Audio After The Jump

As we previously reported, legendary producer/rapper Erick Sermon suffered a heart attack last week. Luckily, he got to the hospital in time to be treated before his condition worsened.

Sermon called into Sway's Shade 45 show earlier today to describe what happened leading up to the heart attack.

"I was downstairs on Wednesday night (November 9) making this record. I was kind of excited because I hadn't made any beats in a while. So, I was kind of happy about that," Sermon said. "I went upstairs and sat on the sofa and I got two sharp pains in my left hand side. And I said, 'maybe I'm sitting wrong.' and I positioned myself differently on the sofa. Then i sat there watching tv and started getting heart palpitations like if you're working out, but I wasn't doing nothing. I stayed there until about 3 or 4 in the morning until I fell asleep. Then around 12 o'clock that afternoon I got the same pain in my left hand side. So, I said 'you know what? let me go to the emergency room.' I was planning to just come back home. When I got there, as soon as I hit the door, my whole left side cramped up on me and the heart palpitations started going really fast again and I started to get the pains again."

Sermon goes on to describe how when they took his blood pressure it was 200 over 190.

"If I didn't get there in time, I would've suffered a stroke first, then I really would've been in trouble," he said. "So when I got to the emergency room, they did all these tests and said that the heart attack was a mild one."

Sermon stressed that the wrong foods as well as drinking and smoking can really have a negative affect on your heart.

"The food that you eat, or if you're smoking and drinking that (your heart) gets affected quick," the 42-year old added.

Video After The Jump

Wale pays tribute to one of his favorite films in his new music video for "Lotus Flower Blomb" featuring Miguel.

We wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite love stories, Poetic Justice,” Wale told Rap-Up.com. “I play the mailman coming to the salon. It’s my acting debut. I feel acting is something I can do easily ’cause I can tell myself that I’m somebody and become them.”

The song is featured on Wale's new album, Ambition.

A lot of video vixens are here today and gone tomorrow. Rosa Acosta has proven you can last quite a while in the business if you market yourself correctly and work hard.

These days the 25-year old beauty from the Dominican Republic is keeping quite busy with modeling and acting work. She sat down with lecremenation to chop it up about her hectic life and what she's been up to lately.

LCN: Hi Rosa, glad to have you back again. How’s everything been for you this year?
ROSA: Even better than last year! Thanks for having me again.

LCN: What were you doing before you sat down to do the interview?
ROSA: I just got back from a casting for a vodka company. They ended up calling me back but I’m not available the dates they want me.

LCN: Damn, that sucks. Hey I’ve been wanting to ask you since the last time we talked… What was up with that “wet one” Amber Rose planted on you, or did you plant it on her?
ROSA: Nothing, we are just friends...

12349076101?profile=originalRosa & Amber Rose

LCN: Word. Okay Rosa, you’re a very accomplished Supermodel. Before the modeling, you danced. Are you still active in ballet dancing when away from the cameras? ROSA: No I’m not training anymore. I did dance for over 18 years; the last 4 were professionally with the Ballet Nacional Dominicano. My days as a classical ballet dancer are over. I do take jazz, hip hop, modern and Latin dance classes.
LCN: I see you was feature in the new issue of Smooth Magazine Warrior Princess Edition. How fun was that for you to work with 50 Cent?
ROSA: It was great. It’s always a pleasure for me to work with him. My first time working with him was at a video shoot for the song “Funeral Music”; I later did the “Ok You’re Right” music video and also the XXL Eye Candy of the Year shoot with him (XXL Magazine). But this time it was different because he was actually behind the camera. 50 Cent was the photographer for the whole issue. I think he did an amazing job.

12349077081?profile=original
LCN: You've been doing your thing. Im sure every man wants to know; will we see Rosa Acosta in Playboy?
ROSA: No, sorry guys.

LCN: Do you think shooting nude for a magazine such as Playboy or Hustler will hurt your marketability or minimize your respect?
ROSA: Welcome to America!!!  When you have a great marketing/PR team behind you, you can make people “respect” you after you do a sex tape, pose nude or become somebody’s (famous) mistress. But like I mentioned, I have no interest in shooting naked. I’ve already done a lot!

LCN: But I’m sure after seeing your work  photographers and editors have pursued you about posing nude. None have swayed you?
ROSA: I think I have shown you guys enough! Nobody has tried to make me pose nude at all. I don’t think I am in a position in my career and life where people can even try to make me do things. I make my own decisions and that’s not were I’m headed.

LCN: As you know, I follow you… I want to know; what the hell happened between you and Wale? Emotions were touched but you never really addressed the jabs he threw at you on twitter to avoid conflict & “twitter beef” Is everything cool between you two?
ROSA:I love when people talk about me but I don’t talk about them. It only shows how insignificant they are to me but how important I am to them. But there is this misconception about rappers and males in general that they don’t have feelings or cry and I thought it was very nice from him to show otherwise. He sounded really cute crying all over twitter and interviews. God bless him...

