As if Tiger Woods’s apology last week for his serial philandering wasn’t enough of a public humiliation, several of his former mistresses have agreed to take part in a beauty pageant in which they will compete for a $100,000 (£65,000) prize.

The Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant, organised by the US shock jock Howard Stern, will be held on March 10.

So far, only four of the golfer’s former mistresses — out of the 13 identified in the press — have agreed to take part.

They will compete in categories such as “Swimsuit”, “Personality”, and “Talent” to earn the judges’ votes.

When Mr Stern first announced the idea of the pageant, he said that it would take place only if more than three women responded. All of them had to have been named in news publications as lovers of the golfer.

The prize money for Mr Stern’s pageant will be supplied by AshleyMadison.com, a “discreet dating service” company. The site, which has 4.5 million users, advertises itself with the slogan “Life is Short, Have an Affair”.

Drake coached a basketball team in his "Best I Ever Had" music video, and he recently had a chance to call plays with NBA legend Magic Johnson during the NBA All-Star Game festivities in Dallas.

Drake and Magic's team beat the squad coached by Alonzo Mourning and assistant coach Mario Lopez. Common, Chris Tucker and Pitbull were among the celebs who played with athletes such as Rick Fox, Chris Mullin and Terrell Owens.

Magic, an NBA Hall of Famer, said working with Drake earned him cool points at home.

"Drake is bringing a lot to the table, man, with a young audience," Magic said in Dallas. "He's from Toronto. I think he's bringing it hard and heavy, you know? My daughter said I was cool because I was coaching with him instead of him coaching with me. All right, thank you!"

Meanwhile, LeBron James is like all of us, waiting on Drizzy's Thank Me Later debut. Put aside the fact that they both endorse Sprite or that Drake's "Forever" was the highlight of James' "More Than a Game" film soundtrack — #23 said the Toronto MC is just gifted.

"Unbelievable recording artist," LeBron said of Drake. "Unbelievable talent. I'm looking forward [to] his first LP. I think we all got So Far Gone and all the mixtapes he's come out with. But he's an unbelievable talent. He's great for everybody, great for music."

Rapper Juelz Santana's 27th birthday party turned into a battle royale Monday night when a club goer hopped the divider into the VIP area -- and got the living crap beat out of him while the rapper watched.

It's unclear exactly what started the brawl -- but the guy wearing the Rev Run hat definitely did something to piss off the mob waiting in the VIP section at M2 Ultralounge in New York.

After a failed attempt to defuse the situation, several men began wailing on the Rev Run-alike until he was on the ground. Somehow, the man emerged from the chaos and was able to leave the club.

Rapper Maino can be seen in the melee, but is never actually seen throwing a punch.

Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, and Ashanti were at the party during the mayhem ... but stayed out of it.

Lil Wayne feverishly filmed a series of music videos in the weeks leading up to what he thought would be his last day of freedom two weeks ago, before dental surgery postponed his prison sentence.

Director David Rousseau told MTV News that the Cash Money superstar recorded up to nine videos in one weekend, though most were in front of a green screen so his image could be added later to the finished clips. One video the rapper was on the set for, however, was his upcoming clip with Eminem for "Drop the World."

The collaboration between the two esteemed MCs is the next single from Wayne's Rebirth album. The pair performed a snippet of the track at last month's Grammy Awards.

Chris Robinson directed the "Drop the World" video and told MTV News on Tuesday (February 23) that the shoot — featuring the two heavyweight MCs — was comparable to a movie set.

"As a director, it's how do you, more than anything, combine these two artists together and create something that's special," he explained. "Because when you have two artists together, it's like, 'Oh, they'll stand next to each other [and that's it].' It's very awkward sometimes to have two very big stars. How are you gonna cover that? Especially two artists that are so big. You can do that with a performance at the Grammys, because the spectacle is to watch them onstage and sit in the audience and look at it. But as an artistic piece to have some magic, or if it's a mood piece or whatever way you communicate the music, you have to take two people into consideration with how you do that. And for me, I almost take it like a feature film: How did Scorsese put Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio in the same movie?"

The clip was filmed on the eve of the Grammys, Robinson said. It was a one-day shoot, and Wayne was on the set for upward of 14 hours. As of press time, no details regarding the premiere are available.

The "Drop the World" video is still being edited, Robinson said. It's likely the director will complete the final clip by the top of next week. Wayne is scheduled to begin his one-year jail sentence in New York on March 2 after undergoing eight root canals.

Robinson wouldn't reveal the premise of the video, but he promised the clip would match the song's intensity.

