Damon Dash loves his cousin Stacey. He just doesn't agree with a lot of her opinions.
During a conversation with Boyce Watkins, the former Roc-A-Fella Records co-owner addressed Stacey's call to abolish BET, the BET Awards, the NAACP Image Awards and Black History Month during an appearance on Fox News'"Outnumbered."
"I'm used to it. Stacey's always saying something that's gonna invoke an emotion. Especially when it comes to the culture. It's annoying having a cousin that looks like that and has an opinion that works for Fox News," Damon said. "Everyone's entitled to their own perspective. I just think that there has to be a consciousness of how it affects other people. I would never say no crazy shit like that."
Dash agreed with Watkins opinion that his cousin was trying to "ruffle feathers" in an attempt to be seen as "the black Ann Coulter."
"I think that seems fairly obvious. When you get on Fox News and you say something as shocking as that, I think you would probably know what the repercussions and the backlash is," Damon reasoned. "I think Fox pays her to say that shit. I know how Fox is. You know how manipulative they are. I think they wanted her to do something that would invoke conversation and she did it. I'm quite sure it wasn't done for free. It isn't the best thing to hear Dash associated with cooning."

Iggy Azalea's new single titled "Azillion" didn't take off, at least not to her label's satisfaction, so Virgin EMI told her there won't be a music video shot for it.
That angered the "Fancy" rapper enough that she aired her feelings out via Twitter and accused the label's President, Ted Cockle, of trying to hold her career back.
"Bad news update:my record label Virgin/EMI seems to feel the response to my viral record "zillon" wasnt good enough & im not allowed a video," she wrote on the social networking site. "I felt like it was dope so, whatever. ted cockle doesnt wanna see me shine. what can i say. They expect me to find a pop star to wack onto a radio friendly song with me rapping the verses. That’s what THEY want. It’s Cockle’s fault.”
Azalea went on to say that she wants to switch toDef Jam, which also falls under theUniversal Music Groupumbrella, but is being blocked by Cockle.
"im trying to switch to just Def Jam but cockle is making it hard," she continued.
Some of the tweets have since been deleted, but you can check out the rest and the song "Azillion" below.
Iggy might want to rethink this strategy. Throwing shots at the person who is in control of your career could backfire.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson knows what it's like to lose a belt. He also knows that you can't let a setback keep you from getting back in there to reclaim what you believe is yours.
Ronda Rousey has reportedly been in a funk since suffering her first loss and the Women's Bantamweight Championship, when she was knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November.
During his appearance this week on the Conan O'Brien show, Iron Mike, offered Ronda a bit of advice.
"She has to understand, we’re in the hurt business," Tyson said. "I don’t care if you’re the king of the hurt business, we’re in the business where we get hurt. And um, she’s just gotta be seen, come out of the house. I see she’s been around, show your face. You’re human. She’s just unfortunate that she’s a Goliath. David is a great king, he’s done great things. He built the civilization. But he’s more famous for beating Goliath."
With Super Bowl 50 set for February 7, the timing couldn't be better for EFFEN Vodka and brand partner 50 Cent to unveil a custom football bottle.

This collaboration, which includes integrations in social media, retail programming and brand-sponsored events, as well as in 50's performances, music videos and network, has already succeeded in introducing EFFEN (Dutch for "smooth") to thousands of new, legal-purchase-age fans.
"50 Cent is one of the hardest-working businessmen out there and has played an integral role in the triple-digit growth of EFFEN Vodka this past year," said Jason Dolenga, Senior Brand Director, Vodka at Beam Suntory. "We're excited to launch this limited edition football bottle to give our fans a taste of the exciting things to come from EFFEN and 50 Cent in the future."

Will Smith sat down with ABC's "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts on Thursday, January 21, to weigh in on the growing Oscar Awards controversy over the lack of diversity among nominees.
"When I see this list of nominations that come out, everybody is fantastic. And that's the complexity of this issue," Smith told Roberts. "Everyone is beautiful and deserving and it's fantastic. But it feels like it's going the wrong direction. When I look at it, the nominations reflect the Academy. The Academy reflects the industry, reflects Hollywood. And the industry reflects America. Reflects a series of challenges that we are having in our country at the moment. There's a regressive slide towards separatism. Towards racial and religious disharmony."
Smith, who many felt should have been nominated for his role in "Concussion," said he will join his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and boycott this year's Oscars.
"My wife's not going. It would be awkward for me to show up with Charlize (Theron)," he added. "We've discussed it, but at this current time, we're uncomfortable to stand there and say this is OK."