LCN: Wow, ironically I just got word that Wale JUST apologized for the twitter beef with you on Funk Master Flex Show while promoting his album Ambition on Hot 97...
ROSA:I haven’t heard that interview and won’t bother in doing that because I DON’T need an apology from him. He is insignificant to me. I wish him the best and may God bless him. From the very beginning I could be responding to him in the same immature, disrespectful way he did. But I prefer to sit, watch, and laugh at the whole thing. That is if I actually had the time to sit and watch. I am too busy living my life to care about stupidity.

Photos After The Jump

Rihanna has released some promotional photographs for her new album Talk That Talk, which hits stores November 21.

The 23-year old beauty has never been afraid to show a little skin, but these pics are fairly tame. That may have something to do with the pop star's new toned down approach. She recently told Ryan Seacrest she doesn't want to become a "gimmick."

I kinda just wanted to scale right back instead of having a look,” she said. “I didn’t want to make it such a big deal about what hair color or what cut. I just wanted to go right back to something simple and something flexible, something a little more natural. It’s more about the music. I don’t want to become a gimmick ever.

While her looks may be less risque, her lyrics are not. Check out the 8 dirtiest quotes from Riri's new album as compiled by Terron R. Moore over at Ology.com.

“Suck my cockiness / Lick my persuasion
Eat my poison and swallow your pride down, down.”

“I be tryin’ to chill / B*tches wanna f*ck me

Every little city I go, f*ck me
Shorty must’ve heard, Got the word I move that D”

“I love it when you eat it. I love it when you eat it.”

“I can be your dominatrix / Just submit to my every order
Enter my diamond matrix / If you want my golden flower.”

“I know you wanna bite this / It’s so enticing
Nothin’ else like this / I’mma make you my b*tch.”

“It’s not even my birthday / But he wanna lick the icing off
I know you want it in the worst way / Can’t wait to blow my candles out.”

“Oooh, I wanna f*ck you right now.”

“Yes, I’m kinda crazy / That’s what happens baby
When you put it down / You shouldn’tve given it to me good like that
Shouldn’t have hit it like that / Had me yelling like that”

Riri aint playing around, lol.

Jay-Z is apparently not worried about the recent backlash he received for selling 'Occupy Wall Street' inspired t-shirts.

As we previously reported, Hov was criticized for selling $22 dollar t-shirts with the words "Occupy All Streets" emblazoned on them, without giving anything back to the cause.

When the t-shirts temporarily disappeared from Rocawear's website it was thought that Hov had given in to the criticism and stopped selling them, but they are now back on sale again.

The fight every boxing fans wants to see is in jeopardy once again of not happening.

After Manny Pacquiao won his third fight against Juan Manuel Marquez Saturday night it seemed to clear the way for a May 2012 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, if the two parties could agree on the particulars. Now, it appears that Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum is trying to lock up a fourth fight with Marquez instead for May.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN.com that he was notified of Arum's intentions by Judge Daniel Weinstein. Waienstein has mediated issue between Golden Boy and Arum's Top Rank in the past.

"I am sick and tired of Bob Arum twisting the truth. It's another case of 'yesterday I was lying, today I'm telling the truth,' " Schaefer told ESPN.com. "The truth of the matter is that we received this afternoon an email from retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein, who has informed us that Top Rank is pursuing a rematch with Marquez and, therefore, is not interested in immediate talks for a possible Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. This is obviously as clear as it can be that they have no intentions of making a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Therefore, Floyd Mayweather will have no other choice than to move on and identify and lock in another opponent for his ring return on May 5."

12349084655?profile=original

Leonard Ellerbe, one of Mayweather's advisors said that in his opinion Arum, Freddie Roach and Pac Man are scared to make the fight with Money May happen.

"In my opinion, you have three cowards -- Bob Arum, (Pacquiao trainer) Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao," Ellerbe told ESPN.com. "Now we all know the truth once and for all why this fight hasn't been made. It should be clear to everyone that they don't care what the fans want, especially when Floyd is ready, willing and able to fight Manny Pacquiao now. Floyd said if this isn't clear, he doesn't know what is.

"All along we know why the fight isn't being made. This is the perfect opportunity. Both guys just fought. This is the fight the fans want to see, and it's a disgrace that they are not willing to give the fans what they want. In my opinion, there are three reasons why Arum doesn't want the fight. He knows there is no way that Manny Pacquiao can win, it kills his cash cow, and he wants to do in-house fights where he controls both sides. I said all along why this fight hasn't been made to this point. Manny Pacquiao knows, Bob Arum knows and Freddie Roach knows."

Arum denied knowing anything about an email being sent to Mayweather's team, but he did acknowledge he was pursuing a fourth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez.