"You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together, and the way that the song is constructed is great," he said. "Because unless you see it coming, you don't know Eminem is on the track. The first two hooks and the first two verses are all Wayne, and it's kind of a surprise when Eminem comes through, and we matched it visually how Eminem enters the piece. From the concept and to just hearing the lyrics, with both of these amazing lyricists killing it, the whole video is just energy."

Alma Guerrero, left, was pushed out of harm’s way by Erinn Phelan, right, who sustained serious injuries in a New York City hit-and-run Sunday morning. The two friends are shown, above, at their graduation.

Video After The Jump

Erinn Phelan excelled in academics at Swampscott High School and at Brown University, and weeks after graduating last summer, she left New England for a dream job in New York City, working for Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s new volunteerism initiative.

Phelan came home often to visit her parents and former teachers. She planned to return next weekend to watch her alma mater compete in the Harvard Model Congress, one of the many extracurricular activities she participated in as a Swampscott High student.

But at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, as Phelan and her college roommate of three years, Alma Guerrero, crossed a street in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn, they were hit by an oncoming car. The driver didn’t stop.

As the car rushed toward them, Phelan, 22, attempted to push Guerrero, 23, out of harm’s way. Guerrero, who is enrolled in medical school at Brown, suffered a broken collarbone. But Phelan sustained a severe head injury that has left her brain dead.

Guerrero’s father told the New York Daily News Phelan pushed his daughter out of the way “to save her.”

Police are still searching for the driver of the car, an Acura Legend. According to authorities, the vehicle was found several blocks from the scene, and police believe the suspect, a young woman, fled by subway. Police are concentrating their search on Cindy Jasmin, 33, of the Bronx, who is the registered owner of the car.

Bloomberg hired Phelan as one of six coordinators for NYC Civic Corps, an initiative that supplies nonprofit agencies with volunteers and support services. He visited both women at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn Sunday night.

Yesterday morning, he spoke about Phelan, telling reporters, “this young woman is a fighter. She’s got a big heart and though she’s only been living here for a few short months, she’s a New Yorker and everyone in this city is pulling for her to get through this.’’

Her parents, John and Mary Phelan, have been holding vigil at their daughter’s room since arriving in New York hours after the incident.

In Swampscott, her grandfather, John Phelan Sr., said her act of selflessness in trying to protect her friend was not surprising. “That’s how she has always been, looking out for others,’’ he said.

The elder Phelan said his son drove to New York early Sunday immediately after receiving a call from police about what happened. “This has left the whole family grief-stricken,’’ he said. “We’re just waiting and praying.’’

In the summer after her freshman year at Brown, Erinn Phelan worked as an intern with the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

News of Phelan’s condition also sent a wave of grief through Swampscott High School, where she graduated in 2005.

Brian Salzer, the high school principal, said Phelan was close to several teachers, who considered her “more than a student, a friend.’’ Phelan returned to the school often, and her former teachers followed her career.

She was the one you knew was going to go places, because she had that great academic ability and was very service-minded,’’ he said.

Houston bred emcee Z-Ro, whose real name is Joseph Wayne McVey, is facing legal trouble for the third time after the Harris County Sheriff's Department charged the rapper for felony possession.

The self- proclaimed "King of the Ghetto" and Rap-A-Lot records MC has a trial date set for next Monday at the Harris County Courthouse from a February 2009 bust.

Police allege that McVey, 33, was in possession of a codeine mixture weighing more than 28 grams but less than 199 grams, including adulterants and dilutants.

Prior to the current charge, the rapper was charged in 2003 on another codeine charge, for which he eventually spent a couple of stints in prison after violating his probation.

This case came about two weeks after McVey was busted for misdemeanor marijuana possession and later found not guilty after taking the stand in his own defense at trial.

"The jury believed him when he said he didn't do it," Robert Jones, McVey's attorney, told the press. "He's a very honest, forthright person."

Although very honest, according to a report, another conviction could spell years behind bars.

"Right now, the penalty has been enhanced, so I would have to look that up to see what exactly that is, but I anticipate that he is going to trial because he didn't do anything, so the penalty is zero," Jones laughs.

Jones says his client is innocent of this charge. He says authorities found a bottle of pharmaceutical cough syrup in a bottle with someone else's name on the prescription in the back seat of a car in which McVey was riding.

Though set for Monday, Jones anticipates that the trial will be delayed, as he says that the D.A. has reindicted McVey for the same offense.

"They're trying to trump up the charges and make him scared so he'll take something," he says. "It is nothing more than a form of intimidation. It doesn't change the facts of the case at all."

