I'm actually surprised we don't see this happen more often.
A news crew from Sacramento tv station Fox40 was attacked by angry family members of a shooting victim.
27-year-old Chester Jackson was shot and killed in a parking lot outside an IHOP early morning Sunday (February 20). His family gathered in the parking lot and set up a makeshift memorial. When reporter John Lobertini and photojournalist Rebecca Little approached to see if anyone wanted to talked, things got ugly.
"This is one of the hazards of the business but we didn't expect what we encountered here today," said Lobertini.
Before things escalated into violence, one woman is seen yelling at the news crew, who didn't back down. Then someone is seen pulling Little to the ground by her hair as they attempted to stop her from filming.
"When I fell on the ground I was protecting myself, and then she kicked me and I was still kinda paralyzed, and I hear my reporter John say, 'get up, get up,'" Little told Fox40
It was just an unfortunate situation for everyone. I know I wouldn't want some guy sticking a mic in my face right after a relative was killed. Hopefully the news crew won't try to press any charges.
At one point you can hear family members respond to her saying she was kicked by replying "nobody hit you."
"I know people are going through rough times but that's still my job. I wasn't trying to get in their face and be disrespectful," Little said.
The NBA did something the NFL can't seem to, and that's have an exciting halftime performance.
The NFL gave us soupy Black Eyed Peas while the NBA gave us saucy Rihanna.
Riri performed a medley of some of her biggest hits "Umbrella", "Only Girl (In The World)", "Rude Boy". She then brought out Drake for "What's My Name" and Kanye West for "All Of The Lights."
Lenny Kravitz kicked off the show by performing during player introductions.

LOS ANGELES -- Kobe Bryant always shines brightest among the stars, especially in his hometown.
Bryant brought Showtime back to the All-Star game, scoring 37 points and tying a record with his fourth MVP award, leading the Western Conference to a 148-143 victory over the East on Sunday night.
"I feel like we have a sense of responsibility and we are voted in for what we do during the season, which is play hard," Bryant said. "And we come here, that's what the fans want to see. They want to see us go at it and see us compete and that's what I try to do and that's what I try to tell my teammates to do."
Returning to the game he dominates after a one-year absence, Bryant added 14 rebounds in a spectacular performance in front of the usual celebrity-filled crowd that turns out to see his Lakers at Staples Center.
"It feels great, being at home here and playing in front of the home crowd," Bryant said after receiving the MVP trophy. "This will be my last All-Star game in front of these home fans, so it feels good to do it."
Kevin Durant chipped in 34 points, scoring five straight after the East cut a 17-point deficit after three quarters to two points with 2:34 to play. The NBA scoring leader added the clinching free throws after the East got back within three in the final seconds.
LeBron James powered the East rally, finishing with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to join Michael Jordan as the only players with a triple-double in the All-Star game. Amare Stoudemire also scored 29, but Miami's Dwyane Wade, the MVP of the East's win last year, had to leave with an ankle injury after scoring 14.
Wade said he rolled the ankle he originally hurt in a loss at Boston last week. He was hoping James would pull it out without him.
"I wish the East would've won, then my teammate with the triple-double would've stole (the MVP)," Wade said. "But (Bryant) deserved it."
Plenty of Hollywood giants were sitting courtside, but Bryant's popularity here can rival most of them. This week, he became the first athlete to have his handprints and footprints put in concrete outside Hollywood's famed Grauman's Chinese Theater.
He told fans to "enjoy the show" before the tip, and as always he delivered a good one.
Always more about focus than fun, Bryant had 21 points by the time Rihanna came out for her halftime performance, putting him halfway to Wilt Chamberlain's record from 1962, the year of his 100-point game.
"You could tell he started out from the start, he wanted to get the MVP," Stoudemire said. "He was not passing the ball, at all. But that's Kobe."
And when the East made it close in the third quarter, Bryant dunked over a chasing James who was going for the block, then nailed a 3-pointer to make it 90-79.
"He was unbelievable tonight," James said. "You definitely saw his motor was going tonight."
Carmelo Anthony scored eight points in his possible goodbye to the West team. The weekend was dominated by talk of a potential trade to New York or New Jersey, and the Denver Nuggets forward appeared alternately entertained and annoyed by the constant questions.
"At times, it can be tough, but it's fun at the same time," he said while walking on the magenta carpet before the game. "During this weekend I'm still having fun."
While hearing some of the usual "MVP! MVP! chants he's usually serenaded with at Staples Center, Bryant tied Bob Pettit's record for All-Star game honors. He was scoreless for the final 6:48, but Lakers teammate Pau Gasol had a big basket to help the West hold on.
Gasol scored 17 points, helping the West hold on against an East team featuring a combined seven players from Boston and Miami, considered two of the biggest threats to end the Lakers' reign.
