Gucci Mane will release his highly anticipated new album titled "Everybody Looking" on July 22. Today he drops off a music video for the song "Gucci Home" featuring Young Thug.
On Monday, July 11, former Miss Alabama, Kalyn Chapman James, released a video on Facebook in which she agonized over the fact that she doesn't "feel sorry" for the five Dallas police officers who were murdered by gunman Micah Johnson on July, 7, 2016.
"I can't stop the image of these men being killed in my mind, and my heart weeps," she says in the clip. "But I think more than anything I'm dealing with a bit of guilt, because I don't feel sad for the officers that lost their lives. And I know that's not really my heart. I value human life and I want to feel sorry for them, but I can't help but feeling like the shooter was a martyr."
Since the video's release James has gotten a lot of backlash. She appeared onCNNWednesday to speak with anchor Poppy Harlow about why she feels empathy for the killer.
"I wasn't saying that he's someone I celebrate or that I hold in high esteem. A martyr is truly and simply defined as a person who dies for their beliefs. That's the context in which I used it," James told Harlow. "It's complex being an African American in America, watching people being gunned down. It doesn't mean that I don't value all human life, because I do. But I think that I've been more directly affected by the atrocities I've seen done against people of color. I've had to deal with that as an African American woman. And I do have to admit, while I detest the killing of those officers and the taking of innocent lives ... I did in a way, I understood what could drive the shooter to do something like that."

"I have long respected his work and his contribution to the rap game.I greatly apologize not only to Biggie Smalls, but also to all of my fans and to New York. The city of New York has been nothing but good to me. I felt honored to stand on stage with artists I grew up listening to.Once on stage I had some technical difficulties and must admit I got nervous.I will forever be sorry to New York, my fans, Biggie Small, Lil Kim, and all the Hip Hop community for my performance. Hip hop artists have a powerful platform and fans who will listen to their message if they would speak out against injustice, but most would rather stay silent and count their money while blood is being shed in the streets.
Thankfully, rappers like Young Buck, Killer Mike, Boosie Badazz, Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique, Willie D, Public Enemy, Beyonce and now Joe Budden are letting their voices be heard, damn the consequences.
Check out Joe's powerful new song/video for his "Freedom Freestyle."
An artist coming out of South Florida by the name of "Ivy" is impacting the game of conscious rap with his jazzy almost 90s style flows, and his message. He started with music in 7th grade just freestyling to beats, and loving rappers coming up like Drake, J.cole, and Kendrick Lamar. He did take a break from music to pursue basketball but music brought him back. He wants to change the culture of sound in hip hop and the voice in his community. He has a heart for the world but stays true to his roots. As he grows in making music, he will soon be a household name.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — With hugs and handshakes, Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton for president on Tuesday and emphatically told his supporters their "political revolution" must now turn to electing his Democratic former rival.
Sanders bestowed his long-awaited support before a boisterous New Hampshire crowd, declaring he wanted to make it "as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton." He congratulated her for securing enough delegates to win the Democratic nomination and vowed to do everything he could to help her defeat Republican candidate Donald Trump.
"This campaign is not really about Hillary Clinton, or Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders, or any other candidate who sought the presidency. This campaign is about the needs of the American people and addressing the very serious crises that we face," Sanders said.
He added: "And there is no doubt in my mind that, as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate to do that."
As Sanders delivered the endorsement just two weeks shy of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Clinton offered a huge smile, embracing him as they raised their arms in unity. The former secretary of state said the final four months of the campaign would be "much more enjoyable" working alongside Sanders and echoed her campaign slogan, "We are stronger together."
During much of her remarks, Clinton embraced many of Sanders' causes, vowing to oppose trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership, fight to raise the federal minimum wage — adopting Sanders' tone, she called it a "starvation wage" — and overhaul the campaign finance system.
"These aren't just my fights. These are Bernie's fights. These are America's fights," Clinton said.
Democrats have coalesced around Clinton's candidacy since she defeated Sanders in primaries last month in California and five other states, helped along by endorsements from President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and others. In a high-profile rally last month, Clinton was embraced by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a liberal stalwart popular with Sanders' followers.
