Artist Rock Mayfield is a lyrical storyteller born in Racine, Wisconsin, but rooted not far from home in Burlington, Wisconsin. He was raised in a single parent household with a determined mother fighting to make sure he had the best of the world we live in. Despite his mother efforts, Rock meet tragedy early on. At the tender age of 4, Rock was exposed to domestic violence due to alcoholism from a family member and by the age of 5 his father left as he was sent to prison.
Rock Mayfield grow older and tragedy continued. During his Freshman Year of High School, his close cousin was murdered in a homicide shooting. Within the same timeframe, he became suicidal, began to self inflict harm on himself, and continuously lashed out on others while dealing with an unhealthy teen romance. Reflecting on the struggles and tragedies he faced, he decided to live and use his words through music to help and inspire others to live unapologetic and well. Music helped Rock Mayfield deal with a lot of unresolved feelings and as a result, Rock and his father mended their broken relationship 3 months before his father died. Tragedy Strikes again! This time through music, Rock Mayfield was able to cope. In honor of his father, the artist decided to add “Rock” in front of his last name “Mayfield” to remind him of his father and to remain hard like a “Rock” in hard times.
Today, Rock Mayfield states his claim on the world of music. Determined to be a voice for those unwilling to speak for themselves, he decided to turn real life situations into words that would command the ears of listeners. Musical Influences from artists like Tupac, Travis Barker, The Game, T.I. and Eminem to name a few fueled his fire as their lyrics were able to reach his soul. With thoughts of his influencers in mind, mixed with his love for Rap, Punk Rock, and Alternative Rock, he put a pen in his hand and forced a pad to hold the lyrics his music displays today.
When asked what do you want to be remembered for, Rock Mayfield replied, “For being a diverse artist and using my lyrics to help all people despite race to use music as their comfort zone.” Music has been a comfort zone for Rock Mayfield. Some may even say it saved his life. Known to his fans for his unique recreation of cover songs, he left listeners speechless with his original track “Redemption” which is currently out and streaming worldwide. The song “Redemption” is about him finding vindication from self harm and suicidal thoughts. Rock Mayfield wants listeners to remember Tupac said it best “Only God Can Judge Me.” Redemption is a choice for those who seek it.
Rock Mayfield is currently performing and completing his upcoming album. Early this year, 2019, he released a new song with Bizarre from D12 titled "Cuz I'mma' Rapper" where he pays homage to gangster rap and pokes fun at the current state of Hip-Hop. The song, “Cuz I'mma' Rapper” is currently available on all digital music platforms." With His mom, Mayfield Mafia fanbase, and support system in mind, he plans to deliver more original music geared toward helping more people. Stay tuned for more from the artist. Be sure to search “Rock Mayfield” on Spotify, Itunes
, Soundcloud, and Amazon Music.
On November 2nd 2019 Rock Mayfield released his new song "2:30AM" featuring Hip-Hop/R&B artist Lilly Whyte. In Rock's new song "2:30 AM" Rock talks about catching his then girlfriend cheating on him with her ex at "2:30 AM."

Page Six -- Embattled music mogul Damon Dash was arrested on Wednesday afternoon — accused of owing more than $400,000 in child support.
Dash, who is best known for founding Roc-A-Fella records with Jay-Z, was led into Bronx Family Court in cuffs after two felony warrants were issued for his arrest, the New York City Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
“We’ve been looking to arrest him since 2015,” NYC Sheriff Joseph Fucito said, confirming the former record executive was nabbed in Manhattan without incident.
Authorities have spent the last four years trying to convince Dash to turn himself in after he fled New York, one law enforcement source said.
The 49-year-old is accused of owing hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support to his two baby mamas but says he is broke — filing legal documents last week claiming he has no income.
The sheriff’s office confirmed the arrest warrants were issued in relation to the $404,000 in child support that Dash owed to ex-wife Rachel Roy and baby mama Cindy Morales.
In April 2015, a Bronx family court judge issued an arrest warrant for Dash — ordering him to pay $62,000 to Morales. This year, a Supreme Court divorce warrant was issued for Dash after he was found guilty of contempt of court and was ordered to pay $342,000 to Roy.
On Wednesday, Dash emerged from family court holding hands with his fiancee Raquel Horn — two lawyers and a private film crew in tow — and ranted about how he had been crucified “just like Jesus Christ” while claiming he had paid the child support and had no cash flow problems.
“Ain’t no money problems,” the mogul said, dressed in dark shades and a camel coat, as a small crowd of fans gathered outside court.
“I went to turn myself in with money! I already paid it! And I still walked it with cuffs,” he railed, adding: “No more warrants. Everything is clear.”
But in a filing in Manhattan federal court last week, Dash said his personal income was “virtually nonexistent” and claimed his only revenue stream was payments from “Empire” creator Lee Daniels who owed him $2 million.
Dash, a father of three, said he was facing additional unexpected expenses because his current fiancée, Raquel Horn, was pregnant.
In November, Daniels and Dash settled a $2 million feud over claims Dash was cut out of producer credits and profits on the hit series — with Daniels agreeing to pay the music producer in installments.
But in his Manhattan filing, Dash said the money hadn’t been forthcoming and claimed the payments had been held up because creditors were garnishing his income.
“It is very difficult to address the mounting bills until I receive some relief from the courts,” he wrote.
On Wednesday, the record executive accused both his baby mamas of gouging him for cash.
“They’re pieces of dog shit because they put money before family values,” Dash said. “I’m very disappointed in Rachel in not caring about her children, relationship with her children, before bread. It’s all been about money.”
Attorneys for Dash, Roy and Morales did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Firefighters reported that Edward Cyr was out to dinner with his wife when he saw the fire.
"Without regard for his own safety, he pulled the driver from a burning car which just exploded as he turned the corner," said Chief David Lucia, Stafford Fire Department.
Cyr brought Glennwood Little to safety.
The rescue was captured on a surveillance camera that was positioned on Town Hall.
"Mr. Cyr, you are a hero," Lucia said.

You knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when.
Charles Barkley has apologized for remarks he made to Axios reporter, Alexi McCammond.
As we previously reported, the NBA Hall of Famer and McCammond were discussing the 2020 presidential on Tuesday when he told her, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”
The comments were supposed to be off the record, but McCammond posted them to her Twitter account.
Barkley's apology came via a tweet from Turner Sports Public Relations. Turner Sports owns TNT where Barkley works as an analyst on NBA broadcasts.
“My comment was inappropriate and unacceptable," the statement read. "It was an attempted joke that wasn’t funny at all. There’s no excuse for it and I apologize.”
McCammond responded by retweeting the apology and added a written response.
"The comments Charles Barkley made to me are not acceptable," McCammond wrote. "Threats of violence are not a joke, & no person deserves to be hit or threatened like that. Silence only allows the culture of misogyny to fester. And those kinds of comments don't merit off-the-record protections."
This may or may not be the end of the saga depending on how Turner Sports chooses to handle it from here.
Statement on behalf of Charles Barkley in response to tweet by Axios reporter Alexi McCammond:

The reporter at the center of a firestorm surrounding Charles Barkley may now find herself in hot water.
Alexi McCammond accused Charles Barkley of threatening her with violence when he reportedly told her, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”
The two were in the middle of a discussion Tuesday about the 2020 presidential election when the comments were made.
Barkley has since issued a public apology to the Axios reporter.
Since then, someone has dug up old tweets from McCammond in which she disparages Asians.
On September 3, 2011 she tweeted, "now googling how to not wake up with swollen, asian eyes..."
That was followed up on October 15, 2011 when McCammond wrote, "give me a 2/10 on my chem problem, cross out all of my work and don't explain what I did wrong..thanks a lot stupid asian T.A. you're great."
There's been no response from McCammond or Axios since the tweets were uncovered.

After the first film crossed the $1 billion mark in earnings, it should come as no surprise that there is talk of a sequel to "Joker."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joaquin Phoenix will reprise his role as Arthur Fleck.
Director Todd Phillips is in talks to repeat his role as director for a second Joker outing (he and Scott Silver, who penned the original Joker screenplay, will write the follow-up), THR reports.
Phillips also managed to convince Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich, to allow him to use at least one other DC characters' origin story for the film.
No word on when production may start on "Joker 2."

During a discussion about the 2020 presidential election, Charles Barkley told Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”
McCammond took offense and despite the comment being off the record, she tweeted it out anyway.
Was Barkley joking? Probably. Has he said or done worse in the past? Definitely. But these are different times we’re living in, where political correctness is expected.
Are they about to “Me Too” the NBA legend? Do you think his job as a TNT basketball analyst is in jeopardy?
Just FYI Charles Barkley told me tonight “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you,” and then when I objected to that he told me I “couldn’t take a joke.”

TMZ -- Ol' Dirty Bastard is the inspiration behind a brand of brew courtesy of Young Dirty Bastard ... who says he's getting into the beer biz because his late pops loved a cold one.
The new adult beverage is a honey ale called Young Dirty Brew ... and ODB's kid says he's wanted to honor his father with a drink ever since he first saw his pops sipping on Olde English.
Young Dirty Bastard's rep, Avery "Msartistry," tells TMZ ... the rapper poured in $60,000 to make his childhood dream a reality, and worked with Circa Brewing to stir up the right brew and get if off the ground.
The late Wu-Tang rapper's probably smiling down on his son. As you can see, Young Dirty Bastard was heavily involved in the brewing process, channeling his father's style along the way.
We're told YDB and his biz partners, Divine Everlasting and Logan Feldman, took about 6 months to perfect their ale, and 100 cases go on sale New Year's Eve in select New York liquor stores, bars and online.
Of course, if you get your hands on one ... be sure to pour a little out for ODB.

TMZ -- It looks like Kodak Black is gonna be a superman when he walks out of a federal prison -- that is, if he sticks to his higher education plan, which includes a little nihilistic philosophy!!!
Sources close to the incarcerated MC tell TMZ ... on the heels of getting sentenced to 46 months in prison, Kodak's shooting to get a college diploma by the time he gets out. We're told he's interested in pursuing business and marketing. The federal prison in Florida where he's doing his time offers classes, and he plans to register.
That's not where his learning road ends. Our sources say Kodak's actually planning to take the SAT when he's eventually released in hopes of getting into the University of Florida and earning a bachelor's degree.
Of course, this follows his previous goal of wanting a GED about a year ago while he was locked up. We're told he ended up getting it, BTW.
And, as if biz and marketing reading isn't enough, we're told he'll be supplementing that with some other literature to get his creative juices flowing -- good, old-fashioned Friedrich Nietzche books, in fact. Ah yes, "The Death of God," "The Superman" and "The Will To Power." Heavy stuff, but time's on his side. Sorta.
In addition to his nearly 4-year sentence, Kodak was just hit with two new counts of gun possession last week and could get up to 30 more years for each charge.