The exhibition game had a bit of a finals feel with the presence of a record-tying four players from the rival Celtics.
Paul Pierce -- who grew up in nearby Inglewood -- and Kevin Garnett received the heaviest boos during the starting lineups. Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo were also here from the group that lost Game 7 on this floor last June and would love another chance to come take the title back.
East coach Doc Rivers sent his four players out together midway through the first quarter to loud boos that usually provide the soundtrack of June in Los Angeles. They quickly turned to cheers when Allen threw up an airball on his first shot attempt.
Bryant denied gaining extra motivation from seeing the two rivals, both of whom already won at Staples Center this season. But he was clearly into the game from the start, driving for a couple of strong dunks or knocking down jumpers when defenders gave him room.
The crowd of entertainers included Beyonce and Jay-Z, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Jack Nicholson, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Justin Bieber -- who was called Justin "Berber" by the public address announcer while mentioning the teen star's MVP performance in the celebrity game on Friday.
Perhaps trying too hard to impress the stars surrounding them, there were errant passes and shaky shooting in the early minutes. The West got it right in the final minute of the first quarter, with rookie star Blake Griffin of the Clippers catching an alley-oop pass from Deron Williams for one of his powerful dunks -- though not quite the degree of difficulty as his slam while leaping over the hood of a car Saturday to win the dunk contest.
The game was a welcome diversion from the Anthony talk and the troubling labor situation that threatens the league. Next year's game is scheduled for Orlando, but nobody can be sure it will be played. The owners and players' association met Friday to discuss a new collective bargaining agreement to replace the one that expires June 30. Though it was described as a positive meeting, there was also no progress made, and the sides have a significant gap to close in order to prevent a work stoppage.
And it was a welcome break for Lakers fans, whose defending two-time champions stumbled into the weekend with three losses in a row.
They'll be all right if Bryant is as sharp in the spring as he was Sunday.
Chris Bosh scored 14 points, Allen had 12, and Derrick Rose and Joe Johnson finished with 11 apiece for the East.
Following a pregame performance by rocker Lenny Kravitz a tandem talc toss by James and the rest of the East starters, Bryant scored 11 points in the first quarter. The West led 76-64 at halftime.
Russell Westbrook, who played at UCLA, scored 12 points and Chris Paul added 10 for the West.
Game notes
Not all Celtics get booed in Los Angeles. Hall of Famer Bill Russell, who this week became the first person from the NBA to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, received a standing ovation when his honor was announced during the second quarter. ... The record of 14 straight All-Star selections is shared by Jerry West, Shaquille O'Neal and Karl Malone. ... Dolph Schayes was honored for scoring the first points in the first All-Star game 60 years ago

Now that Lloyd Banks's 'The Hunger For more 2' album has dropped, anticipation is building for Tony Yayo's next project,
Whether he's working on an album or mixtape, Yayo's work ethic stays the same. The G-Unit Capo keeps grinding.
Picture Perfect recently caught up with The Talk Of New York at the studio, where he was holding things down with Sha Money XL, Wilson Chandler, Christian Dior and Luckie Don.
The Source Awards used to be the hip hop equivalent of The Grammys. In 1995 especially so, because two powerful labels, one from the east and one from the west would have a showdown to see who would outperform the other.
Suge Knight and Death Row Records brought Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Dr Dre, Lady Of Rage, Nate Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound to Madison Square Garden that day
While Bad Boy Records Ceo, Diddy brought Notorious B.I.G., Total, Craig Mack, Lil Kim, and Faith Evans.
It's debatable who had the better performance because they were both great, so I'll let you decide.
There was some negativity though. Suge Knight just couldn't let the night go without taking a swipe at Puffy whom he criticized for "dancing all up in the videos" before inviting artist to come joining Death Row if they didn't want all that.
You can see that part at the end of the 2nd Bad Boy video. All that did was fan the flames of the east coast vs west coast feud even more. 2Pac was in prison on a rape charge at the time or things might have gotten violent.
As it turned out though, it was a peaceful event and everybody went home safe
Who do you think had the better performance out of the two camps?
R.I.P. B.I.G.
Bad Boy Performance Part 1 - Craig Mack 'Flavor In Ya Ear' x Faith "Used To Love Me"
Bad Boy Performance Pt 2: Notorious B.I.G. & Total "Can't You See" x Junior Mafia "Players Anthem" x Notorious B.I.G. "One More Chance" remix
Death Row Records: Dr Dre "Keep your Heads Ringing" x Tha Dogg Pound "What Would You Do" x Lady Of Rade "Afro Puffs" x Snoop Dogg "Murder Was The Case" X DJ Quik

It’s not all playtime in L.A. for NBA All-Star weekend. Moments ago, Lenny Kravitz shared a pic of he, Drake, and Swizz in the studio before heading off to rehearse for tomorrow’s halftime show with Rihanna. Word on the curb is Kanye will also make an appearance to peform “All Of The Lights”. Time will tell.