Sanders has spent the past month seeking to influence the party's platform for the Philadelphia convention and promote electoral reforms including allowing independents to participate in future primaries. He called the platform "the most progressive" in history and hailed steps to create a $15 an hour minimum wage, prevent Wall Street malfeasance and address climate change.
The event at a Portsmouth high school sought to project Democratic unity before Republicans formally nominate Trump next week in Cleveland but some Sanders' supporters in the crowd did not appear to be ready to move on.
Chants of "Bernie" broke out in the gymnasium while opening speakers addressed the crowd, prompting Clinton's faithful to chant, "unity." When Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, a Clinton supporter, told the audience, "We need to elect Hillary," some Bernie supporters stood and shouted, "No," which was followed by chants of "Hillary" in the crowd.
"It's like he's giving up if he endorses her," said Steve Rand, a hardware store owner from Plymouth, New Hampshire, before the two candidates took the stage. He added: "She stands for everything that I am against.
But James LePage, a 25-year-old teacher from Denver who attended the rally, said he felt Clinton was "genuine" in her remarks.
"I heard a lot of Bernie in her voice, which I wasn't willing to listen to before," LePage said.
Recent polls have shown that many Sanders voters plan to back Clinton but have reservations about her honesty.
A new GenForward poll of adults ages 18 to 30 found that Clinton was struggling to make inroads among young Americans who overwhelmingly supported Sanders. The poll found a majority of the nation's younger blacks and Asian-Americans have a favorable impression of Clinton, but the presumptive Democratic nominee struggles with whites and Hispanics.
The Vermont senator saw his longshot bid for the White House quickly catch fire in 2015 at large-scale rallies where he denounced income inequality, the influence of Wall Street and the role of big money in politics — all part of a system he described as "rigged."
Sanders was powered by an impressive online fundraising machine that generated more than $200 million and threatened Clinton's once overwhelming lead in the Democratic primaries with the help of college students, independents and white voters drawn to his anti-establishment message.
In his remarks, Sanders warned that Trump was a divisive figure who would create further splintering.
"In these stressful times for our country, this election must be about bringing our people together, not dividing us up," Sanders said. "While Donald Trump is busy insulting Mexicans, Muslims, women, African Americans and veterans, Hillary Clinton understands that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths."
Trump, who has courted Sanders' backers as the primaries have winded down, wasted little time going after Sanders, accusing him of capitulating to Clinton.
"Bernie Sanders, who has lost most of his leverage, has totally sold out to Crooked Hillary Clinton," Trump wrote on Twitter. "Sanders was not true to himself and his supporters."

Lamar Odom has completely fallen off the wagon after nearly losing his life in 2015.
TMZ reports that the former NBA player had to be removed from a Delta Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York City, because he was wasted and vomiting.
Odom reportedly had way too much to drink in the Delta lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, prior to boarding the flight.
Witnesses told TMZ that he plopped down in his seat, then hopped up and threw up in the galley. Odom then headed to the bathroom and vomited while the door was wide open.
All of this occurred before the plane had taken off.
Odom was escorted off the plane, but reappeared minutes later with vomit on his pants before heading back to the bathroom, using the heads of fellow passengers to balance himself along the way.
"Don't you know his history? I don't want a dead body at 30,000 feet," a passenger told one of the flight attendants.
Odom was once again escorted from the plane, this time for good.
As we reported at the time, Odom was found unconscious last October, at Dennis Hof'sLove Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada, following a weekend of heavy partying with two prostitutes.
He was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support. Fortunately, he recovered and after several months of physical rehabilitation, Odom was released from a Los Angeles hospital in January.
His estranged wife,Khloe Kardashian, stood by him while he recovered. She gave up a couple of months ago when he started drinking again and refused to go to rehab.
Last month his family found crack pipes, baggies, marijuana roaches and other drug paraphernalia in his Calabases, California home.
During a recent interview with Montreality, SchoolBoy Q was asked if there was one evil he could rid the world of, what would it be.
"Guns, that gun law shit is real ... it'll never stop," The TDE rapper said. "Niggas need to take away guns. From officers, from everybody. It should be no guns. But, it's too many guns out there now. It's impossible to take away all the guns. What I want is impossible to happen. If they could have never made guns ... I think that would be a whole lot better. 'Cause now people just getting killed left and right. You'll have 400-500 people die in Chicago, like every year. That's fucking insane."
