Phillip Seymour Hoffman's exact cause of death has been revealed.

The New York City medical examiner ruled Friday that the critically acclaimed actor died from taking cocaine, heroin, amphetamines and benzodiazepines. He was found on February 2nd in his New York City apartment with a needle still stuck in his arm. Hoffman was 46-years old.

Because the blood levels in Hoffman's system were not disclosed it's impossible to know which drug was the primary reason for his death.

Dr. Charles McKay, a spokesman for the American College of Medical Toxicology and a medical toxicologist for Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, spoke about the autopsy results.

"There's a difference between a stimulant death, which would be cocaine and the amphetamines, and a narcotic death, like heroin," he said, according to the Associated Press.

Heroin slows your heart and breathing rate, suppresses your emotions, causes depression, lack of appetite and can cause brain damage.

Once addicted to heroin, a users single mission in life is to consume the drug. Severe withdrawal symptoms like restlessness, muscle and bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, cold flashes with goose bumps (“cold turkey”) and leg movements.

Cocaine is a stimulant that can cause an irregular heartbeat, paranoia, constrict blood to the brain and cause lung and liver damage.

Chris Brown has been dealing with several medical issues that have been at the root of his angry outbursts, according to the anger management facility he's been in for the last month and a half.

The singer has been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, bipolar II disorder and severe sleep deprivation. The weed smoking habit Chris picked up was one way he was improperly self medicating

TMZ obtained a report from the facility that details Chris' diagnosis.

"Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."

Chris has responded well to treatment, medication prescribed for his conditions and relaxation exercises. He has tested negative for weed during his stay at the facility and is working hard to complete his court ordered community service.

"Mr. Brown's attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities."

The National Institute of Mental Health writes there are several causes for PTSD.

PTSD develops after a terrifying ordeal that involved physical harm or the threat of physical harm. The person who develops PTSD may have been the one who was harmed, the harm may have happened to a loved one, or the person may have witnessed a harmful event that happened to loved ones or strangers.

The treatment facility didn't disclose how Chris got PTSD, but in 2009 he told MTV that he witnessed his mother, Joyce Hawkins, being physically abused by his stepfather when he was "7 or 8" years old.

Video And Pics After The Jump

Da Brat freely admits she was wrong for hitting Shayla Stevens with a bottle of run during a 2007 altercation and believes the victim is entitled to some compensation, but the for So So Def rapper was stunned when a Cobb County Superior Court civil jury awarded Stevens $6.4 million.

"That was a hell of a shock. I was baffled," Brat told TMZ Live. "I knew I shouldn't have did what I did. And I knew she was entitled to something, but $6.4 million... hello no. They had all of her doctor bills and they said it came to about $60,000. They didn't even have a neurologist there. A true neurologist or a neurological surgeon or anything like that to show proof that there was neurological damage."

When asked if she could afford to pay the judgement Da Brat, real name Shawntae Harris, was brutally honest.

"Pffft, hell no [I can't pay it]," she said. "I'm just gonna do what I do. Work and whatever ever money I get, I guess she's entitled to some of it, but I owe a lot of people. She gotta stand in line."

Here are some photos of Stevens after the attack, via Dennis Byron and TMZ.

Video After The Jump

On Thursday (February 27), President Obama introduced his "My Brother's Keeper" initiative aimed at helping young men of color.

This wasn't just another speech to push across some other hidden agenda. The President is putting millions of dollars behind this initiative.

$350 million from private funds and corporate leaders will be spent over the next five years to fund programs that are the most successful in helping young men of color. Those programs will then be used in communities all over the U.S.

President Obama also signed a presidential memorandum directing the federal government to determine the best methods to improve the odds for young men of color.

022714_potus_mbk.jpg?itok=TZabZ14T

[I]n this effort, government cannot play the only -- or even the primary -- role. We can help give every child access to quality preschool and help them start learning from an early age, but we can’t replace the power of a parent who’s reading to that child. We can reform our criminal justice system to ensure that it's not infected with bias, but nothing keeps a young man out of trouble like a father who takes an active role in his son’s life.

In other words, broadening the horizons for our young men and giving them the tools they need to succeed will require a sustained effort from all of us. Parents will have to parent -- and turn off the television, and help with homework. Teachers will need to do their part to make sure our kids don’t fall behind and that we're setting high expectations for those children and not giving up on them. Business leaders will need to create more mentorships and apprenticeships to show more young people what careers are out there. Tech leaders will need to open young eyes to fields like computer science and engineering. Faith leaders will need to help our young men develop the values and ethical framework that is the foundation for a good and productive life.

So we all have a job to do. And we can do it together -- black and white, urban and rural, Democrat and Republican.

Bill O'Reilly of Fox News was at the White House to hear the plan laid out in person. Afterwards he and Senior Advisor to President Obama, Valerie B. Jarrett, clashed on The O'Reilly Factor when discussing the influence of "gangsta rap" culture on our youth.

jay-z-kanye-west-watch-the-throne.jpg

"You have to attack the fundamental disease if you want to cure it," O'Reilly said. "Now I submit to you that you're going to have to get people like Jay Z, Kanye West... All of these gangsta rappers to knock it off. Listen to me, you gotta get them where they live. They idolize these guys with their hats on backwards, and the terrible rap lyrics, and the drugs and all of that. You gotta get these guys. And I think President Obama can do it."

Are West and Jay Z are part of what's wrong with America's African American and Latino youths? Listen to the full discussion below and let us know what you think.