"We are pursuing a fourth fight with Marquez," Arum said. "As far as doing anything definitively, we aren't ready to do anything definitively. When we are ready to make a determination of what we are going to do, we will do it. We are not going to do this in the press. We will do what is in the best interest of ourselves and our client and make a decision when it's time to. If we decide we want to do a rematch with Marquez, there is no reason to sit down with Mayweather. If we want to explore a Mayweather fight, we will sit down with them. But I'm not going to sit down with them just because it's a good show."

12349084870?profile=originalBob Arum

As far as Mayweather is concerned there is no point in the Filipino champion fighting Marquez again.

"Why? I mean, I truly feel that Marquez is never going to get the benefit of the doubt," Mayweather told Fighthype.com. "I want to congratulate Marquez and I want to congratulate Manny Pacquiao for doing it a third time, but I just feel like if you get it done right the first time, there's no need for a second or third fight, and if it is needed, do it again in the same fashion and in the same way, or do it even better. People fail to realize, when I faced Marquez, I was two years off just traveling and vacationing. I took two years off, no working out, no other activities. I went into training camp and then the fight had got pushed back because I had an injury, so that pushed it back a little bit more, but I still went out there and performed and looked marvelous. If I fight a guy and I don't knock him out, they say, "Well, Mayweather didn't knock him out." If I knock him out in the late rounds, they say, "Well, what took so long?" If I knock him out in the early rounds, they say, "Well, you can always catch a guy cold." Like I said before, I'm always in a no-win situation. If I fight a guy that's my age, they're going to say, "You know what? He's over the hill." When I fought Marquez, they said Marquez was over the hill. Remember, when I fought Marquez, I think he was 36 and I was 32. Now, two years later, Pacquiao is 32 and Marquez is 38."

So, once again it looks like boxing fans will be deprived of the one mega fight the sport has to offer.

Video After The Jump

Dr. Dre's success in the music business is well documented. From his days as a member of N.W.A., to his solo career and production work for artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Eve, Mary J. Blige, Scarface, Xzibit and many more. After 27-years of providing some of hip hop's best music, the industry veteran says it's time to slow it down.

In a new interview with Fader, Dre talks about concentrating on working with California MC's Slim The Mobster and Kendrick Lamar on their upcoming projects before starting to spend more quality time with his loved ones.

"These are the next two artists that I'm working on, Slim The Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. I think after that I'm gonna wrap it up for a minute," Dre said. "Because I've been doing music for 27 years now and the longest I've ever been out out the studio in 27 years, is 2 weeks. So, I feel like I'm going to take a little bit of a break. I'm never gonna stop music it's like air to me. I'm gonna take a little bit of a break. Enjoy some time with the family until I get that itch to get back in."

Dre doesn't mention Detox at all during the interview. Hopefully that is still on the horizon.

Jay-Z is one of four people to be honored as GQ's Men of the Year 2011. Joining Hov are Mila Kunis, Michael Fassbender and Jimmy Fallon.

Hov sat down with GQ writer Alex Pappademas and opened up about everything from his dad leaving when he was 11-years old, the decision to reveals Beyonce's pregnancy, the song "N*ggas In Paris" and more.

Did he and Kanye West argue a lot during the making of 'Watch the Throne'?

Only about what's best for the song, which is great.

On dealing with Kanye's need to be a perfectionist

I think he just can't help himself. He puts so much into everything, and he's like, 'You have to treat it like I treat it.' It drives you crazy sometimes—like when you've put seventy-five versions of a snare on one song and he's like, 'No!' and you're like, 'Come on, man.'

On the song "N*ggas In Paris"

It's not, like, 'We're here! We're balling harder than everybody,' It's like, 'I'm shocked that we're here.' Still being amazed, still not being jaded. Having so much fun and then stopping and saying, 'What are we doing here? How did we get here?'

On his father, Adnis Reeves

If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts—but it's not like you had a connection with something that was real. Not to say it's any better—but to have that connection and then have it ripped away was, like, the worst. My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero.

While the world is still mourning the death of hip hop pioneer Heavy D, who passed away last week at age 44, his peers are remembering his influence on the game.

One such peer is DMX, who credits Heavy with inspiring him to pursue a rap career.

"Heavy D was the first celebrity that I ever seen in my life. He's from Mount Vernon (New York). The first person from Westchester County to make it big," X said. "Before it was all these people from Brooklyn and The Bronx getting on. So, now it was somebody I could relate to. He gave me hope that it could be done."

Dark Man X also recalled the last time he saw Heavy.

"I seen him at the [2011] BET Awards. And he hugged me so hard it picked me off my feet, and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It was a little weird, but you know I was like, 'Wow this dude really got a lot of love and respect for me.' Then to find out that he passed...I couldn't believe it."