The backlash from African Americans over Stacy Dash's call to get rid of BET, the BET Awards and Black History Month continues to grow.
As we previously reported, Dash appeared on Fox's "Outnumbered" Wednesday, January 20, and offered her opinion on Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett-Smith's statements that they would not be attending the 2016 Oscar Awards because of the lack of recognition for people of color.
"I think it's ridiculous," she said. "Because we have to make up our minds, either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you are only awarded if you are black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms, its a double standard. Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. We're Americans, period. That's it"
Houston rapper Bun B responded via his Instagram page.
“You’re black,” Bun said a caption of a now deleted photo.”Hating yourself and us won’t make them love you.”
Can't wait to see if Fox News gets at me for my comments. Bringing up my lyrics and shit. They don't want it. https://t.co/Epl1zoXbu7
UFC Featherweight champion Conor McGregor is still seething over Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s comments that race has helped him achieve stardom faster than he would have if he wasn't white.
During a media conference call for McGregor's upcoming bout at UFC 197 on March 5, for Rafael dos Anjos' lightweight title, the Irish fighter was asked about Mayweather's opinion.
“I think Floyd needs to learn before he opens his mouth,” McGregor said. “You don’t put a man like me in a situation like that. You are putting me in a name that has got to do with prejudice when you don’t know nothing about me. I am a multi-cultural individual. I take from all cultures. I am a product of many cultures as a young Irish man. I know he wasn’t saying I am (racist), but he was putting me in that bracket. I didn’t appreciate that one bit. There’s people buried in the desert for less than that. Floyd needs to understand before he speaks who he is speaking about, and that is that.”
As we previously reported, this beef began when Mayweather spoke to Fighthype earlier this month when the subject of McGregor and Ronda Rousey's rapid ascension to stardom came up.
The former boxing champion believes racial bias still exists in combat sports and played a part in the two UFC fighter's success.
"Ronda Rousey, you know, I think she fought somewhere like 11 or 12 fights, which is not a bad thing. Laila Ali went undefeated and was dominating too. After Ronda Rousey fought I think 9, 10, 11 fights, it didn't even take that long, she got all types of endorsements, movies and everything," Mayweather said at the time. "Laila Ali did the same thing in better fashion. Ronda Rousey, she's a good looking woman when she put it on. Laila Ali is a drop-dead gorgeous woman; I mean a naturally beautiful woman and can kick ass, but you never heard them [the media] saying when she had I think somewhere around 10, 11, 12 fights that she was the baddest woman to ever fight on the planet. And what's so crazy, I don't really know the McGregor guy; never seen him fight. I heard his name actually from one of the runners that works for our company; a little kid named Ken Hopkins, he's a runner and takes care of a lot of the daily business. Whatever we need, he takes care of. He's a cool little kid, I like him, and he does MMA. He told me about the guy McGregor. They say he talk a lot of trash and people praise him for it, but when I did it, they say I'm cocky and arrogant. So biased! Like I said before, all I'm saying is this, I ain't racist at all, but I'm telling you racism still exists."
McGregor responded with a lengthy post on his Facebook page, challenging Mayweather fo a fight.
"Floyd Mayweather, don't ever bring race into my success again. I am an Irishman. My people have been oppressed our entire existence. And still very much are. I understand the feeling of prejudice. It is a feeling that is deep in my blood," McGregor wrote. "In my family's long history of warfare there was a time where just having the name 'McGregor' was punishable by death. Do not ever put me in a bracket like this again. If you want we can organize a fight no problem. I will give you a fair 80/20 split purse in my favor seen as your last fight bombed at every area of revenue. At 27 years of age I now hold the key to this game. The game answers to me now."
What's your take on this beef and McGregor's latest comments?