Add Birdman, Drake and Diddy to Lil Kim's growing list of targets as she puts in work on Nicki Minaj.
The Queen Bee linked up with Ryan Cameron of Atlanta radio station V-103 and addressed all drama.
During the interview Kim clarified why she is beefing with Nicki and why Baby and Puffy are also in the line of fire.
RC: What was the straw that broke the camel's back? When was it you decided I've got to do something about this whole thing?
Kim: It was when she did an interview with [Hot 97's] Angie Martinez and the Roman's Revenge record definitely. It was time to cut all the buffoonery.
RC: You came out with the Black Friday [mixtape] 113,000 on Paypal. We called Paypal, people were saying it couldn't be done, but they said you can only do 1 particular transaction for $10,000, but you can have as many other transactions as you want. They were trying to dispute whether or not you even sold that many.
Kim: The haters are always gonna be there. I mean come on haters get on your job, we need you. It's a blessing and I just thank God that I have some amazing fans. They're the ones that's keeping me pushing.
RC: What would you say to fans that feel like you didn't need to stoop to that level and make a diss record?
Kim: Here's the deal - I have fans all over the world. Sometimes you gotta give the fans what they want. It may be a handful of people that feel this way or that way, but this is hip hop and thisis what it is. Plus this is how I really felt. If this wasn't how I really felt I don't think I'd be doing myself any justice,
RC: Did you ever pick up the phone and try to reach out to her people before you made these records?
Kim: Nah it was too far gone at that point. When something like this happens you don't go around trying to figure out what happened, you gotta handle your business 1st, that's just me. Baby tried to reach out a 100 times, Puffy tried to reach out. But I feel like both of them were a big major part of the problem so there was really nothing to talk about.
RC: Did you feel like it was disrespectful for Puffy to even get in on that given yall's history?
Kim: I feel it was very disrespectful because me knowing Puffy, being with Puffy for so long. I remember plent of times when I might have said something that might have been offensive about somebody. If this was back in the day Puffy would not let any of those records go out. As a matter of fact he would tell me, "no, no ,no you gotta change that", especially if it was somebody he had a relationship with, or he was getting money with, he wouldn't let that ride like that.
That's why it bothered me. He's sitting there saying "Oh she's mad because I'm working with another female." I mean, come on, how preposterous is that? How many females has he worked with that I was cool with or didn't have a problem with. It didn't make any sense to me.
RC: So after the Angie Martinez interview and Roman's Revenge recors there was no talking after that?
Kim: Right and for those that don't know, Because a lot of people look at the situation like "kim what is the problem, what happened?" Well here's the situation, here's how it all got started. I used to be really good friends with Slim [Birdman's brother] from Cash Money. Me and Slim were actually somewhat partners. At one point he put me in the studio, I was gonna do some type of partnership with him. Cause I always looked at Cash Money like they was one of the few that got the game. When I say got the game, I mean knew how to sell records. Me and Slim because friends for 4 years, we used to record out in Miami and he was going to help me get to the next level in my career.
Baby sent this song to me called "Grinding making money" and I loved it. I sent it back to em and I already had a feeling they were gonna wanna put homegirl [Nicki] on the record I kind of felt like me being over there is what they kid of accepted me so easily. I kind of felt like they wanted some type of help with homegirl and I didn't mind that because I felt like I already seen the direction they were going with her. So I said maybe if I come over there she'll stop throwing these shots that she be throwing. Because before i came over there I already seen the shots she used to be throwing on the low. But I didn't really pay that no attention because I feel like a lot of girls are misguided when they come in the industry. They always feel like whoever is on top, that's who I gotta go after.and that is not the way to do it. Coming in the game, do you.
They put the song out and I got a better response and I never heard back from them. They swagger jacked me for her.
Listen to the rest of the interview as Kim breaks down the back office politics that led to the drama. What her future holds and what it's like being her own boss.
And find out why she labels Drake as a "weak pink person."

(AllHipHop News) Police in Glendora, California used GPS tracking to locate a man who stole a variety of valuable items during a video shoot for Hip-Hop superstar, Lil Wayne.According to Glendora police, a Louis Vuitton purse, tickets to the NBA All-Star game, a wallet and a laptop were stolen from Lil Wayne's video shoot with artist Porcelain Black at Citrus College.According to SGVN.com, a tracking device within the laptop allowed police officers to track the laptop to a home in South El Monte, where 20-year-old Marco Negrete was arrested.Police said they recovered the stolen items from Negrete, who reportedly at the video shoot acting as a backup dancer, before he became an alleged thief.Negrete was taken to the Glendora jail, in lieu of $20,000 bail.
