning of the event to say he wouldn't be showing up.

According to RadarOnline, producers were left scrambling trying to figure out what to do.

Everything is in flux,” a source said. “The producers are all pulling their hair out.”

Drake posted a message on his Twitter account that said he was staying home to work on his forthcoming third studio album, Nothing Was the Same.

12350217483?profile=original

Despite his excuse, many are speculating that the OVO boss simply didn't want to be in the same venue as Chris Brown, who performed during Sunday's show. Breezy and Drake have been feuding ever since a June 2012 bottle throwing brawl between their camps at a New York City club.

12350218697?profile=original

Drake recently spoke to GQ about their beef and predicted it might end on a really bad note.

“I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t,” Drake told the publication. “I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. It’s embarrassing, the amount of media coverage. Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music. But he’s made me the enemy, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay, I guess. …If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly.”

The Young Money rapper's presence was still felt at the awards despite him not being their. He won three trophies for Video of the Year and Viewers' Choice for "Started From the Bottom" and Best Collaboration for A$AP Rocky's "F*ckin Problems,"
