Three years after Prodigy's passing it still doesn't seem real that he's not here in the physical form. He painted pictures with words and wasn't afraid to tackle controversial topics.
He didn't let sickle cell anemia define him or his legacy. Instead, Prodigy fought through the pain, continuing to bless hip hop fans with knowledge and quotables.
As both 1/2 of Mobb Deep with Havoc and a solo artist, Bandana P, will go down in history as one of the greatest emcees to ever touch a mic.
Who could forget songs like "Hell on Earth," "Survival of the Fittest," "Shook Ones, Pt. II," "Keep It Thoro," "The Learning (Burn)," "Mac 10 Handle," "Quiet Storm," "It's Mine," "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)," "Crawlin," "Got It Twisted," "G.O.D. Pt. III" and countless others?
The albums "The Infamous," "Hell on Earth," "Murda Muzik," "H.N.I.C." "Infamy," "Return of the Mac" and "H.N.I.C. 2" are all classics imo.
Prodigy left behind lots of unreleased material. Hopefully, we will get to hear a new Mobb Deep album or posthumous solo project in the near future.
Rest in peace Prodigy, you are truly missed.