It seems that the legal system is not playing around with rappers these days so we can only hope the best for Z-Ro. I just hope if he beats this case that he would run as far away from the “sizzurp” as possible.

Yeezy doesn't make an appearance in the video. Instead we see a woman running through the darkness from the Grim Reaper.

Not sure what the song and video have in common, but hey it's a music video. I guess it doesn't have to make sense.

Lil Wayne may have an impending jail sentence, but in recent days some news about the MC has set the Internet chatter ablaze: Does he have another baby on the way?

The Cash Money MC has been spotted attending events and snuggling with a new artist on his Young Money label named Shanell. The Massachusetts-born/Atlanta-raised songstress (real name: Shanell Woodgett), sister of former Danity Kane member D. Woods, began as a background dancer for artists like Kandi Burress, Petey Pablo and Ne-Yo before deciding to write songs. Teaming with her high school friend and producer Bangladesh, Shanell recorded a demo tape and aimed to become an artist herself along with writing for other people. She met Wayne while serving as a back-up dancer for Ne-Yo during the Up Close and Personal Tour (which featured the rapper along with Chris Brown) and eventually passed the rapper Bangladesh's beat for "A Milli," which became a huge street hit for the Young Money leader. Soon after, Shanell joined Lil Wayne's artist enclave and began recording, touring and performing her single "Play in My Band" as well as co-writing songs for Wayne.

Now, as she preps her as-yet-untitled debut album, Shanell said the rumors about whether she's dating Lil Wayne have run rampant but have no basis in reality.

"Basically it came from a corny rumor that escalated," Shanell told MTV News. "First I was dating him, then I was his girlfriend, then we were getting married, then we were settling down and now I'm pregnant. It's so foolish we've haven't paid it any attention."

So what of the widely circulated photo where the two are hugging?

"We're taking a picture," she said.

The singer-songwriter says that the dating rumors were fine, but the pregnancy chatter was not.

"All the rest of the rumors were kinda funny except that one," she admitted. "When my mother called me like, 'Um?,' [I was] like, 'No! Are you serious?' I don't care about the rumors, but I just want people to know that I'm not pregnant. I've got an album coming out, I'm a dancer, I'm in shape and children are not anywhere in my future."

Lil Wayne agrees.

"Let me clear up this rumor, man: Shanell is not pregnant from me," Wayne said in a serious tone on a Ustream video last weekend. "Shanell isn't even pregnant! Period. Clear that up right now, man. Everybody talking about Shanell pregnant by ... No, she not even pregnant. Period."

Lil Wayne may not be the father this go round, but he saw the birth of three sons — from an unnamed Ohio native, singer Nivea Nash and actress Lauren London — between 2008 and 2009 alone. His first child's name is Reginae Carter, from his marriage to Toya Carter.

Allen Iverson is going to miss the next three games with the Philadelphia 76ers due to an undiagnosed illness of his four-year-old daughter, Messiah. He already missed two weeks earlier in the year due to the sickness. The Sixers are calling his leave "indefinite," according to the Camden Courier Post.

"At this time, we feel that it is in the best interest of the Sixers, Allen and his family that he be allowed to deal with a very serious issue that is far greater than the game of basketball," Sixers president and general manager Ed Stefanski said.

Some are thinking this could be it for Iverson and the Sixers, though. Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported yesterday that some in the organization are ready to send Iverson packing. The fact that it's never clear when Iverson is going to be in the lineup or not is starting to bug folks.

Sixers coach Eddie Jordan supposedly told his players on Sunday that Iverson might not be back.

Jennifer Lopez has parted ways with her record label, Sony’s Epic Records, as first reported by Deadline.com’s Nikki Finke (Lopez’s rep confirms the split to EW). The once-hot singer-actress had begun to stage her musical comeback late last year when she released a new single, “Louboutins,” and then fell while singing it at November’s American Music Awards. (See photo at left.) This likely means that Lopez’s seventh studio album, LOVE?, will not hit stores in April as had previously been planned.

Finke cites insiders who said that Lopez’s last two singles (“Louboutins” and “Fresh Out the Oven”) fulfilled the contract she had with Epic, and that LOVE?—said to feature production work from the Neptunes and Darkchild—was never finished. Lopez’s manager Benny Medina told Finke in a statement that “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.”

Lopez apparently isn’t walking away from her music career: Her rep tells EW that the singer is currently negotiating with another label.

Lopez is still set to host Saturday Night Live this coming weekend. Although, now it seems she doesn’t even have an album-in-the-works to pimp during the monologue. Should she possibly just pursue a talk-show gig instead? Weigh in below,
